If you are looking for a prophalactic maybe an affiDX Nasal spray? Some clinicians exposed to covid patients are already using sprays and gargles to head it off early. Maybe affiDX Mist for ventilation systems in planes and workplaces. Affi de toilette por homme...
Collaboration RNS soon re affimer infused pg tips?
Certainly did, along with affimer manufacturing capacity for the holy grail
Doh to be fair i believe £10million of the placement was to accelerate progress of the lft.
Matt Han**** bumbling and stumbling through a Sophie Ridge interview , total incompetence. He did say he is waiting for the cavalry to come on mass testing, that’s us.

You sound so desperate and entitled. Investing in Avacta has bought you a ticket to sit on the Avacta bus.
That entitles you only to the journey and NOT the destination.
Be careful sparky I was rude to the idiot and he filtered me
One more comment I thought the placing was supposed to accelerate everything it seems to have decelerated everything instead.
Apparently B&Q will have test out next week. Getting beyond a joke now they need to get moving as just as I predicted every man and his dog will have a saliva test out soon. I think even the ardent Al fan will be fretting if there’s no news on BAM test in the next few weeks.
True, phantom. But with current regulations it's also true that currently Avacta spit test results will need to be interpreted by a clinical practice professional too. Not a single covid test, antibody or antigen, has been authorised for self use so at some point early next year the regulations will have to change in time for Boris Spring aim. This will be the biggest hurdle Avacta and any spit stick testing company faces, and probably why clinical validation and trials are taking so long, they need to make sure the test can be interpreted correctly by the general public. After all, nearly 50% of people are stupider than average.
The UK govt wasn't interested in their antibody test, despite being one of the first to market, majority of their sales are from abroad.
Got 50 of surescreens antibody tests arriving in the next week or so, will be interesting to see the quality of them, will enquire about the antigen too, how it works, are they aiming for self administration etc. The fact there's a 2nd more accurate (and no doubt more expensive) test would leave me to conclude it's some way behind the accuracy of affimers.
If it's a swab test it will have to be administered by trained personnel
How many tests do we need across the world? Answer is billions.
There will be plenty of companies trying to enter this market it's no secret. We know Avacta are advanced with various different tests , we will have our slice of the market of that I have no doubt
@craiga24, interesting find …
The test strip shown on DerbyshireLive news link is badged ‘COVID-19 Antigen’ and their director, David Campbell, is quoted as saying - “We are launching two fast and very easy to use, swab antigen tests. The first one is a visual read test (much like a pregnancy test,) which can be used and read without any laboratory equipment, making it perfect for screening in the community. The second test uses a handheld reader, which allows us to increase the sensitivity of the test even further”.
“We are launching trials of the devices with key partners this month and will have the tests available by November. The first one is a visual read test (much like a pregnancy test,) which can be used and read without any laboratory equipment, making it perfect for screening in the community. “The second test uses a handheld reader, which allows us to increase the sensitivity of the test even further”.
So who are the ‘key partners’? Are they part of Condor? How will they distribute?
Up to now they have IgM and IgC antibody tests with (claimed) Sensitivity of 96.55% and Specificity of 99.67% based on an evaluation by Guy’s and St. Thomas NHS.

I cannot see Antigen tests on their website. But, apparently, 1m per week by November?
While this volume should not trouble Avacta too much, nevertheless, definitely one for further research and watching closely.
