Pl75... what's the point of my posts ?? What's the point of yours ??
What a ridiculous comment Wiggly
I know, you’ve already posted 4 years of hindsight. I also said I hope he points the right way. What’s the “ point “ of your “ posts “?
Pl75... There's been a lot of shots on goal in the last 4 years " according to Alan " . But thus far , the goalie still appears not to have been " Tested " .
I hope you are right on all counts.
This time, PL75, the goal has been brought to Alan. The ball has been placed on a tuft of grass, and all he needs to do is swing a big left foot with enough precision to make contact with the ball. Then we score. What could possibly go wrong?
4 years of hindsight in a single post. Value adding stuff nicepair.
Gje, lots of shots on goal according to Alan. Hopefully at some point he’ll face the right way before swinging his triangle shaped stumps..
Windy on FDA approval in your opinion on the assumption of what oncology drugs are usually valued at not to mention FDA validation of the platform, do we surpass our all time high of 285p? If the answer is yes which let’s be honest it’s hard to argue against that, no matter what you bought in for you will still be making a profit… some people will be making more profits than others however worst case even if you bought at our ATH you would still be making a profit on FDA approval of AVA6000. Hence why I said if you believe in FDA approval you will make money.
It helps to set the context to understand the perseverance required to succeed in this industry. Avacta have many talented people no doubt, but they are not immune to the statistical reality. That they have failed to see through a number of ventures to date is not unusual.
Precision hopefully is different and will represent the breakthrough venture that Avacta desperately needs. Not sure where they would go from a failed precision trial tbh.
Many drugs are flogged through trials on the promise of very marginal improvements over current treatments and yet we are seeing the precision trial is already yielding some pretty top end results. Now it is funded, I'm more confident that finally they can see this through through to commercialisation.
"All that matters is how much Avacta is worth on FDA approval of AVA6000. Everything else in the meantime is irrelevant, if you believe FDA approval will happen. "
It really isn't. The price you paid for the stock is what matters and then most importantly what you end up selling it for.
Otherwise all you are doing is taking an interest in the science which is all well and good but if the aim is to make money then its potentially a related but not necessarily, key component.
Yes, its been quite the education Nicepair, still my experience (fwiw) has also taught me it is always about timing.
(I was interested in the way the fall stopped today so I have added some at a very precise 44.77p )
All that matters is how much Avacta is worth on FDA approval of AVA6000. Everything else in the meantime is irrelevant, if you believe FDA approval will happen. Main macro points are we are funded and the data is exceptional. All you need to do now is wait for the trials to conclude, which they will in due course and wait for the FDA’s decision. Talking about the past or management etc will have no impact on the trial results and whether the FDA will give the green light.
The success rate for life science companies is apparently lower than 10%, so statistically speaking it's a really tough market to make it in. Not only does the science need to stack up, on top of that there is the added hurdle of the brown paper bag protocol, which if required, and management not familiar with, results in lft type failures.
Based on those statistics it could take a long time for a biotech to make it. Our CEO has stated he's confident of a greater than 50% success rate for precision... I guess you have to look at the trial progress to date and make up your mind whether you believe what is put in front you. Hopefully the board will ensure that the task of navigating the second part, of navigating the commercials, is in the hands of the right people with the necessary experience.
All well and good, but pre|CISION does seem to work...
Wyndrum... You are pretty much spot on with your analysis of Aim companies in general. In early April 2020 , WE WERE TOLD THAT ..." Avacta had just signed a deal with Cytiva to produce the Lfd , and the sp went into orbit .All the way from 22p to around £2.15 . A colossal rise in around 12 weeks .And the talk here was mainly people telling us that we had " The Sovereign Test " , lol .Shortly after the meteoric rise there was a large placing .The ones in the know knew all about it , but the pi didn't. Then there was Bams, and other things too . The covid test was ramped to high heaven and came to sweet Fa . When you look back at the last 4 years it's been a plethora of empty promises here .A ceo that sold at around £1.70 to buy himself a nice pad and now the sp isn't far away from where it was 4 years ago , when everyone was on the edge of their seats waiting for KLAUS to tell us how wonderful Avacta and Cytiva's test was .The biggest anti climax since pacqiaou and Mayweather .For the last 4 years we have heard all manner of ramping , all manner of promotional BS .And all manner of people swallowing the promises made .I don't doubt that Avacta are an up and coming company that are doing their best to make significant breakthroughs .But the amount of groundless , hapless ramping and false promises at Avacta , and on this bulletin board have amounted to pretty much " Diddly Squat " .And anyone in denial of the above is free to check back for the last 4 years and see it all for themselves . The song " I promised You A Miracle " is perhaps rather apt ?
Bdoggg
Confident based on what? Reading tea leaves?
Hopefully this wont move to sub 40p.. it will recover eventually I'm confident.
I think we all know the science side of things will be good in the presentation.
Too soon for any real new info?
What will be more important in the short term is the time lines. The 2 week trial was designed, amongst other things, to allow the start of Phase 2 to begin in 2024.
If that's already slipping it might not go down so well.
Is the “defectorstandard” when the CFO leaves the company?
Pre|CISION guided therapy hit FAP enveloped tumours in more than 40 trial patients .... a 100% success rate. This is worth a lot of money.
It's about waiting for real data that shows AVA6000 will be the new defectorstandard of care for Sarcoma patients and buying in once it's bottomed out, wherever that might be.
If there's a problem or several more rounds of Heights repayments along the way then so be it.
It's not that complicated?
Thats fair enough LDA, I don't have that much experience on Aim, but certainly my experience has been 99% of rosy tinted utterings which have all been remarkable in their distance away from what has come to pass.
There is only one CEO so far that has delivered on what they said and they are new to the role (the previous one left for not delivering on what he forecast), the rest have been imo somewhere between disingenuous and misleading.
Bigger the risk, bigger the reward, but again, I think that saying only reveals the high risk attached to most Aim companies.
I must say though, Wyndrum. Having been invested in a number of AIM shares over the years. Some have done well, some not so.
I've never heard such comments as AS. Don't worry about funding, chuckle. Beginning of value curve etc etc. Currently Avacta are at another level. Hopefully the Science is good enough and Chris Coughlin can guide this company somewhere positive commercially.
Track record suggest that any surprises , wont be good ones.
I'm afraid this is the risk of investing and managing your own portfolio.
Aim is a market designed for small companies that will be able to raise money to develop their business.
That very mission-type statement means that every CEO will always paint the very best picture of their company and whatever it is involved in, so as to continually convince people to continue funding it.
I have no idea, truly, no idea, why after the things that were said about LFT and what came to pass, why anyone here is surprised or shocked by anything that the BoD say.
These companies are not run for our benefit. We are parasites trying to get rich off their hard work and innovation.
Other than the small amount of opportunity we are randomly given to take part in any cash raises we offer nothing to the company... at all... so why would they care about PI's?
II's are given time to flip the shares if they want so as to make a profit if it presents itself.
For people who bought at 50p are now already sitting on a 15% loss.
Its a high risk game and if you have not worked it out yet, its all a bit of a gamble.
I would not expect any contrition from AS on the update. Quite the reverse I think.....
Still, who knows....he might surprise us all.
