Is this magic pill we have all been waiting for if so AstraZeneca should capetelize on it don t let all the fatties have it for nothing advertise this product on the telly spread the good word lets sell this it this could be 5he best thing sinse sliced bread.
How so given that AZN provided it's vaccine "at cost" (unlike Pfizer) and was attacked on here by many posters for not making a huge profit from it?
Both companies should be facing class actions for fraud and extortion (if not worse) during COVID.
Interesting to compare our fortunes with those of our erstwhile suitor Pfizer! Pfizer slipped 1.6% to $28.96 Monday closing at its lowest share price since March 26, 2020, continuing the pharmaceutical giant’s struggles tied to declining demand for its Covid-19 products and essentially wiping out the entirety of the firm’s peak pandemic gains. There were many on here who complained that AZN was "off the pace" in the vaccine race and failed to monetize their competitive advantage when they got their vaccine into the clinic. Instead by concentrating on future revenues in Oncology and growth in other therapeutic areas they have avoided the Covid19 hangover. Who was smartest now?
.....$h!t€ day on the equities market of this failing country....oops, I meant failed !
Related issues in some ways, given the strong statistical evidence that obesity is a significant risk factor for many kinds of cancers.
Good Q3 results ahead of expectations and an uplift to expected results.
AZ on form.
New China deal for a weight loss drug is a bargain….if it works. Oncology has received lots of attention, the world is now turning to obesity as its number one medical problem that needs solutions.
Always buy the tips with AZ. The chart looks ideal, picked up a few more this morning.
Oops, finger slipped there.
Yes, quality company and eventually you will be correct on recovery, hopefully sooner rather than later....as with the whole economy and equities..... and not trying to get too political
Hi grayling. Having just read some of your posts, 'chilling out' isn't your forte is it, LOL. Just having a bit of fun with you. Anyway, you're right about thiquality
I have held since these were £30 a pop and reinvested all of the dividends. Is that long term enough for you? Chill out, AZN is one of the best shares in this sector and PS has now committed to staying put for the next 5 years, this will recover more quickly than most
SH!]!!!!!TTTT. .!!!!!! It's gonna take a very long time for virtually everything in the market to recover. They say equities are long term....they ain't kidding. GLA
In regards to the £120 price targets that some analysts had set over last 12months, we will not hitting that anytime soon.
The S&P fell through that special support level 4200 last night.
Could well be a similar move to that in October 2008-Feb 2009
Mr swing, meet roundabout.
Mr roundabout, meet swing.
etc,
etc.
Up another £1 today. Up £4 in two days..
Was probably someone trying to give AZ a shake and give someone another chance to get aboard the gravy train! Haha.
Sounds interesting after listening to him on CNBC this week talking about alternatives to Chemotherapy!
Looking back as we're near yrs end. Up 260%+ to date from risky punt when not looking too good back with a yield over 6%, no success in R&D. What a dsmn turnaround since then! It's been, and that's what we do GO LONG on investments.

Shorters closing :-)
Up over £3 today to £104, as I hoped. Now heading back to £115 IMHO.
Very good news with cancer treatment. A strong buy at this evening’s closing price, IMHO.
All good news
Must be being shorted :-)
DaiIchi has signed a development deal worth initially $4bn and up to $22bn for 3 compounds…..must have outbid AZN for these.
