Somehow NT always seems ahead of events. Funny that.
Tempted to top up but this could be a dead cat bounce as people leap on the back of the RNS.
I think this is a good stock despite the fall.
Omir - For what it's worth, NT updated yesterday to say that he'd sold top-ups from 70+ (not full stack) and was looking to buy those back once there were signs of recovery.
Perhaps MVM are selling down their entire holding?
Should get an RNS when\ if they drop below 3%
Looks like NT doesn't update his site anymore? Would have been interested to see what he thought about this drop
Still a million more sells than buys if the stats are to be believed. Yet we're up 1/2 a pee. The old logic of sp falls when people are selling and vice versa seems to have gone out of the window these days.
Hmm time will tell, but it seemed to stabalise so I got in at 69
Still plenty of selling at 69p so some way to go I'd guess.
Very extreme sp reaction. It's like APH has suddenly become an oil co that's had a rig blow up!
A +30% drop for no apparent reason smacks of some sort of 'revenge'.
The market really has it in for this stock. My amateurish reading of APH was that it was a good prospect and wasn't expecting this.
I have £2k ready to invest here but waiting for the bottom... which of course is always impossible to call exactly
a retrace to 65p(38%) or to 52p(50%)?
in this volatile market we can expect the worst :(
Hi Irene, not sure who your post is directed at, but I don’t think many people are thanking the NT on this blog unless they are fools. Might I suggest you stop adding to his hype. But hey, you’ve been at one of his seminars or maybe and this is the crazy bit, maybe you are the Nutty Trader? I avoided APH because the NT was hyping it! Take care gal.
The size of drop seems crazy, results were good dividend is up. Results just weren't spectacular
The questions still are how low will the SP drop to? and it is still worth investing in at all?
Sorry about the previous typos.
I could not resist making this post. You can see from my last number of posts that I did predict this. The trouble with the Naked Trader and the like is that they cannot know everything about every sector and sitting there at their computers is not akin to the real world. The price at APH rose on speculation and this company is IMO still over valued. Mandrill and Smokey Rose comments will cost investors here, sad 🤔. The question still is how low does not let the SP drop to before investing on road should we invest in this at all?
To be frank, I find the H1 Results disappointing. Unexciting organic growth and a nasty hit from a collapsed China-deal.
I fear the share price will come down somewhat.
Mandrill - remember that the NT has bought more than once and some of his earlier buys were a lot lower so he's done well so far (provided of course he realises his profit); but I'm holding for a while longer as it could go 100p+. GLA.
Following in from my post in on the 28th last month, I think the investors in the know are selling before the results are announced. I did think the price would drop and it has, the question is by how much and when and at what price should the savy investor get on board? Any ideas?
There seems to be good buying but nothing moving the sp for a while.
Maybe it needs another NT blog!
APH is good value based on the fundamentals e.g. cash in bank rather than debt and maybe has been held back simply by the summer doldrums. I intend to buy any dips but somehow I don't think there'll be any. It's a LTH anyway.
Hi all. I was thinking of selling my small amount of shares today (250), partly because of the sp drop recently, but on reflection I will keep them for now and if the sp does drop when results are out next month I will see how that goes. I suppose you could see it as a buying opportunity to add at a lower price etc if the sp does drop. The latest broker forecast on HL from Numis in July gives an assessment of “add” and a target price of “115.00p”, but I wonder how long it would take to get to 115.00p!!
Hi Mandrill, How did you come about your name? In relation to APH, I see potential here alright but think when results come out in September the price might drop as a lot of the recent rise is on speculation. Results will take time though and maybe the time to invest will be on this drop IMO. So keep drilling man....
According to his blog nakedtrader bought at 94.9 and has a target of 120p. Needs something to drive the price out of its sideways range though I'd say.
Anyone think that the share price will head upwards over 100p anytime soon?
Hmm quick recovery hasn't happened but I can't see any reason it won't rise back to 100p soon enough
