Cheeseburger-gate was seemingly a Bell curve ball - I wonder whether he has been more of a delaying hindrance than a help. Interesting Lancet article.
jdt1990, I think Patelaz was addressing moi, but thank you. ;0)
Now, just for a light twist on things..about the RNS results of the AVCT LFT we have a reply from the UK official to our demands..when do we get the results, dude?
UK test center: mañana señor!
Wilson
Patelaz - Yes the UK is in Europe geographically but there was this thing, Brexit? Avct refer to them very distinctly. Hence why investors do the same e.g
“ Avacta Group plc (AIM: AVCT), the developer of Affimer® biotherapeutics and reagents, announces that it has received the first data for its SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen test from ongoing clinical studies in Europe and the UK. ”
Anyone remember the John Bell red herring that he thought the South Korean test being evaluated looked promising and him telling us of another that you did whilst eating / or making your cornflakes?
Wasn’t cheeseburger gate one of his revelations ?
In his defence he was always very pro LFT testing
"But both Oxford and the government have refused to disclose Bell’s financial interests after The BMJ filed freedom of information (FOI) requests. More alarmingly, it appears that the government is referring media enquiries about Bell through the Cabinet Office and is scrutinising a reporter for The BMJ as it has other reporters it finds troublesome.1The BMJ has been unable to gain either direct contact with Bell or contact through his employer, Oxford University, despite multiple attempts".
My point here is, the Chinese test is sold via "Innova", which if I am not wrong, is an American Company selling Chinese tests to the UK. Yes, I do want to know John Bell's interests as we have had enough of Tories doing "favours" in the procurement business of this country. This stinks.
Why do people keep mentioning Europe as if it is exclusive of UK?
UK in in Europe.....Europe is a continent not a trading block
Do you guys wanna read something interesting?

Where is our BAMs? SNG, so promising? The fastest we sell in Europe and the World the better we will be! Let to Tories stick with the Chinese/American test.
Put simply,
Easier to use
Best sensitivity
Quickest
Likely cheapest
And likely cheapest
Scaleable
What’s not to like
I was thinking the same. Having gone through CV and soon to be CE marked, the whole PD process is looking somewhat shambolic.
I would not be surprised if ministers are soon shouting down the phone at senior PHE management over why a company can undertake CV and will soon be CE marked selling to the f*cling Europeans while our labs are still inspecting their own ar*eholes!!
I thought today that their could be a surprise RNS tomorrow...
So the RNS today was for Europe, do we anticipate a similar style RNS Thursday morning covering the UK progress of the antigen lft??
Agree with most of your post beinthelead but delayed commercialisation is from early april to potentially just early May, which is not so bad. And some of the other info - manufacturing, HMG contract etc. might be expected within weeks (possibly some this thursday even). You are right its frustrating - its been so excellent and a bit of a rough ride at the same time. But you are equally right that we can rest easier knowing that its coming together as we hoped/expected.
The posts by Doh and PL75 are spot on. Add marketing magic to the data and this will absolutely fly. I also think once more investors understand this (perhaps after the Thursday investor call puts some colour on it) we are due for the re-rate most of us anticipated today. We are rapidly entering a “status” market, in particular in the US. This article relevant to the vaccines but equally/more relevant for consumer COVID tests

PL/JRDC - agree on both accounts.
The test has the required use case and blows the market to bits. There’s an education to be done at a PR level, and even amongst the investor community, to clarify just how good the test is.
I would be pretty confident, based on studies and anecdotal evidence, that the other leading tests used in our setting, wouldn’t get close to 50% sens. That’s how good our numbers are. Tremendous.
It’s unfortunate today with how things finished, but the reality is:
No new information. Confirmation and competition realisation is good.
No manufacturing confirmation (at scale anyway)
No orders
Delayed commercialisation from March to May. And this is the biggie. The market will no doubt assume June May even be reached. It’s that sketchy.
But investors should rejoice today as the best test in town is now officially real. Even better for me, time will not allow a competitor to emerge as they don’t have affimers. Mabs and Aptamers have failed to get anywhere close.
Time brings frustration - today was the time for me to switch off and look forward until June when we could could be staring at the projected annual revenues of £1bn+ On LFT alone. Then AVA starts...
Well we certainly deserve a decent price margin for our test over the other one being flogged everywhere. Whilst we’ll never be able to replicate their scale that’s not important when everyone just wants accuracy and is willing to pay that little bit extra for it, especially within the more advanced Nations. At last this will put AVCT’s name on the global stage.
Agree 100% PL75 absolute dynamite, simply the best in the world - better than all the rest.
The race for the best LFT and only viable solution to preventing further lockdowns has been won by Avacta
DYOR
It’s insanely good. 100% sensitivity for infectious loads. Much easier to use so it can provide full confidence that you’re not infectious if you test negative. Why wouldn’t every possible place where humans gather want our test to be used?
Not quite apples, as these are NP, CT <30

Shows how damn good our test is though. Surescreen is only 70% sensitivity, would probably be far lower if it just tickled the nostrils. I don't think the market has realised how bad the other leading tests are, and why ours is the only one in the world that is accurate, cost effective, scalable, suitable for general public to do (read: idiot proof), fine for parents to use on young children and can be easily adapted for future strains.
You can be sure this news would have landed on the desk of every LFT producing pharma's CEO by the morning, and they'll be googling avacta if they haven't already. Als inbox could be quite full by 8.00am tomorrow.
Yeah I bought Bottomface's at 262
Nice post PL75, those figures are fantastic, and not at all concerning.
Thought you'd be busy on your tax return. Yes, the market doesn't seem to care that they've just confirmed they've got the best test on the planet. Never mind, the good news is that there's still plenty time to buy in. If only I'd look at my charts I'd have been able to perfectly predict the price at any point in time. Lessons learnt... not that I care about the price today.
PL75 You have spent the last couple of months claiming that all will be well once CV is done. That anyone out at that time will be left out of the massive gains the day of the RNS.
Now do you think you were right or wrong about that?
Says the man baby that spends all day bleating about his 'concerns'...
Weirdo!
Filter me, weirdo!
By contrast, IDH up 31% on no news and an inferior product!
