And still the SP continues to drop. Down 13%. Only tesla is more of a dog at the moment. Maybe you should all shut the fek up and come back in 12 months. 60+ post of absolute bo****cks and mind numbing guff. Hes said that......she's said that. God give me strength.
Of course you’re right C2468 - I mean what does Stroll know!! He’s only a billionaire!!! C2468 or Stroll........ I know who I’m backing to come out on top!!!!!
C264eurgh...
Your posts today was alarming to me ....
Are you encouraging people to sell? Why?
Peoples who invest the shares, they have research and decided it was good to buy (ANY SHARES) and not rely on YOUR VIEW.
My reason to invest is FORWARD PRICE to EARNINGS (Forward P/E)
79 mill write off, EV write off .... BECAUSE IT CHEAPER TO DO THAT WAY.
Do your research.....
By the way - you can keep yourself your opinion because all you find information from your boss.
And who care if Wolff still got shares... go check yourself who is Zelon trust are!!!!!
Damn I just share my deep research.... it free.
Positive hat:
Bankruptcy has been staved off for now, they have bought themselves time, and the share price had risen to reflect that. Buyers at the old 30p had a 50/50 chance of losing everything.
Of course the SP prices in future developments, but not pipe dreams. Most people investing will want to see if they deliver on the rhetoric. That's a while off and imho, why the share price is static now. It's fairly valued.
Stroll can rebadge Chinese clothes/handbags to luxury-lusting idiots, but he needs to do a lot more work than spout nonsense in the FT, for the SP to rise. The whole market is well up today and AML flat.
SPs rely on facts, not promises (the SP only overshoots in the short term, it ALWAYS reverts to true value)
My advice is to read all the comments on every FT AML article and that Karenable site, they know WAY more than us.
Listen to people who know more than you and learn from them. By the time things go Pete Tong in a market, you'll have lost a lot of cash.
I say this from experience/learning the hard way. It's so difficult to separate emotion from investing, especially something like AML.
Just because I want AML to succeed doesn't mean they will. Confirmation bias is a be-atch.
I did say you wouldn't be happy with thoughts
C26... If you were to put your positive hat on... What are the reasons to be positive?
Jack, Merc have invested NOTHING!
AML GIFTED 20% of the company to Merc because they couldn't afford to do anything else. Irony is they still have to pay for every bit of Merc's tech, give away 20% of the company and what do they get in return?
£70 million of impairment charges were a write-down on AML's hybrid powertrain development. Plus £40 million write down on EV development.
How do you know Toto still holds his shares?
How many did Vettel buy, any proof?
Jack. The mercedes deal is massive for us and the recent sales increase in China really promising. Stroll has said China sales are weighted to DBX and with a hybrid coming in Q3, I think that will boost sales over there even further!
C2645sg, no pedantry intended, just noticed the numbers didn't add up. Easy fix though eh?
No, nothing constructive to add. Just watching and waiting like dozens of others I expect.
My answer will unfortunately be boring to you. I dont know the sales figures in and out and I haven't studied the end of year results.
My positive "facts" would be the type of people who have invested in AM. The fact Mercedes have invested and will supply us with electric technology that otherwise would have had to been designed at great expense.
And lastly the fact that many big car manufacturers have had similar boosts in the value of their companies due to better than expected sale forecasts in China.
I know I haven't given exact figures and names. That's not really my jam. And I know it's not going to influence someone of your experience compared to myself (I'm a newbie).
But there are positive "facts". Whether there are positive "sales numbers".... I'm not in the know and am happy to admit that
Typo, 1839 wholesale, so 441 stands.
Thanks for the pedantry though, I'll assume you have nothing constructive to add.
"Wholesale was 1830 and retail was 1398, so that's 441 cars."
Or 432 :-)
"Wholesale was 1830 and retail was 1398, so that's 441 cars."
Or 432 :-)
C26. Not too sure if the difference between wholesale and retail gives the answer you think. Moers was asked that at the Q&A and he said it was because a lot of cars were being shipped. It can take weeks to ship cars to the US and China. I don't honestly know enough to say.
I agree Carpy, I doubt everything I am invested in, because otherwise it's blind faith.
I lost count of the number of companies I was invested in in the past 25 years who's CEO claimed things that didn't materialise.
I want to be the first the see things others don't, it saves me money.
The whole point of me not posting my investment is because it doesn't tell you very much.
Ie, if I only had £5k pre results now I am up to £35k.
or if I had £110k and reduced to 35k.
it's all nonsense, and the reason we should be debating facts.
Carpy there is actually a way of knowing for sure.
The difference between wholesale and retail.
Wholesale was 1830 and retail was 1398, so that's 441 cars.
We all know it's not guaranteed mate. But do we think Stroll's 5 year plan is going to work? Are the cars going to sell? Look at the whole package over the next few years... DBX derivatives, 10 new cars, mid engine cars, specials, F1 marketing, EV, mercedes partnership. I'm not ramping mate, but when you start putting it all together, we're still only at the very beginning. It's gonna take time but the green shoots were there in Q4. By the end of this year I think things will really start moving up through the gears.
C26. You know that there's no way of knowing for sure. I am trusting what Stroll and Moers are telling us. Thats why I'm invested. If you've got 35K invested, that's a lot of money and perhaps the one question that ou really need to ask is should you really be invested in AML. You just don't seem to believe or trust at all. I'm careful, I listen to the results...I watch them again... I read the manuscript and I ask questions and then I decide that I'm still happy with progress, but you seem to have endless doubts. If I was anywhere near as doubtful as you...I'd be out.
Thanks Carpy. I made the comment about figures because you said in your post "cant remember exact figure".
So, how many of the 483 sold in Q4 to APAC are cars to customers, and not just loading the dealerships with DBX models?
C26...Just got back from my walk and lunch and caught up on the BB. Firstly, I want to make one thing clear, I didn't just make numbers up out of my head. As you very well know, I was talking about the results for APAC, which I have now checked in the FY Results and they are as follows:
Q4 2019 = 358 sold
Q4 2020 = 483 sold
This is an increase of 35% on the same quarter from 2019. YES, I was wrong, by 1%...I underestimated! Incidentally, Europe increased by 26%. The UK decreased by 27% and US decreased by 22%. I dont think the UK and US should be such a big surprise given the way they have been hit by Covid.
Secondly, I would like to make it clear that I would never intentionally mislead anyone. I am not a ramper, I intend to hold my shares for a number of years so have nothing to gain from short term spikes. I do admit I enjoy it and get excited like everyone else when they rise...I am only human. Now I don't intend getting into silly arguments, I discourage others and must practice what I preach.
So your turn Jack, care to share some facts which show AML as a growing company?
Thank you c26. My interpretation is you are less delighted with the end of year results compared to others. You have concerns that mirror the authors of articles like the one you posted and some analysts.
But you're still holding your current position and we look forward to and hope for improvements in the next results. Thanks for sharing.
Hopefully the SP doesn't fall much lower than its current levels and the dip from 2200 to 1950 was because of the negative reasons you've outlined (as well as a natural adjustment after the surge)
I have £35k invested right now Jack.
I disagree. I think there is wisdom in c26 previous posts. He/she has correctly predicted some of the SP movements over the last month. I found a post where they suggested they had set buy limits at 2050, 2075 and 2100.
While the posts are predominantly pessimistic, they add balance to the overall bb.
I genuinely just want to know your current position. In the past you've stated when you'd top up. You are significantly better read than I am.
It would just be useful when you post new negative information like you have today that you also post your summary.
Here's an interview with Stroll on this topic(EV) and on F1: https://youtu.be/qlm9d2UV8QY
Jack, just click on my username and look through all my posts.
Maybe you'll see how close I have been to calling most things on AML.
Give me the facts that show AML is a growing business Jack?
Strolls words are not facts.
