Forgot to add, it's all only my opinion, and the longer this saga continues, the less I seem to know.
Have a good weekend.
3card, I think you could be spot on. If we were to drill hell for leather on KS without first having the security of the KN concession, then not only would the cash burn be more significant and much faster, Kurt would then also be looking at raising the next wedge sooner and without any concession bolster. What price would we be looking at then for the fundraise? I feel we need the KN concession first, raise the money at a healthier sp, then embark on the KS drill. In view of the politics already in play over the last eight years. Well, perhaps even since we gained the exploration permit.
I wouldn't be too pleased with a fundraise at below the 3.16p level of the last one, which was a whacking discount to the prevailing sp at the time. I did take up the Offer in part, but I wouldn't do so again if no further progress is made with KN. As can be seen, the sp still has yet to recover back to the 5.5/6.5p mark.
So, preserve the funds raised where possible, don't throw the kitchen sink at KS when we haven't yet the licence to move KN along. I feel that would be unnecessary high risk, when there isn't the need. Wait for the concession first, and, of course, we may have to take legal action just in order to get that.
Fine lines.
Agree about cash 3cardbrag... it’s a big year
Re FFS this is getting serious now..
To some extent I have to agree with you. I am prepared to sit it out for as long as it takes within reason. The big worry is cash burn, especially if we forge ahead with other projects.
We certainly can't afford another big placing.
We’ve all got our plans... Keep your eyes on the prize, keep emotions in check and be patient. I don’t think anything has materially changed. Ignore the chatter... UNESCO is the next piece of the jigsaw
I have been selling off for a while now, but as I told you on Facebook I'll dump a large percentage at a set price..if ever we get there.. and I'll keep 50000 to just see what happens... I don't want to be down on this but thing's are dire now... Good luck Pocko..
So you’ve ‘sold’ then Roller1? Tedium...
I doubt if he is over it because he is too weak and way out of his depth...we need a go getter not a yes man that's more than happy to sit and wait..FFS this is getting serious now..
There’s a lot of folk working up a head of steam, without really understanding the implications of the mining review, amongst other things. No one knows the outcome or the impact, if any, on our application. Pure conjecture...
The other concern I have over the spurious referral to UNESCO, the Kallak location was given ANI status for mineral mining in 2013 by the Swedish government!!
So, effectively they are, by default, asking UNESCO if such a status is acceptable?
If, as they should, UNESCO say nowt to do with us, then the mining ANI status is ratified.
Budge needs to be all over this. Why do I have a nagging fear that he is not?
The decision to stop drilling last year was not political, it was Budge being a wuss.
There would have been significant numbers of Sami herdsmen all over that area during the proposed drill period.
Wotitsworth, just a sign not necessarily bad. And it's still projected for this summer.
if the govt have stopped the drilling. Could that be a bad sign.................Hope not
Let’s face it, the delay to the drilling campaign is entirely political...
Rickmeister...There's nothing I'd like better than to be out there again with the drill bit turning... but compensation from the Government isn't a good reason, we'd get compensation when hell freezes over.
Because, as most investors understand, they can’t say ‘no’ as all legal criteria has been met - This much we do know as KB has sought legal advice, which has confirmed this.
TFE. The difference is that you don't normally have to wait 8 years to be told NO
"what's the point spending the money finding a resource if you can't depend on getting the permission to exploit it"
That's always been the case, nothings changed, if you prove up a resource and it's financially viable it doesn't mean you will be able to exploit it. There are no guarantees from the outset.
IMO, if BEM were drilling Kallak right now it would put pressure on the government and further expose this process failure.
Don't forget the drilling program was for KS the concession is for KN.
Suzy2. I think we should explore our concession(s) to the full as the bigger the resource the longer life span of the mine which should weigh in our favour. Secondly, if the Swedish gov is eventually found guilty of manipulating the process the greater the potential compensation to the company. We legitimately hold exploration licences so lets use them to the full.
Well, I can see a very good reason not to drill and that is what's the point spending the money finding a resource if you can't depend on getting the permission to exploit it..that's crazy but it's the situation we're currently in. We proved up a valuable resource eight years ago but we don't know if we'll ever get permission to mine it...and nobody will say why.
‘That said...’ damn iPhone
Fair point on Littorin... But then I said the same about the previous guy. They said, who knows what, if any, dark arts are being deployed?
And absolutely... I can see no legitimate reason for not drilling, and would still like the genuine reason as to why it was cancelled last time...
Yes, Pocko, thanks, you're absolutely right...fatigue sets in occasionally. ;-)
A new policy?
Why? I'll tell you why. To get the feckers through to the next election without making a decision, pure and simple.
You should all write off this year. There will be no decision. UNESCO plus waffle about a new minerals policy is the defence Baylan needs against any increased scrutiny and pressure zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Littorin has done nowt since his arrival. His network should be getting this over the line for the company. Otherwise why appoint a former swedish minister? Expensive luxury, in my view.
And Budge needs to get out of second gear. Go and drill the sh*t out of Kallak South.
Smoke and mirrors... Don’t lose sight of where we are. The matter is with UNESCO. Let’s see where that takes us.
