The permit examination regarding Kallak and Laver
INTERPELLATION 2020/21: 216 BY LARS HJÄLMERED (M)
1. When does the Minister and the Government intend to make a decision on a possible mining in Kallak and Laver?
2. How does the Minister view the Constitution Committee's criticism that the government has not taken any measures to enable a decision on a processing concession in Kallak?
3. How does the Minister assess that delays in permit matters of this type affect Sweden's reputation as a mining nation and companies' willingness to invest in Sweden?

John, 19.5p was a great average once upon a time. We must both trust that it will be surpassed again with a Kallak concession and hopefully positive progress on the other two projects. The Finland and Kosovo projects are not priced into the current sp, according to Kurt, and it's a good job they aren't, lol, but he needs to find a way next year of getting the formula right so they cannot be ignored by the market.
But of course we need a result on Kallak first, our most advanced project. Kurt must not accept any further delay nonsense and press for a concession decision if the Swedes continue to treat us with contempt. If he doesn't, it will be difficult for me to trust in his ability to delivery on those other two projects, should they encounter any problems.
Only my thoughts
Good luck to us.

That got me thinking about the Monty Python "What did the Romans ever do for us" sketch
and ABBA
and saunas
Their neutrality was useful to us and we also got the ball bearings..to be fair.
Let's not forget the Swedish government is consistent in not being trusted. They were happy to supply huge amounts of ball bearings throughout the the second world war to the Nazis, absolutely essential to their armaments industry; knowing full well the devastating effect the Nazis had on their neighbouring countries. I feel they will only look after themselves in their snug little world, so don't be surprised if the answer, when it comes, is "NO".
Someone might think to ask him if he knows the law...his predecessor, Mr Damberg said "The Law is enough".
If he feels cornered tomorrow, which I very much doubt he will, his get out of jail card is UNESCO and I doubt the swedes have even got round to contacting them yet.
Tomorrow will pass without forward progress and Baylan will knock off for the weekend without a second thought for Kallak.
But the question he has to answer from Eric Palmquist is nothing to do with the KU except that it's the same question...coming from more than one direction.
Just noticed that debate is Case 10 and we're Case 11.
PaulAim....Why do you say this fantastic country and have nothing good to say about it, I'm genuinely interested? I've never been so I don't know what it's like from personal experience.
"sinecures" has become my word of the week :-)
In general, Swedes hate conflict. Even the bar fights I saw when I worked over in that fantastic country were all pantomime.
Winning a legal battle is a given, but what could Beowulf sue the Government for in addition to their outlay, lost income based on estimated iron ore quantities? Thoughts?
I feel sorry for the peeps who invested in here at 50p+. Given the dilution they would need to discover Kryptonite to get their money back.
Can’t say no, won’t say yes.
Tomorrow will see no change to that position.
The law, which clearly would come down on the side of BEM must be kep at arm’s length, so the cowardly swedes can avoid what they fear most - conflict which jeopardises their cushy, superannuated sinecures.
" If they turn us down they can't very well hand it to LKAB, can they."
Unfortunately they would find a way, any number of reasons or excuses. They have shown already they have the power to do exactly as they want without repercussions.
The current lot are in the Greens pocket and that will remain so until there is a change of government in the mining industry's favour.
To wait for this is too high gamble imo and if their UNESCO prompted report doesn't work out for them and they still fail to make a decision then its the legal route. Otherwise we may just as well bung the money straight into the Directors' pockets and be done with it.
Is it because they're held hostage by the MP or is it because they want to pick it up for nothing and it's nothing to do with the MP? It could be either, but personally I favour the hostage situation. If they turn us down they can't very well hand it to LKAB, can they.

discussing report - could be revealing - only so many times they can say "we're working on it" - they've been found out and will have to come up with something constructive for utterly failing to do their job. They can't admit the truth (the Greenies won't allow it) because it's NOT a political decision - it's a mining decision and they should have made it many years ago. Hopefully someone will point out the number of times they wrongly batted this away for some time consuming irrelevant exercise just so they could avoid making a decision. I will happily take a NO at this point because I know it will be overturned by the courts (and they know it).
He'll do nothing Ibjj...but the Riksdag will take note and there could be consequences of a sticky wicket nature. The question to be answered tomorrow comes from Eric Palmquist SD.
will be fully aware of the rights issue deadline and wants the company to fail, so what do you think he will do between now and then?
Agree entirely Eric.I do think Kallak will come good but not under this government"I would love a 13.5 average.Currently sitting on 19.5and at my age I can see my grandkids enjoying this one.lol.Atb.
Just noticed a 400000 buy on the first of dec gone through, very puzzling when the share price will go down,
Hi John. Bit of a nightmare really. In order to reduce our averages it requires more money. That's what I don't like. Lol.
You make a great point re the averages though.
Quite a lot of info to take in of late, and we don't know if a decision on Kallak will now come very soon or not, due to the KU concluding that the Government has been rubbish in dealing with our application. It should help speed things up, but will it? We also don't know whether Kurt is willing to just sit back re pushing for a decision and wait however long for UNESCO and then the Government again, because Kosovo is suddenly in the foreground throwing up all of these potential exploration hot spots, and he's merrily occupied in targeting those.
We have time in hand before we have to decide re the Offer anyway. I definitely don't like the idea of a 13.5p average though, after the price we are being diluted at. The massive discount still hurts, and if we hadn't have been given the chance to take part in it, I would have wanted Kurt to thoroughly explain his decision of selling our soul on the cheap. In fact, he still should do. Why such a severe discount? It has put existing holders who are skint in a spot of jeopardy, knowing the otherwise harshly dilutive effect on their holdings if they don't subscribe to the Offer. It's also a pity we can't guarantee that the sp won't drop below the Offer Price. Lol.
Anyway, as Pocko has said, we are where we are. Make or break next year, in my view. The Kallak concession award is a must, and a discovery at Kosovo is badly needed, considering we are seemingly Vardar's cash cow.
Cheers John. All the best.
Good morning Eric.It sounds as though you and I are in a very similar position with our holding.I would dearly like to get my average down further and have the opportunity to throw a shed load of money at the offer (subject to finding the funds.lol)
but then I think the couple of pence difference it will make at the end of the day, is it worth the risk? If we get the licence and this takes off as expected then the small price difference per share will be immaterial.Like you, I will sit tight until nearer the time but I am reluctant to throw more money at it given the current situation.Good luck.
