Another major staging post is nearing fruition. Can't see any reason why Ganfeng should go away now.It is time the SP reflected our current position.Agree about the oil companies and Wolfi's chart.Time to dig in and add at these levels.
Further to my last post, a YouTube documentary (the Tesla conspiracy) that I watched last night also bought up a very good point.
They said that half of the 100 million barrels of oil produced each day goes to the automotive industry. At $50 a barrel that represents $2.75 billion.
If the oil industry can slow down the uptake of the EV by just one day, it makes that millions, or billions of dollars. After watching that, I think the oil industry is also helping hold back the investment in new technology (and lithium mining). Even if it just spending money on spreading FUD, it has a direct knock on effect on investment in all new sectors relating to the electrification of transport
Is that 100,000 for Sonora or all Genfangs Lithium Production. Really great if it was Sonora.
Didn’t want to look for negatives, very happy with today’s rns. No hype, no bluster just a steady flow of info as the relevant parties sign off the deal.
This share is just so frustrating though!
I was listening to the fully charged podcast this morning, and they were interviewing a panel of experts from the rail, marine and aviation industries. The topic was the electrification of the above.
And one panellist said something quite pertinent about timeframes, which I think applies here.
Because of government policy banning ice in 2030-2040 etc, people have a laid back approach to the electrification of transport, in that we have ages to sort it out.
I think this sentiment applies here. Everybody knows we need loads of lithium, but not for a few more years so we have loads of time to sort it out.
I prefer to listen to Simon Moores , Joe Lowry and Howard Klein, who are all saying the same thing.
Investment in junior miners is pitiful and that is going to cause huge problems sooner than people realise (I think Tony Seba’s work on S curves applies here). Hopefully we will be producing as these problems occur, and will be able to fill a decent chunk of the market with our battery grade products.
Buying in at this stage will be looked back on as the investment opportunity of the century if you ask me!
Good RNS, BUT I am still not sure, why this share gets so much pressure. Why are we not around 90-110 as all the previous years... very unclear.
https://www1.hkexnews.hk/listedco/listconews/sehk/2019/0628/ltn201906281856.pdf ...
at the 35th meeting of the fourth session of the board of directors held on 28 june 2019... the company considered and approved the transaction with 10 votes for... 0 against and 0 abstention... and authorised the management of the company to deal with related matters of the transaction at its sole discretion...
Could double in a flash
Exactly.Dont know why some are looking for problems. The board meeting approval is just a formality.Great opp to buy in cheap before the inevitable re-rate
Due to the following in this mornings RNS:
Our technical team is commencing its review to identify areas where Ganfeng can add value to the project delivery. Ganfeng is committed to supporting Bacanora in its financing and commencing development of the Sonora Project in the coming months." It is proposed that Mr. Wang will join the Board of Bacanora as a Director upon the completion of the Ganfeng investment.
Agree. The encouraging thing for me is Ganfeng have already started to look at the project to determine cost savings. So any delay in final signature won’t delay this process.
It could be a number of Pi's, Even Antharry has the option to affect the SP with his large holding.
NST
Here we are ... todays RNS seems to be the trigger to "resolve" the large SHS formation -)

If I am right - and the the odds are in our favour - we will get a breakaway gap today and never will see such a low SP again !!
That’s what’s depressing NST. According to their just released RNS, they still hold 0.5%. Which begs the question, who has been selling over the last 2 weeks?
Final approval to be in the coming weeks. KDNC are probably out and this should stop the traders now as it could drop at any time. Champion. GLAH

Further to my recent posts I am now less concerned regarding this company. The RNS today goes a long way to easing my concerns. I shall still slightly cautious until the final hurdle is negotiated whic I am sure it will soon . GLA
Well that’s depressing!
We reiterate our Buy recommendation and 114p target price.
Finally some news we’ve been waiting for! I’m not going to lie I’ve been getting a bit worried. But at the end of the day I think we all just doubt it and we should be more confident about the great company that we are invested in and the massive potential it has! Yes they aren’t great with keeping us in the loop but doesn’t that just make it more exciting ha ha. Jokes aside though, this is great news and can’t wait for the weeks, months ahead now. I’m more than happy to wait for the third agreement to be signed off now that we know there’s no problems to worry about! Have a great day guys!!!!
Why mention it then? It could easily be the case that a board decision is now required following their fund raising issue.
I know you think I'm some kind of de-ramper, despite my frequent comments about how much I like the project, but I'm not. I'm afraid bitter experience with this share has taught me never to believe anything until it's done and dusted and the money is in the bank. This strikes me as prudent, not negative.
I suspect if Ganfeng are playing nice then the further investment would come shortly after they have established the reduced construction cost and programme for the project.
So somewhere around 6 months from now given the fact that close to 2 months of the allocated 6 month period post strategic investment sign off has now passed.
If so then things should look very rosey around here as BCN construction costs exposure would be substantially reduced.
Following a board meeting is not the same as following board approval, let’s not look for problems that don’t exist. The agreement has been signed, there is not further board approval required.
Mr James, no, not yet.
Very pleased that stage 2 has been approved and am sure stage 3 will also receive the go-ahead; even if it is now subject to a previously unannounced board approval.
I'll be pleased when there is absolute 100% clarity that the entire funding package has been put in place. And that we see an end to Mr Secker's obfuscation.
Each RNS creates liquidity which often is used to sell holdings (if there are sellers in the market) ...
But if most of the sellers have already gone (-> little selling pressure) and RNS / outlook is positive and company is undervalued it´s time to buy !! TODAY !!
Morning all,
Good news this morning once again and everything looks very much like it is ticking along nicely. I haven't posted for a while because quite frankly I am very content with where this is all heading. Once Chinese investors establish a target there is generally very little that knock them off course.
For me thoughts would be better concentrated on when and in what form the next Ganfeng investment in Sonora is coming because as the quote below strongly indicates, it is coming.
"We are continuing to progress the approval process in China in order to complete our initial investment in Bacanora Lithium and its Sonora Project."
