Anic net a whole £12.60 in the latest farce. Hope Jim will follow suit and exercise all his warrants with the millions he has stripped out in management fees. Presumably they expire this June unless they can extend them again.
Me too
It certainly keeps GIVING me stress for sure!!!! :O
The share that keeps on giving…
I have a similar average and I am also topping up now at these prices.
Are we going to see in the 7s??
Might have to top up myself..
Well, my first buy since November 22. Losing tons of money with my 19.19 average, but confident on what is to come.
These are the same US states that can eat their own weight in meat in one sitting. They are the ones responsible for the decimation of the rain forests. Regrettably they do not have a clue what is going on in the world.
Mostly these are the same US states who want to limit or ban abortion. The next generation will be far more progressive.
Of course there will be resistance to lab meat. That was a given from the outset. This is a ‘disruptive’ business. Asia however will be very different . They have already invested heavily in lab meat. They do not have the luxury of choice because many Asian countries have to import 95 percent of their food. When it comes to the crunch it won’t be so much about freedom of choice but supply, demand and necessity. Still a long way to go and the big Texas ranches are all powerful., but Americas have a lot of poor people to feed. Uk is pretty lucky with wide choices Of farm shops and many alternatives . Wouldn’t touch any supermarket meat with a barge pole. Ed meats and processed meats are a recognised killer and very inefficient of producing protein
Luckily we aren't all about lab meat. But If the powers that be want lab meat it will happen, and most do. We have much besides if you look at portfolio.
The US remains the key to the world's lab-meat future. The US will make or break the industry. The whole world dances to the US tune. Right now, roughly 10-15% of US states want to ban lab meat, while 30-35% want to restrict it in some way. That means nearly half the US states are hostile or semi-hostile to lab meat. The Republican Party is not a fan of lab meat, and a Trump election win would likely create yet more headwinds in 2025. For now, the US looks bearish to lab meat, and, thus, by extension, the whole world.
This FT reports touches on how the US is seeing growing resistance to lab meat.

I bought a bit over 46,000 @ 8.56.
I'm sure some of them will be buys...anything around the 8.60 mark will be a buy.
Anyone know why there hasn't been any buys today?
Meatly is dog food which is the point I was making. That should be the first commercial product off the shelves. Sure for human stand alone food products bring in the food critics, but meatly and liberation labs won't be in that space for a while.
Just to be clear Peterrr - are you saying you don’t see the point in food critics being able to sample the ‘human’ menu offerings? If they want humans on board then they must allow them to sample the food and have taster offerings as part of the process. Same as you would have had for other product that is now considered mainstream.
Dogs will eat pretty much anything ‘meaty’ or otherwise - they really don’t care. It’s the owners you need onside
I don't any of the dogs attending meatly's launch are going to be turned down so we should be OK at least for that one. Same with the other food additive development such eggs to be used in mass production. Unless the food critics want to chow down on dog food.

I’ve been struggling to understand exactly what liberation labs is doing. This article was helpful:

Costs would have been known pretty close but maybe they were angling for a bigger grant or commercial loan. Anyway I'd take this over a buyback for use of funds, but kitty must be looking a bit slim now.
‘Liberation is set to be the first company in Anic’s portfolio to become cash generative’. I’m sure Jim says that about every company in the portfolio! Going to be a very long road that’s for sure
....or there is also the possibility that costs are overrunning on the current build project and they desperately need more cash to pay the contractors and keep the job moving.
This latest investment is surely a massive show of confidence
Thanks for that
Yes after SND and the Redx I was just thinking 'damn this whole private thing'. it's a whole new area of risk to consider. and very hard if - like me - you are not super literate about how these situations evolve. I guess because JM does not inspire too much trust and because of the (failed?) share buyback project - I just thought they must be a bit frustrated. and they won't like it if the sp is lower than NAV - then we get a great deal - I just don't think this system is designed for small investors to get a great deal. but...hey...please keep sharing information. it helps.
