Hi 3card. I haven't previously had any spare money with which to average down, and this time it will be a massive stretch, but the difference largely with this investment is that a Government is the culprit for our woes, and not the CEO of the Company itself. In my opinion. BMR was run by a couple of consecutive charlatans who screwed us over, whereas it isn't the case here, even though I'm unhappy with some of the decisions that have been made.
Anyway, we shall see if it's worth it to take up the Offer, even in part, but if it wasn't, I have to believe that I wouldn't be entertaining the idea.
Best of luck to you 3card. Fingers crossed for a positive Kallak outcome and a better sp performance going forward.
Sorry Suzy. Lol.
Good to see you thinking of taking up offer Eric. You've always declined to average down in the past. Or was that on BMR.
GOOD LUCK
Good news re your Halifax broker PAYJJ. Now you just have to mull over what to do.
At least we have time to decide.
Best wishes with it all.
Almal...It's a bit stressful I know but everybody's situation is different, nobody can say what's right for someone else. But I do find other people's comments helpful.
Right, I've read it now...sort of. It's too messy so far as I can tell to transfer Options from certificated shares to ISAs so I'm going to do the easy thing and treat them as two different transactions, sending a cheque to Neville Registrars and buying the on-line by pressing the button, soon as I've managed to find the money.
It's well set out and very detailed but I'm still getting my head round it... I want to take all my Options in ISAs and I have half and half certificated and uncertificated. It says you can do that but I haven't been able to get into Barclays yet. I don't know what CREST is, I presume it's online shares with whoever deals with them for you.
Hi all,
Is it possible to accept the open offer but not with my current broker? I'm with Halifax but want to move the shares before the placing?
Eric, Halifax have just sent the corporate action through.
3 shares for every 8 owned at a price of 3.16p per new share
We could do with a spot of witchcraft or sorcery from hereon in. Well over seven and a half years of waiting, there must be a potion we can give to old failin' Baylan and his shirking shifties to deliver on Sweden's legal obligation to our little Company. Lol.
Afty aft. x
Hi Sooz. Take your time reading through. Still waiting for my letterbox to rattle. I feel the BOD members had to subscribe to the Offer, because the discount given was so large that it would have been damning if they hadn't. They had no option, if they were to try and sell the take up of the offer to shareholders. Lead by example kind of thing. That way it also attempts to mask a fundraise at a dire sp.
I'm still very unhappy about it, particularly if you consider the three month sp graph, when it was at 6p or more for a month or so and Kurt didn't raise the money then. I would have been happy with s discount to 4.5p from 6p. I think his bottle went once the Nordic investor with deep pockets popped up. He snatched their hand off at a hefty cost to existing shareholders and what was the sp.
Only my thoughts, but as your good self and Pocko have said, we are where we are.
Yes, it could have been what Linus was referring to.
I've about £1500 which I'm going to put into this, then that's that. Timing of this fundraise and Offer is another issue you see, with Christmas peeping out its big toe. How many folks can afford to find extra money on top of earmarked Christmas pennies at this time of year? Dunno.
Bah humbug me lover. Lol. x
Eric, about that 16p rise...is Linus hinting at that in his last letter?
Morning All. My envelope just came and it's very big probably take me all day to read it. Thanks for your valuable input everyone, it does need a bit of thought. Eric...the historical matter of previous Options is complicated and I've been thinking about the implications of it...nobody could have imagined then that it would take more than five years to deliver this Concession. And, the Board are subscribing to this Offer at the going rate. Stick around. x
Hi Rick. Seems that way, and the sp is already taking a real hit. Not the best move by Kurt this latest fundraise, in my opinion, such a large amount at a low sp, before Kallak is sorted. We can't ever seem to really get going. He mentions that Kosovo and Finland aren't yet reflected in the sp, surely neither fully is Kallak, but if he keeps giving 35% plus discounts at fundraise time, then it won't matter if they are or not. We won't notice, with all the dilution.
Not happy, but will try my best to find a way out of the current hole.
We need stunningly great news.
Good luck to you.
One day perhaps.
Morning Eric. Rock and a hard place. If you have the money little option as dilutive effect already revealing itself. Swedish investors have the same dilemma. lets hope that works to our advantage. In shares there's short term, medium and long and now the new definition Bem term!
Aye, the good old 16p rise then uninvestigated flash crash to 10p. Nice that wasn't it? Was a good while ago now mind.
I'm trusting that if the KU has no bite, then Kurt will do something about the situation, because we can't carry on like this, and the little bugger has extended the date for take up of his Options, which I'm still not chuffed about, so he better pull something out of the bag for us to warrant that.
Only my view. Lol.
Best of luck to us all. Signing off again now for a while.
Yes agreed, I've been here almost 7/8 years for my sins... I really hope we start getting some positive momentum soon. From everything that's been presented to us, we know that the application is watertight. There is just a tiny spot of doubt in everyone's minds about whether this share will take off and I can't blame them considering what has happened repeatedly up to this point. I should of sold when we went to 16p on the news of a possible decision years ago.
Like you say
Hey ho.
Good luck to you Cowfish. Kurt has put us high average no funds shareholders in a right pickle.
Let's trust that if we close our eyes and throw more pennies in it'll be worth it.
Blind faith with the odd chance of a handy gold strike. Lol.
I should have really said that I hope the KU will set the Government a timeframe for delivery of a decision, whether the case is referred to UNESCO or not. If the KU is investigating the handling of our application, then surely it would be inappropriate to extend our waiting time much further than it already has been, by allowing the Government to continue to sit on our application behind whatever excuse it comes up with next.
Hey ho.
I'm in a similar position to Eric wrt average. No news through on HL as of this mornig that I can see - Barclays has the note though.
ATB
Not sure then, but we should be getting hard copies via post anyway. You have a good average (we hope), so I guess you are in a decent position to decide if it's worth taking up more shares on or around your original price. Will the sp dip below 3.16p? It better not do!
I'm in a real hole here with my average, so I'm scraping together a bit of cash to take up some of the shares offered, unless the sp dives beforehand, then I'll buy on the open market. It shouldn't drop to below the Offer Price because we'll be paying cash directly to BEM by taking up our share allocations and surely not every shareholder will wait until the very last minute to take up the offer. Lol.
The KU will hopefully set a timeframe for the Government to deliver a decision, if indeed our application is to be shuffled off to UNESCO. I'm really trusting though that the KU will deem it wholly unnecessary that UNESCO gets involved at all. As long as the heat is on the Government I think we should be pleased. Of course, there is the nagging doubt in my mind that the KU will let the Government off from facing the firing squad.
Have to see.
Best of luck with your share decision.
Hi Eric,
Thanks, I had a look and the only thing in there is the Rolls Royce issue that just took place. I'll keep holding on. I've invested alot here at under 4p so I just don't know if it's worth grabbing up more shares anyway...I'm hoping for a positive reply from KU
Hi PAYJJ. I've had nothing through the post yet, but it should be here shortly. If you go into your Halifax account you may see something under 'Corporate Actions', but the Offer Prospectus may not be there, only your confirmation letter and share allocation details.
Prospectus being large and all. Good old postie.
I hold a large number of shares at early days prices. I haven't had anything through from Halifax.
You can have a lie-in for a couple of weeks then. Lol.
This is what is says under HSBC Corporate Actions Eric.
"We will contact you by post for corporate actions when we require you to make a decision"
I'd best be up early tomorrow to catch Postie
