MNS - I humbly admit I was wrong on my call. BTC did not gain new all time highs (74+) before halving since we had our gentleman's bet. The second part of the bet - CLSK is over $16, and feels likely it will stay over 16 by close Monday, gives me something to hang on to, but fundamentally I haven't called this right so admit that I was wrong on this. I do hope we start moving again soon though, and hopefully your trade plan comes together - best of luck!
Mara finally mined a block - 19.6 BTC. They may have played a blinder with this Slipstream or whatever it is - need to re-read it to understand it. But will need a few more blocks to verify. Read in conjunction with red rag's link regarding the bidding war issue.

Agreed. In expecting a bit of pop in price in the listed miners next week. The public markets didn’t really know what to expect at halving, but this is going to be the median fee level for a while yet, that’s good for all of them.
Lol and then Runes came swinging through the door x;)
This should flip the mining sentiment.
Mine bigger than yours Spitfire 44 haha
Good article - fascinating. A month or two if this would be incredible. Would really help debt ridden miners and boost the sector. If combined with BTC price going up and markets turning risk on we could have a perfect storm and exit opportunity.
Jimmy Song just published an article in X which is a good explainer on Runes.
Sounds like this will be a temporary bubble: https://x.com/jimmysong/status/1781518918001078441?s=46&t=b5w5XhS1rL5_nwa_nVQ15g
Runes ds, started at halving. Must be a backlog to work through.
Block reward + fees went from about $500k before halving to about $1.5 M !
Any idea why the BTC fees have exploded ?
Transactions have doubled and the Median fee has exploded from circa $8 a transaction to around $160 !!
Is this the Runes and degens taking over the blocks ?
Memepool showing 211,000 stuck waiting forever (a while ago they conveniently moved the loading view to the right so it isn't obvious how congested BTC is)

KNOB !!!!
Mara finally get a small bit of luck with a unicorn 9 btc block. Safe to say nothing close to that will ever happen again.
Well halving on Sunday if you havn't sold your 1 share in Argo Spitfire44 you will lose your money PAL haha
I've been following Didi for a few months and enjoy his content especially his life lessons at the end of his videos.
I thought I'd share todays because he talks about BCH ;-)
https://youtu.be/Tbkv5_nEEzE?si=7ocJ7T2JtIiXXO2Y
He also shares a Bitcoin Life Regression Chart and an interesting chart showing historical BTC miner holding and how they have played the halvings.
On a related point, see this from Foundry: https://twitter.com/MartyBent/status/1780677459161313620
Can't help but wonder if this layer 2 stuff might be a bit of a distraction for Mara at the moment when they still appear to have outages, albeit maybe improving over last day or so. Might have been unlucky timing but it was quite telling their
Anduro launch was met by market indifference.
I'm a purist but can see that if these sidechains can eat away at some of Ethereum's USP, ultimately that has to be a good thing for btc. And if fees are boosted as a consequence all miners win. But all a bit intangible right now
I have argo mara cleanspark did have wulf and migi
You chalked up any Runes nodes yet? What do you reckon with it ? its getting ramped everywhere.
Presumably Mara are inscribing for the Runes Launch as per previous large inscription:

Today’s episode is about exploring the frontier of tokens on Bitcoin with guest Casey Rodarmor. Casey is the creator of the Ordinals Protocol, a harmless protocol that simply allowed for arbitrary data to be inscribed into individual Bitcoin UTXOs, creating what are called Bitcoin NFTs. He is now also the creators of Runes, a second protocol, working to bring fungible tokens to Bitcoin.

The laser eyed BTC Maxis might not be pleased with the threat of degens with millions to spend taking over BTC blocks
Mara has been minting some unusual blocks recently...
If this trend continues with other miners getting in on the high fee transactions it might have a detrimental effect BTC given already low transaction space on BTC.

Mara did a similar transaction a few days ago...
Yes most of the regular posters on here are invested in other miners. Clsk is one of the better miners for sure.
I just want to ask if most people here are invested in other Miners or only Argo? I've just watched a YouTube video from "invest answers" called "Bitcoin Miners: Who Lives - Who Dies? Who's Best!" where he has a lot of data on Miners. At a bitcoin price of 63k only 3 miners are actually making profit for each coin they mine. It looks like Clsk is the best miner on a lot of metrics. They are holding most of their coins, and are aggressively increasing their hash rate. It was just released tonight and the research is very impressive, recommend you watch it if you have not. But yeah interested to know if anyone has also allocated some funds to other miners and if any others miners are at good price now vs future potential.
Why are we all here ?
Can we all go back to the basics which is something BTC lost a long time ago. With 5 tps on L1and high fees BTC cannot be P2P money for the world
Bitcoin Cash: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System
Same Genesis block as BTC, same 21M total supply, same halvings and the same miners
BCH is fast and almost free P2P transactions on L1 just as Satoshi created
I will be listening intently to what Thomas has to say on Thursday - surely Argo's strategy can't be cross all fingers and toes that BTC rallies enough to offset reward adjustment? (I think it is)
It will be very early Saturday morning our time (late Friday US) - there is no need to guess unless you are going for the exact minute.
