A bit movement upwards again, fingers crossed for more
nice uptick another 15p to go and back in the money
Very low volume so no concern here. Still expect 400p + in the near term.
This would have been a must retain/win for Bab****. I would have expected them to have protected margins while seeking the investment required in these facilities to drive greater productivity. This event will pep the order book up for the half year review. Dividends will follow when the balance sheet is healthier and cash projections look predictable. The leadership have a mid to long term play that has a good chance of success.
Great news, but I am of the opinion people have lost interest they are sick of success without reward. Noticeably not even the company can raise an RNS, rue the day I got involved.
Future Maritime Support Programme

Ah, but how is Greece going to pay for this contract? French and the rest of EU taxpayers money?
I would agree with this. On the road to recovery with a conservative board who people should expect to underplay the potential until they have compelling evidence of success. Believe it has a chance of £5 in May 2022. Based on solid result, stronger forecasts and communication on future dividends.
Plenty more bids out there at the moment not reliant on one.
Think this is a medium to long term hold, well it is for me. CEO has delivered on his promise of around £400 mill of disposals, he states there won't be a need for a rights issue. Outlook for the next year or so looking bright in my opinion and am happy to hold after the recent clearing of the decks in the company
Bad news, France wins Greek Navy contract.
So Bab****s Cavendish Nuclear will be a player in the imminent roll out of SMR's as part of the UKs 2050 green energy target. However, i can't find any decent articles online detailing exactly how much a part they will play and subsequently how big a piece of the pie Bab**** will get, if any. Rolls Royce have moved up big on this expected news as much as their other deals over the last month.
Still a lot of risk in bab**** imo. Their debt levels here, plus the obvious risk of dillution. 'Too big to fail' no. Too tied in to uk defence contracts, maybe. But they could always just split off parts, Cavendish included. How much of that is priced tho. It's tempting at these levels.
Has anyone got any commentary on todays AGM? Thanks!
Bab is now in my opinion a very attractive target for a bid from over the pond… the balance sheet is well on the way to better days, debt targeted and a very fast tracked hive off of costly diversifications that BAB had no experience in. Lockwood’s drive to consolidation with the perfect timing of UK governments investment into the UK manufacturing & defense sector cushioned with Biden’s administration signing a pact really points to big interest from US PE’s. This is a massive thumbs up for the flood gates to open on bids for our depicted sector and without too much pressure from the UK secrets act & regulation….. BAB, especially with Lockwood at the helm is now being setup for a sale…. Good luck to share holders I think your patience will be well rewarded ??
Bab**** sells first new frigate design licence to Indonesia

This also augurs very well for the future. https://www.shephardmedia.com/news/naval-warfare/dsei-2021-bab****-secures-first-arrowhead-140-expo/
The deal is the first win for the frigate design developed with the export market in mind.

UK, US and Australia launch landmark security pact

Interesting story developing tonight around a new defence deal signed by the US, UK and Australia.
Could be good new for BAB.
More to come.
Very nice... I make that over £400 mill in disposals easily in a short space of time. The CEO certainly delivers on his promises

Helicopter arm facing break-up at Bab**** in deal that could be worth £400m

I dont even think we will need to hold this for a year or two. I think a bid might be on the way. It has been quite volatile for some time now!
Tempting to sell and get back in on the drop but could be suckered into it so holding fire until it really flies... Long term hold... As in when dividends arrive in a year or two... Should be at a decent level by then
