If UNESCO come back with a NO its game over. However they cant, which is pretty obvious for those following the detail. A YES gives the government the green light they need. I will be taking up full placing, which if completed puts more value on the company due to the cash in bank. No brainer. Also with two other streams now growing value.
Al. I suspect he got a ban. As far as Admin are concerned he can mercilessly attack and abuse us all day long but he made the mistake of playing the racist card with his Jewish comment.
Eric... They did it! Now I'm feeling much better.
I'm supposing the Nordic backers wanted it as cheaply as possible, and Kurt obliged. If only he could have convinced them at 7p, to take a discount to 5.5p. That would have been much less of a sickener. Bad timing perhaps, and you rightly mention the UNESCO nugget, which obviously knackered our sp somewhat. Doesn't take much does it? Lol.
I am quite surprised that Kurt wasn't livid when he got wind of the Government's suggestion to get UNESCO involved, maybe he could have corresponded with the KU to ensure that our application was not to be delayed further for any such comments. He didn't seem too unhappy in the time of the RNS which confirmed what the Government had suggested to KU.
Only my take on it, but I hope he's not relying totally on the KU to work for us, because that isn't what they are tasked with. We still don't know if the KU will allow the Government to refer our case to UNESCO, after having sat idly on it for three years or so.
Some red faces I would hope Sooz.
By the way, good old Joe Biden! Unseating the orange monster. Lol.
definitely but don’t stop now, where is the idiot busterhogdog, must be in hospital drying out ,LOL
Hi 3card. Yes, I know re your first point, but I can't afford to take up all of the qualifying offered shares, let alone take up any extra after that. Lol. My feeling on the second point is related to the first point, insofar as perhaps people are buying more shares on the open market now, before the cut-off qualifying date of 16 November, so that a greater number of the 3.16p shares offered can be acquired. Three of the discounted shares for every eight held by the cut-off date.
Hence the sp hasn't completely tanked.
Only a view.
Does that make me a ramper Suzy? Lol
Just thinking...3card hits the nail on the head with positive moving forward ...and it might be gold.
Sorry that doesn't quite make sense but I don't know what does...everytime we get a good run we get knocked back again by some unfortunate sort of comment or lack of comment.
Eric...Yes, I see how you feel and I'm sorry. Just one point about the sp currently floundering at 5p..that was directly the result of that UNESCO spectre being raised, which might have been after this deal was set up. And after the independent quality report of the ore and good results from Kosovo, which were the drivers to 7p imo...the reaction to the KU Meeting was very unfortunate and we got a kicking. Anyway, good luck with the gold it might be brilliant.
Two points there Eric. I believe there is also the opportunity to take up excess shares which at 3.16p would help to bring your high average right down. Although I suspect there won't be too many of those available.
Secondly, it was pleasing to see the sp holding up well after the announcement. I take this as a positive moving forward.
Good luck to us all
That RNS was hard for me to stomach I'm afraid. The discount was far too acute and he's raised much more than we need, at such a low level. The Nordic backers are obviously quite ruthless. I would have preferred slow and steady, then raise more again once the sp is higher. I mean, it has been between 6 and 7p quite consistently. So he cut the deal when it was floundering back down at around 5p. The discount is slightly more than 35% on that as well, if my maths is right.
I know he's trying to drive us into mid-tier, but the additional shares for people with high averages is a real kick when we are already down. The offer to shareholders is only to mask the low level fundraise, in my opinion.
I will probably take it up, but I'm far from pleased with what he's done.
Cheers
Thanks, 3card..good.
Pocko/Al
Just been looking through old paperwork for an open offer from BMR Mining. The paperwork did indeed come from HSBC and in this case I received 2 letters as some of my shares were in the ISA and some not.
Letter for ISA contains the following:
"If you have chosen to take up the offer inside your ISA ad there are insufficient funds in your ISA cash account, all or part of your entitlement will be moved out of the ISA and the relevant subscriptions debited from your nominee settlement account"
At the time, I had no spare cash in my ISA and allowance for the year was already used so both lots of shares were taken up outside my ISA and later transferred in.
So it seems you may be able to take the shares as ISA shares after all in certain circumstances.
Hope that helps.
Cheers 3cardbrag...
Al , from my distant memory I seem to recall receiving a letter in the past which instructed me to go into "corporate actions" on the site to tell them which of several options to go for and to make sure funds available in feeder account by the required date.
Not sure if you can do that with uninvested cash within your ISA. I suspect not as they are not traded shares at that point. Presumably you would have to transfer the new shares into your ISA within your annual allowance once they hit the market.
3 card I have all of my portfolio with invest direct do I have to contact them or will they contact me ,
I’d be interested to know... I’m with Barclays too
Barclays get in touch electronically to give notice their management fee is due; so it should come under managing it...might give them a ring on Monday.
This election is stressing me out, I'm hoping to be recovered by Monday.
Do they send the paperwork electronically? Likely to be out the country when they send paperwork!
Thanks, 3card, I'm with Barclays and I hope they send the paperwork without me having to ask for it.
Suzy. As far as I'm aware, if they're in your name, they qualify for the rights issue.
In past RIs in other shares, my nominee, HSBC InvestDirect have got in touch with paperwork
Does anyone know if the shares we hold in ISAs will qualify for the Options...can't see why not but would they be on the Company's shares register?
