Paul keating put his arm around her waist.
It's ridiculous. They are just delaying the inevitable rate rise.
The longer they leave it, the larger it will have to be.
Taverham, Bailey has that sort of face, as soon as you clock him, you want to give him a slap.
Typical example of the type of kid that got bullied at school, then had to pick up the soap !
Bailey could earn a fortune selling all his knowledge as fertiliser.
Only this morning we were all discussing that he was arrogant enough to leave rates today and claim he was putting jobs and homes first.
Does he and the other 7 fools ( Not the 2 who voted in favour of a increase) not realise inflation is a dangerous card to play with, under these current conditions.
All he will achieve is to do more damage to the economy in way of material costs, cancelled orders and fuel stagflation !
The bloke is a weapon, he is a bare faced lier who can not even quote the word truth, least speak any.
Bailey needs to answer to the U.K just how come the American Banks are all at a real time high, whilst the U.K cant even claw back from 2008.
He was useless in his previous role, lied to get his current position and is far too set on proving that this is a temporary inflationary period, sorry but since when has the word temporary been used to describe what will be a t least a year !
When think of the word temporary I usually envisage it next a set of traffic lights on a road work sign !
The bloke makes my p155 boil .
Anyhow, hopefully Barcs will dig in and use this area late 180's / low 190's as support .
If not Mrs Wolf will need to put her fur coat on as the heatings going off lol
Andrew Bailey is proving as useless at the BOE as he was at the FCA imv - wouldnt rely on him to tell what tomorrow is let alone anything else.
MVarawa
Without going off tangent, we were actually managing to keep some connection with Barclays with these past comments lol.
Yes , agree lots of things are upsetting and majority of us can do nothing, apart from watch it un fold.
Though I would like you to consider this, QATAR (Ex Barcs bank financial support lol) and Bin Fish Face's crew, the same ones in fact who travelled to Turkey to brutally torture and murder Khashoggi , were also filmed ! outside Harrods, Kensington ****ging off our Queen Liizzie . Publicly calling her a "Dog , she is nothing to us apart from a dog"
This is the only thing that has come out of it to date .............Scotland Yard has begun a high-level investigation after a Saudi human rights activist was attacked in a London street by two men accused of being agents for Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s regime.
Bet you that report was filed under : B1n.
Barclays will always be remembered doing business with them. nothing to do with anyones religion at all.
Funny you should mention placing hands on backsides, it wasn't that long ago when Australias Paul Keating tapped our Queen Liz on the backside , that also caused a stir lol.
We just need to count our lucky stars that the U.K's FCA didn't fine Barclays share holders for that incident too, considering Paul Keating held accounts with the Westpac, which Barclays were associated and worked together at that time lol.
Regards W'
MrWolf.
55 yr old man in Afghanistan bought a 9 yr old girl from her family to be his wife.
Not one feminist raised a stir, not female supporters of ant Muslim owned football club blinked an eye.
No celebrities demanded action.
Boris was Boris.
The Queen will welcome the Arabs any day as long as they bring nice gifts for her and Charlie boy.
Only one newspaper ran the story.
The EU did what the EU does ! nothing.
The UN well !
But if I placed my hand on a woman's backside all the above would want by guts ripped out.
people don't want the truth, could not handle the truth don't care about the truth, after WW1 the government of the day was afraid of the returning troops carrying out a revolution, they learnt that the best way to keep the men happy was to let them watch football on a Saturday after noon after working their standard Saturday morning shift, then let them go to the pub on the Sunday and get some beer inside them and let them sleep it off,it worked a dream. After WW1 the government gave money to develop the football grounds . Football, beer and cigarettes was all they need to control the masses.
yes indeed sir "open for business" best describes it.
Though even freedom of speech and journo's arent safe under Bin Fish Face's realm.
Shame the new generation of supporters are not as patriotic as some others, personally id like to see all their fans turn up to games with tea towels on their heads and chant at the away side, "Shut up or we'll chop you up"
Followed by "Don't eat the meat pie's at half time"
One things for sure, we won't certainly won't see any Barclays adverts around the pitch wall !
Hopefully once the waffle from the BoE has been digested we will start to dig in again.
All the other factors point to towards steady gains and I hope the next couple of moves are good ones .
The returns we are likely to get back out of BCS into 2022 are certainly not worth the stress and effort put in atm.
Personally I can not see it changing either, long has gone the day I could wake up and trade 3/4% moves as they were so predictable, now they have turned into a creeper share.
On a brighter note, it will be far more pleasing to see 207/8 flash up atm.

" We are nothing more than mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed 541t"
=======================================================================
MrWolf, yes we are well fertilized....I'm still recovering from the 'fact' that one can eat the dirt the mushrooms are coated in.
Having a reliable source of information is important...I like to believe that Wikipedia is fairly accurate (but am aware it can be manipulated). Likewise any news outlet can be manipulated - journalists are only human. The reliance of some journalists on their contacts in government can sometimes make them little more than mouthpieces.
Same with big business, we only get the authorised version of events...unless we know someone inside who has 'the truth'. Usually things aren't always black or white, sometimes things are grey. Nuance isn't always easy to understand & doesn't sell newspapers...so we lap up the easily digestible version of the truth in headline form. We are only human & life is busy after all.
It was intersting to see Amanda Staveley invest in Newcastle -along with some other people. I don't expect player motivation will be an issue from now on....fail to please the new owner and bits of them could be snipped off.
We are open for business in the UK - no questions asked - as long as you have enough money!!
Totally agree with you there,
Maybe I should have been more specific with dates I didn't wish to reiterate what is already out there.
Though merely directed to posting this "Considering no bad reflection has been cast on JPM which were his employers at the time"
Doubtingly JPM really cut ties with him, more like they had a meeting an agreed a different strategy .
The underlying fact is Jes needs to prove his relationship with Eps' was completely professional , which casts lots of doubt.
Though on the other side of the spectrum maybe every retired BBC Director and top civil servants should accept they allowed Jimmy Saville to get away with known offences , maybe they should have their pensions reclaimed, seeing that it was the public who funded it all.
Regards W'
Good Morning to you sir, trust this day finds you well.
Some occasions I would trust an article in the Sunday Sport far more than whats allowed on Wikip' lol
Would be interesting to guess how many times Wikip's been edited over the years referencing poor Stephen Lawrence.
Totally agree, we can only believe what we are told and allowed to know, where as I personally see Whitehall, Intel agencies and the more public facing gadgets (which seniority so rudely refer to as ) . . . the old saying comes to mind " We are nothing more than mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed 541t" lol
All I will say is that, its always best not to draw attention to oneself because I know from personal life experience , Whitehall can make anything go away and look good in the public eye, if and when they so wish.
On a much smaller scale of public embarrassment getting into bed with QATAR years back and turning a blind eye to their blood money, will never be forgotten.
Will be interesting to see how the Maggpies move on, only a century ago one of its board members would have been hung for treason.
Regarding share holders questions and views on Venkat, he is far capable of jumping into Jes's shoes and is seen by many as a reassurance not someone who will upset the apple cart.
Though as always, only time will tell.
Kindest Regards W'
I read that a colleague hypothesised that probably the only flaw with James (JES) is that he is too loyal to his friends. Apparently he is a super nice guy, whose word is his bond. But he may have been too protective of the manager who was targeted by the whistleblower - hence why he sought their identity and he probably should have distanced himself from Epstein after his conviction (to protect himself presumably). The fact that he characterised his relationship with Epstein to the BOD as purely business & that now looks questionable made his position untenable (I suppose). He was already on a yellow card after the whistleblower incident and they had to show him red.
A bit unusual that he expected to be gone before end 2021 (according to Wiki) but he is quite upset the way it happened (apparently). Perhaps he wanted his Christmas turkey and Fortnum & Mason hamper?!
"Back on topic . . . Last April BCS had discussed the what ifs and who's to do what. No one apart from Jes himself can be blamed apart from taking into account that he knowingly accepted benefits from a convicted nonce."
MrWolf, here's the thing, Staley's dealings with the peado Epstein were all before Dec 2015 when he took the role of Barclays CEO. Furthermore, Staley is working for JPMorgan from 2000 to 2013 while dealing with Epstein, In 2009 while still working at JPMorgan Staley visits Epstein in prison . In 2013 Staley moves jobs and JPMorgan cut ties with Epstein. Here is the problem I think - Staley and his wife visit Epstein at his island home in mid 2015!!!! In 2019 Staley tells Barclays board the details of his professional relationship with Epstein - if you can indeed call a visit with the wife to a then convicted criminals island home - professional. Not that its a crime to visit criminals at their home with your wife , but it certainly make one wonder why he was visiting at all, may leave one asking "was he really with the wife on the visit?".
"I would like to know peoples thoughts on our new CEO Venkat?"
==========================================================
I believe he comes from a similar background to Mr Staley. If Mr Staley's re-organisation of the company was just starting to bear fruit - which is showing signs of happening - then Mr Venkat can be light touch, keeping the ship headed in the same direction and claim all the credit - plus his pay & bonuses - based on the foundations done by James (JES)
MrWolf, no need to apologise. I am only quoting Wikipedia. If you have a different opinion & have real facts then perhaps you might like to amend the Wikipedia article. Personally I have an open mind...an open mind to the truth.
In my opinion the death of Mr De Menezes was primarily a failure of leadership. The firearms officers were - as you say - only following orders. To me opportunities were 'probably' missed to intercept Mr De Menezes much earlier in their surveillance in a non-lethal way - once he was allowed to enter the underground network the outcome was 'almost' inevitable (given the stress officers were under at the time). Cressida Dick I believe was the officer in charge of the operation.
The scary thing is that it could have been almost anyone....or anyone with dark hair & tanned skin. Mr De Menezes was totally innocent & completely faultless (the wrong place at the wrong time).
The fake news about being 'illegal' is irrelevant & doesn't in any way justify what happened to him (even if were true).
The lies that were told at the time - heavy puff jacket & that he had jumped the barrier on entering the tube - just goes to show how politicians/police/journalists spread lies to cover up mistakes. It's a wonder we believe anything we read or are told.
I guess this also applies to Jes Staley, do we believe him?...I guess the answer is No! Next question, do we actually care?...I do, others probably don't.
I would like to know peoples thoughts on our new CEO Venkat?
Will he drive the lack lustred SP to new highs?
Sorry Bald Eagle I need to correct you there.
That was a sad day , very sad day and cant say too much or I will end up in strife myself.
I knew some of the team involved that day, it was the women in charge, the intel officer senior officer who gave that order.
Mr Menezes was followed and not chased like media bull54it speculates down into Stockwell station.
The officers were in close contact professionally can not question the order, the S.O. ordered that he was to be immobilised without question ( which basically ended with the officers taking him down in the doorway of the train and having 2 separate small arms deployed (emptied) into the top of the spine.
We used to refer to it as a spinal tap, in layman terms , clip into the brains stem till they are deceased and unable to control any functional movement.
Very distressing for the by standers and something that no doubt will haunt them for the rest of their lives.
Sad day and every officer was gutted to their stomach, knowing later that intel was wrong.
Sorry to reply off topic these past comments, lets say "touch raw nerves"
Back on topic . . . Last April BCS had discussed the what ifs and who's to do what. No one apart from Jes himself can be blamed apart from taking into account that he knowingly accepted benefits from a convicted nonce.
John MacF backed and trusted Jes 's word 100% and im pretty sure John would have walked with him if not the fact he is now playing spin doctor for Westpac.
Barclays will manage without Staley and some might say move more smoothly with the (Dark cloud ) behind them now.
Personally I feel its a damn shame he has basically been forced out, though he's not left out of pocket !
Its the us share holders who carry the can as usual !
Im just hoping that the FCA back off Barclays case now and concentrate their efforts on targeting Andrew Bailey !
Bailey took the Gov's job without mentioning a conflict of interest regarding his previous position heading themselves .
Just ask the mangaers, staff and share holders who lost savings because of Baileys LIES !
Lastly, Bob D is lucky he was not put away for his (white collar) scams.
Jenkins thought he was in charge of a 24/7 super market and Barclays would have gone bust after more and more R.I's if he had stayed in the seat.
Which leaves Jes , brilliant at his job, damn shame he made such a mistake, prior to joining BCS, considering no bad reflection has been cast on JPM which were his employers at the time.
Personally I found Jes a really decent, considerate and thoughtful individual, who was always upbeat and friendly when we crossed paths.
Fingers crossed we get a boost from this weeks announcement this Thursday, considering the indis are on an all time high and the Russel just hit 2000.
GBP is turning hard and the currency markets always the first to react, so im guessing the BoE has leaked out info AGAIN !
Good luck all.
It seems that Mr De Menezes was not 'illegal':
"Several reasons were initially posited by media sources and family members for why Menezes may have run from police, as indicated by initial reports. A few weeks earlier, he had been attacked by a gang and may have perceived that he was in a similar situation upon seeing plainclothes officers chasing him. Several sources have speculated that irregularities about his immigration status may have given him reason to be wary of the police; evidence that emerged[colloquialism?] during the course of the criminal trial into the Health and Safety charge showed that Menezes was lawfully in the country on 22 July 2005." [wikipedia]
"....and of course he had a puff jacket on, which was silly of him."
I seem to have mis-remembered the police/political spin over the shooting....he wasn't wearing a puff jacket (apologies):
"...According to the report on leaked IPCC documents, Menezes was wearing a pair of jeans and a light denim jacket. This was confirmed by a photo of his body on the floor of the carriage after the shooting." [wikipedia]
So he was without fault...apart from being possibly 'illegal'.
"If my memory serves me correctly your so called tourist was an illegal immigrant with a fake passport, at the time he met the criteria for one of the terrorists they were hunting, if he had not run he would still be alive."
========================================================
If that is the case then I guess he was fair 'game'!!!....and of course he had a puff jacket on, which was silly of him.
saintly.
All mates together, they have a spiders web of friends and family members all looking after each other as politicians do.
bald-eagle.
If my memory serves me correctly your so called tourist was an illegal immigrant with a fake passport, at the time he met the criteria for one of the terrorists they were hunting, if he had not run he would still be alive.
"hunt means to pursue and kill"
================================
No it doesn't. A 'manhunt' is rarely intended to kill the person being sought unless you are being pursued by the American military...or in the UK you are a Brazilian tourist!!
Spindler, I realise whistleblowing is a tough one for any company. On the one hand there is genuine fraud or wrong doing being exposed and on the other hand there are very disruptive elements in an organisation with more nefarious objectives, e.g someone trying to falsely implicate an innocent person to get them fired. I have noticed strong words like "hunt down" being used in Staleys case, hunt means to pursue and kill. Did Staley really HUNT the whistleblower down and throw the kitchen sink in order to find the persons or was Staley trying to identity him/her being over zealous in his endeavour. The fact is its easy for the media to but a lot of spin on such events and the public don't hear the full facts because there is company info identities to protect.
