after some implied today was an important day!
Just in case you didn't understand that..Linda Ylvainio has championed our cause, and she's been one of the few to put her head above the parapet and express her support for the Kallak project's potential benefit to Jokkmokk.
"I've personally never found recordings of them to be anything other than horrific"
That what the Sami thought about Linda lol, you're digging a hole there Suzy.
Hitler's speeches was directed towards Ibjj of course not to Rune1. Thanks Rune.
I never heard one of Hitler's speeches and I don't suppose you did but we both know what was being said even if we don't understand German...and I've personally never found recordings of them to be anything other than horrific.
Haha. Linda is clearly frustrated of the process, she said that it's very tragicomic and don't know whether to laugh or cry
FarEnd....I already know what she has written about this, I know her opinion of the project....when I said she came across very well that's precisely what I meant. I wish I could have a translation but I haven't and it doesn't seen reasonable to me that she would have got up onto her feet and said something entirely different from what she has already written. I repeat, she was absolutely great! You're the spin doctor... I make an effort to speak the truth so far as I can work it out.
I don’t speak a word of German, but seeing Adolf Hitler’s rally speeches, they seem incredibly upbeat....
C’mon Suzy. Your comment is just plain daft.
I believe it's this one! Approx. 1:20:40 in.

Rune1. Yes, she's great! ;-)

Unbelievable, I haven't got a clue what she said but it sounded positive, "she came across very well and of course I knew what she was talking about even if I didn't know what she was saying."
Meanwhile the SP is dropping like a stone, I nearly fell off my chair when I read that lo!lo!
Now that's a positive spin, you just gotta laugh. :-)
Linda is great! The recording is here and starts around the 1 hour 20 minute mark. Thanks Nalfaren from Avanza :) https://www.riksdagen.se/sv/webb-tv/video/debatt-om-for****/granskningsbetankande-hosten-2020_H801KU10
Spoke as Linda Modig and I imagine a recording of the presentation will be viewable again in a few days.
Riksdag Member for Norbotten County (Centre Party) has given a very good presentation this morning. Don't know if anyone watched it but she was impressive and impassioned about Kallak. I don't speak Swedish but nevertheless, she came across very well and of course I knew what she was talking about even if I didn't know what she was saying. Looks like the Baylan response is 18 Dec.
?
Hahahaha. I've pre-ordered mine, hopefully out before Christmas.
As regards our present situation, it feels like we are small speedboats trying to nudge an ocean liner onto the correct course.
I remember and I agree 100%...but since that happened it hasn't felt this close again. It also feels like we've come along way with the ideology of legal enforcement and more pressure towards the Gov. The change has been the backing and support we seem to have. And the egg on the face of the Gov is the icing on the cake (which everyone sees)
Sweden remains complacent in so many areas, including its response to covid. It is belatedly closing schools, bars etc and its death toll is comparable to the UKs (based on population nos.). Whilst in no way a militant nation there is unease about the general political inertia. Money has to come from somewhere. Watch out for ABBA's Greatest Hits re-release!
It should feel like the finishing tape is in site, yes.
However, equivalent positivity has been the feeling so many times before.
For example, remember ASA, the head of the MI saying a process was being put in place to reach a decision “ within weeks “ The positivity at that point was more real than now.
That was almost 4 years ago.
The swedes are very good at leading you by the hand up the long and winding garden path, only to close the door at the final step. BEWARE.
IMO, this mine is in the bag! Personally I think it can only go one way now. It's not just questions and pressures, it really feels positive. Can anyone deny the positive vibes, we're edging closer to a positive decision.
Thanks Tintin.
question for baylan; - you can watch it on the telly if you want....
Interpellation 2020/21: 216 The permit examination regarding Kallak and Laver
by Lars Hjälmered (M)
to Minister of Trade and Industry Ibrahim Baylan (S)
Recently, the Riksdag's constitutional committee presented its annual review of the government, which is criticized on several points. The government is criticized, among other things, for its belated handling of the permit to establish a mine in Kallak.
In three years, the government has done nothing to bring the process to an end and the mine to get a permit. In addition, when the applicants have on several occasions requested a meeting with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, they have been refused. Another project that has had to wait an unreasonably long time for a decision is the Laver mining area.
According to information, the government has now begun negotiations to speed up the process of obtaining a permit for the mine in Kallak. But the government has not yet given any information on how it intends to proceed with permits for the mines in Kallak and Laver.
The mining and minerals industry accounts for large export revenues and employs many people in Sweden. When the government cannot give any information, investments cannot be completed, jobs are not created and the benefits for the environment are not realized. In addition, long processing times and uncertain processes make Sweden less relevant for foreign investment.
In view of this, I would like to ask Minister of Trade and Industry Ibrahim Baylan:
When does the Minister and the Government intend to make a decision on a possible mining in Kallak and Laver?
How does the Minister view the Constitution Committee's criticism that the government has not taken any measures to enable a decision on a processing concession in Kallak?
How does the Minister assess that delays in permit matters of this type affect Sweden's reputation as a mining nation and companies' willingness to invest in Sweden?
I agree. I've already said it shouldn't have any bearing on when a concession decision comes.
We know the Swedish ministers love their excuses though.
Irrelevant.
The ore would be exported from Sweden, an EU country?
Why is Brexit brought up as the root of all evil? Nonsense.
