Yesterday, I saw a brand new 70 plate AML convertible - its brakes were screeching like a cat being dragged off a hot tin roof lol!!!!! Hopefully it had literally just been rolled out the showroom. Looked and sounded awesome though ;-)))). 65p+ today! GLA
No apologies necessary. We need to measure ourselves against the opposition.
You make me feel old saying that!
Thanks @3300,
It seems like RR was a good decision, added some more this morning hoping 90p is the new low.
Will keep my eye open for TUI.
Still got some fund left, thinking to add more here (hate to pay more but this has held well).. it seems like this will break 65p anytime..
There was a motoring programme last night that I missed most of. Tiff was one of the presenters who I've always liked. They were testing the DBS against, I think, the Ferrari superfast. The comment was the Ferrari got the most looks, but then again in bright red it would do. But Tiff came out in favour of the DBS, saying the looks were better and it was a better all round GT car. I shall road test these this weekend! Fancy coming 3300?
2 close friends work for RR and the military applications they produce aren't just limited to the engines, they make a load of different components especially for US military and Airbus
3300 - re RR. I used to manage our company jet. As aircraft fly they have to pay into an engine maintenance fund each month based on hours flown. RR are an engine supplier and as the aviation sector recovers, RR revenues will increase. Obviously RR also supply the military and provide the engines for the Eurofighter. They also are involved in marine engines and other areas of construction. Hope that helps.
Lots of companies make a ‘net profit’ but when the cost of debt is taken off, that gives the ‘pre tax’ profit. The reason this is done is because not ever Needs debt to run a business. The net profit shows the amount of money the company makes. Eg. If the company was sold to another with no borrowing, the pre tax would be the same as the net.
@c2645sg - If I read your original posts correctly, your question was...
How can a company that is not making a profit pay the interest payments?
The answers you were given explained that the reason AML will make a loss is because they are paying the interest.
So they start by making a profit from selling cars and end up will a loss after covering the interest on their debt.
Hope that helps, Paul. :)
Agreed 3300. But I asked a basic question, PaulOZ, Crank and MGFX all had a personal go.
That's cool, but I refuse to do the same.
People obviously don't want to discuss, so I'll take it somewhere else,
Cheers
Agreed 3300, everyone is unsure, that's why we are discussing.
Thought that was the whole point.
I guess not. So I'll waddle off and let the experts lecture on ebitda.
Since my link didn't go down so well, here's another.

I'm sure people can also check back on my posting history and see how accurate I have been in the past with AML.
...and then the personal insults start.
You always know someone is losing an argument when they resort to insulting someone asking question.
It's like dealing with Trump, you ask a concise question, and someone waffles on with utter nonsense about ebitda and then fires insults at you.
Quality.
Probably some profit taking today as ftse showing 1% down..
Useful thread, thanks for the info guys. I bought RR today also. I think I saw you on there Wylie, seems like another fun BB like this one can be!
I got some RR at 90p today happy to hold as can see some gains.
Went bigger into HYVE though as I think it has way more upside potential and plenty cash in the bank.
Took 25% in a few months so probably my best one so far; in ££.
Appreciated your input and wish you the best luck.
Steve
Apologies to some on what I thought today would bring. Wasn’t up to date! Sorry.
After a good few months waiting for ‘Tesla rise’ I decided to sell my 180k shares at 62.6p
Miss AML already but, like many have said, 62p is the new 50p and too much opportunity elsewhere.
GLA
It's a chart I'm trying to show you if it works. Looks good to me. Possible trip under 60 then up she goes either tomorrow or Monday?
Not sure this will work.

c2645sg - Thank you for the link to the complete idiot's guide to EBITDA. Not on the 11 problem list is indication of cash generation, which is the required knowledge to answer your original question about debt servicing. Clearly, providing such a naff link along with the fact that you refuse to accept the explanation given, suggests that you have no idea what EBITDA is and how to use it....or you are a shorter and simply want people to sell based on the fear you are trying to generate. It may well be that there will be a future dilution, but at this point it is not necessary. If you want to challenge a point, at least bring some knowledge of substance to the table.

Thanks for the reply Richard. GL!
FN2187, the F1 team is a stand alone from AML. Laurence Stroll owns the team and will present the cars in AML livery next season. The $20 million sponsorship by AMLof Red Bull F1 will he transferred to Racing Point in what I understand is a 5 year deal. Running the cars in works colours with a multi world champion driver should provide very good exposure.
