Hi Ed. The Swe Gov hasn't promised to give us a decision before summer, Kurt has just said that it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect one before then. He must have had positive indications, but no date has been mentioned as such. So a bit of leeway is already built in by the very nature of the wording in that RNS. In my opinion. Hence, should the 21 June (beginning of summer) arrive without a decision, I trust you won't throw an immediate wobbler. I also trust that Kurt will release another RNS update on or around that time, if the Swe Gov is still dawdling, i.e. the reason for that. Atb.
G'day Mite (Seeing as you referred to New Zealand I've lapsed into Aussie speak) ;-)
A good post from you, nice to see some positive views for a change.
The Swedes finally accepted the fact that the delays thrown at us caused this thing to drag on for 6 years without good reason. We received an apology for the delays and they promised to put our application at the top of the list and complete the application "before the summer". The first time that we've had a deadline date.
It can't get much more positive than that. I feel confident that we will get the award this time around. However, if it does fall through for whatever reason, I will be selling our holdings in BEM. Enough is enough. I'm just coming up to my 75th birthday and it's time to start having fun spending our hard earned cash and giving lumps of it to our daughters and grandchildren.

Whilst the majority of lbjj post is undeniably true (yes here comes the but)....but whether Kosovo is an ill judged adventure remains to be seen. Someone/somebody has seen an opportunity here but as we all know BEM is all about Kallak.
We can't wait indefinitely for this license, life investment and opportunities present themselves and rightly or wrongly are taken up.
Obviously there can be no actual physical work (drilling etc) while we await this decision so BEM must be seen to progress as a company.
It must be said that since these latest placings the share price has recovered extremely well no doubt due to the subsequent government contact, and yet again a forthcoming decision from them.
Lastly, if you were in New Zealand 30+ years ago you would have welcomed the reduction to the many biker gangs roaming around at that time.
Just saying.
lbjj... I'm quite impressed with the SP to be honest. I was expecting it to have fallen lower and lower without any positive news but it has remained largely unchanged. I'm sure a lot of people have lost a lot of money on the markets over the last year who would wish they had it invested in the relative safety of Beowulf. Its not all doom and gloom! Onwards and upwards... Although I agree that Kosovo is crap.
NZ much better than Yorkshire then? I wouldn't want to miss an English spring or a long, balmy summer night.
Just back from 3 months in NZ. Wish I’d moved there 30 years ago.
Revisiting my post from mid January before I went, my prediction of no decision on Kallak and a stagnating SP on the sixth anniversary were accurate, despite being derided at the time as negative due to the manufactured euphoria of a “new” government, which turns out to be the same old government.
The news on Kosovo is even worse than I predicted. Two more low priced placings squandered on this ill-judged adventure.
And the Swedish government ( Baylan ), the MI et al still silent.
“ by the summer” is Kurt’s wishful thinking, not the government’s commitment.
Are all the Swedish teenagers over here teaching our Politicians about 'climate change'?
One would have thought they would be much better off going to Stockholm and teaching their own politicians about ethics and business. Just saying.
Good. Hopefully the prices will have to increase. Decent start to the week. Let's see if our ball keeps on rolling.
Looks like people want to buy but no one wants to sell in Sweden
Lol.
Many happy returns Pocko.
Happy 6th Birthday... enough said.
Aye Bob. Or another fundraise in the 5s when we are nearing or exceeding 7. Need some positive momentum now, no pullbacks. Best of luck to us.
Nice to see us moving up again today. Hopefully we'll sustain this upward movement and recover the 'lost ground' AND THEN SOME.
Hope we don't end up with The Who's Summertime Blues (again).
Thanks Sooz. :-)
6.825 / 6.425. Nice upward movement already this morning on hardly any transactions.
It is the feast of our official sixth birthday
Good morning Gentlemen and have a happy day

The BEM song for the season was first exposed to the unsuspecting 'public' at Monetary, California.

Lol. Full length, full on. Yep, thanks Sooz. We can enjoy the sunshine and our tiredness will probably drift away. Have a restful time. x
I'm not just an anorak I'm a full length coat. Good debate today, too tired to engage but some interesting points...for sometime. Hope you have a nice weekend, it's going to be sun shiney.
Good to see you posting again. Thought you'd been submitted to the BEM cryogenics program. :-)
Only my view John, and you should know by now, I don't get much right. Lol. Atb.
Astrological anorak you be. Lol. Happy Easter. X
