No need for another placing at the moment
Well SP Angel, are a bunch of Spivs, - so I wud suggest a Placing.......that wud sound about right, given BEM's previous MO.
IMHO. DYOR. GLA.
From SPS website... a strong track record of successful fund raisings, including AIM IPOs and secondary placings, merger and acquisition advice as well as private fundraising and advisory transactions, especially during difficult market conditions. Could be another share dilution coming, or JV .... Hard to tell
Yes, but looking at who they are indicates a possible strategic move.
Isn't it just a change of Broker?
Nice move
things starting to move?
Appointment of Nominated Adviser and Broker
Beowulf (AIM: BEM; Spotlight: BEO), the mineral exploration and development company, focused on the Kallak magnetite iron ore project and the Ã…tvidaberg polymetallic exploration licence in Sweden, and its graphite portfolio in Finland, is pleased to announce the appointment of SP Angel as Nominated Adviser and Broker to the Company with immediate effect.
We’ve been aware of that for a long tine Bobtree... but a timely reminder nonetheless. The fact is, there has never been a legitimate resason for a refusal. That is more apparent now than ever. What has also become very apparent, is that the process was politicised, and that is the very reason for this delay. The law is on our side...
I don't know what the status of this document is guidance or mandatory etc. BUT it certainly has a positive spin to kit.
I particularly like the bit about Exploitation concession. " A concession is valid for a defined area, decided on the basis of the extent of the deposit., the purpose of the concession and other circumstances. A concession HAS to be granted if a mineral deposit has been found which can probably be exploited economically."
Does this mean what it says? Am I misunderstanding it somehow?
What reason have the authorities for not granting us the permit?
Nice one
Hopefully we won't have anymore delays caused by the Sami and the Greenies banging in silly protests just to cause delays. Sounds like the government are finally moving in the right direction.
Good info Tintin. Groundless appeals should be quickly given the heave. Great to see that actually happening.
I mentioned last week that pemits/appeals were carrying on regardless of the election. There had been an appeal against Copperstone's licence but this was given short shrift;
RVIDSJAUR THE mining permit of the Berg State for the Evafiction west of Glommersträsk is stuck. According to P4 Norrbotten , the government decided on Friday not to review the appeal from a private person opposing a mine. The reason is that the person is not considered to be affected by the mining plans and therefore has no right to appeal.
It was last year that the Copperstone Resource Company was granted a processing concession for the Eva K deposit , consisting of gold, silver, lead, copper and zinc.
Basically b*gger off - it's nothing to do with you...Let's see a bit more of that with Kallak.
Good to have a Ka-Pow! now and then. :-) Nighty. x
Good point re Jan-Ola. LKAB in my thoughts all weekend now.
Remember our geologist, Jan Ola Larsson had a position at LKAB:
Jan-Ola holds a geology degree from Uppsala University and a PhD in geochemistry from Imperial College London. He has over 40 years of varied experience in Canada, Brazil and Sweden. Previously held positions include Head of Geochemistry at Geological Survey of Sweden, LKAB Exploration Company and Barringer Research Ltd. and Exploration Manager for Tetron Mineracao S/A and North Star Diamonds AB.
Ed, I'm not sure that I'm right. The LKAB site does refer to exploration. Bit confusing, as you mention, but if State owned and the State doesn't explore, does LKAB explore and recommend what to exploit? Who bloody pays for it? Lol. Answers on a herring head.
Yes, I think it does.
Nighty night. x
Otherwise Ed, LKAB would surely have been all over Kallak, long before we got to explore and prove it up. I think that calls for a Ka-Pow! Only my thoughts, as ever. The point is, our ball is rolling.
My take is that LKAB is the recognised State miner and as the State doesn't explore. LKAB therefore doesn't explore, it only exploits the resources or acts as agreed with and directed by the State. Resources being proven up by other mining/exploration companies that aren't under State ownership. I may be wrong, but in accordance with the existing policy, the lack of exploration makes sense, insofar as it means that there won't be the continual burning through of State funds. LKAB only stepping in then at the business end, to partner with or buy out companies on behalf of the State, in order to exploit those proven resources and bring home the national bacon. All in my opinion though. Cheers Ed.
Cheers Sooz. Trusty UN document. Trump-proof. Lol.
Hi Eric
I remember reading that document a long time ago. At the time I thought it was a bit confusing. LKAB is state owned but does that mean it is the state and therefore cannot undertake any exploration. Now my head really hurts !
On the brighter side I'm clairvoyant and I've just had a chat with Admiral Nelson. I asked him when we are getting our permit and he replied "When I get my eye back" ;o)
atb
Eric.
Point being, we've done the required donkey work and have 'proven' that Kallak is indeed a premium quality and extensive deposit. Knock knock.
LKAB, being a State Miner, may have known how potentially excellent Kallak was, before we secured the exploration permits, but it is governed by the rules. As in, the State does not undertake any exploration. It is on page one here, of the UN site for Swedish Mining, under 'Access to geological information': http://www.un.org/esa/dsd/dsd_aofw_ni/ni_pdfs/NationalReports/sweden/Mining.pdf Cheers Ed.
