Irrespective of its urgency you do question if all UK Gov agencies are working any where near 24/7 here. Perhaps a few drafted in from HMRC May help as them lot don’t hang around , especially when issuing tax demands !
Look Sir Al no shame in getting outside help just spend some of the placing money on some guys from the NCYT team you know it makes sense!
tsbs1,
You are funny. You've been on this board less then 6 months and yet you're an expert on patience.
Good luck
I don't understand why so many are negative, if you researched what's changed? Nothing except things are taking a little longer but my guess is it's a complicated procedure
I'm only a joiner, depending on size I'll fit a kitchen in about 2 days sometimes there's unforeseen problems and it takes longer, that doesn't stop people employing me as I do a good job
Playing on what exactly? Why do you automatically assume someone with a differing opinion to you is a shorting de ramper?! Why are you so defensive? It’s comical!
You disagree, great, that’s fine! No need for the unnecessary accusations.
I’m balls deep here and believe in the share medium to long term. Just have some concerns ST and with regard to expected timelines. I get a lot of that is out of the BOD’s control. Won’t be selling but am entitled to voice my concerns - it doesn’t mean I’m the devil mate, just calm down a bit?
So what is going to happen?
£3, £4, £5, £10, £14, £20 and then possible buy out! This is going to be an incredible year!
Panic, people should be delighted!
Now let's hear the presentation at 10:30.
See you later.
Cheers, Rich
What a surprise - no surprises. It's a summary of information we've already received. What else was it going to be? That doesn't change anything. It doesn't introduce delays until next year and in the same way it doesn't mean everything will be available next week. They're taking their time to get it right. Sorry to the fast buck brigade. They've said they're getting the process right so it's easier to pass to new global partners. They believe that the boat won't be missed - it certainly looks that way if you consider the mess the UK is as an example.
Worth repeating this:
"It has been a period of significant advancement despite the restrictions placed upon all of us by the coronavirus pandemic and I am immensely proud of the Avacta team for having delivered substantial progress under these difficult conditions.
We have several momentous milestones ahead of us with the anticipated launch of a rapid, saliva based coronavirus antigen lateral flow test and the planned phase I study for AVA6000 pro-doxorubicin, the first pre|CISION pro-drug.
There are multiple other opportunities in the pipeline that have been created by the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein binding Affimers, such as the BAMSTM assay with Adeptrix and several others that we will update the market on in due course. We are working tirelessly to bring all of these opportunities to the point of revenue generation as quickly as we possibly can.
The recent placing has also allowed us to resource an expanded Affimer immunotherapy and pre|CISION chemotherapy pipeline and substantially increase the size of the research and clinical development teams at our Cambridge site to deliver on this. I am very pleased indeed that we now have the resources available to begin to unlock the potential of these two innovative and powerful therapeutic platforms.
It will be a very exciting and genuinely transformational year ahead for Avacta, as we work with our partners to progress through each of the necessary stages to deliver on all of these opportunities and I look forward to keeping the market updated as we hit the major milestones."
So what is the main take from this:
It will be a very exciting and genuinely transformational year!
Great!
what rubbish
traders make the money while lth get hammered with placings etc and if they are lucky may come out with something in the end
The stock market is a very efficient way of transferring wealth from the impatient ie traders looking for the next rainbow stock to the patient ie investors who read this update with an understanding of the amazing progress made to date and the fantastic mid term prospects to come
Look it does not say 2021 we could still have test this year but like I said the other day meaningful revenues maybe early 2021.
Understood, FYI everyone - if you have any concerns over an investment then just sell all your shares rather than asking legitimate questions of the board and on DISCUSSION boards such as this one.
What a totally pointless cesspit this forum has become!
The rns points to the results of the Elisa test having dramatically reduced technical risk with the lft. The key to unlocking the rest is BBI completing pilot batch production.
Avacta will do the self test user study in parallel with other work so it should speed things up. It looks like november or december to get everything complete and into mass production. Ties in well with the government using phrases like not quite there yet and hoping for things to be out for christmas. Also explains why the government are scratching around buying anything that is half able to help improve things in the onterim. We just all need patience.
Unfortunately in the meantime we are likely to struggle to contain r and will probably need circuit breaker short lockdowns at least in some parts of the country.
As clear as mud I'm afraid. Does anyone know what stage we really are at?
If your not happy with the BOD and the progress being made sell your shares (if you currently hold any)and hook off,It's really that simple fella.........
Exactly, Spartacus.
As far as I am aware, even tomorrow is part of the year ahead.
Cave Exigo
Where does it say nothing before 2021 shearclass ?
Sage, I said as much last week and received the same abuse from the usual suspects. You are not permitted to query anything on this board.
Tbh, I'm fed up with so called 'clues'. Why at this stage do we accept clues?
The interims was written weeks ago or is that wishful thinking on my part.
Confirms Al over egging everything for the placing. Boohoo’s still laughing at the free opportunity given to them to make so much money.
‘Ready’ meaning ready for what exactly?
Prototype was ready for transferring to mass production during mid-summer
@Cfds, it was initially billed as being ready by mid summer, so to have nothing before 2021 is not a ‘touch longer than anticipated’... As far as I’m concerned there was never a chance of mid summer, but it sure helped get the £48m placing away!
No he's a trader,He'll be off the naughty step once he' bought back his shares......
Agreed, if you were in here on the COViD stock boom chasing a 5000% gain in a month this isn’t a great RNS for you or if you were spiked at £2.40 and want out.
However, it’s quite clear from the lack of genuine completion that this process will take longer than expected for anyone. A vaccine is miles away (if anyone would even take it) so no issues for LTH with this RNS. Suspect AS may come under fire a bit today but it’s a very different RNS for 2 sides of the fence
Don’t worry, I’m off. No agenda whatsoever, read my posting history all the way back. Don’t come on here to take abuse just because I have some concerns in the short term. Don’t understand why people can’t be reasonable and respond with counter arguments rather than abuse....
This board used to be a home for informed debate, discussing pros and cons of the stock, is now a home for confirmation bias where the loudest voices shout down anyone they perceive to be spouting a negative opinion.
Will join (some much better and more informed posters than me) the others on the sidelines.

So samples will be plentiful in Q4 so that will help speed up everything for sure. I’ve read rumours of a 4 week lockdown over Xmas - a launch in January would be massive. Even with cases reducing in the future there will still be a required for frequent testing to stop virus flare ups...for many years I expect. Don’t forget other opportunities for other viruses as well!
