Scratch that, it looks like it's an issue with trading 212 that I'm checking the price on, when looking on trading view there is more movement
Any idea why the share price has made pretty much static for the last 5 days or so? It's quite unusual given the recent volatility
MD..... you can say with 100% certainty?
Ukraine joining NATO was the red line, and the Russians had been saying it for ages. You're right, currently there are no nukes in Ukraine, but, Ukraine becoming a member of NATO, what you think NATO/US would place there, tulips and daffodils?
Had or if Ukraine joins NATO, NATO/US would setup forward military and air force bases within striking distance of mainland Russian. The Russians have done a preemptive strike by invading Ukraine (totally wrong in my book), one to give a clear message to Zelensky and the West/NATO, and secondly they're using this as an opportunity to create the corridor between themselves and Crimea.
Unfortunately, the casualty of any war is the civilians, loss of life, damage and etc...all of this could have been avoided had both sides seen sense, but no, one side we have a madman, and on the other side we have Zelensky, his masters promising him false hope. I think the conflict has gone on for longer than anybody expected, it will only end when side or the other wins or concedes.
On your point 2, it was too late for the US to invade Cuba, the Russians had parked their missiles, doing so would have resulted in www3

There are two differences in the examples
1: There were no nukes in Ukraine
2: There was no war or invasion in Cuba

Blumagnet..fair point
But, remember also, RY said TEO would be completed and published Q4 2021, its now end of Q1 2022. RY/BOD have missed endless deadlines, its beyond a joke.
If RY/BOD were so clever and smart, they should have been one step ahead of the EV revolution, they should have seen it coming, they should have completed all the in-house work to ensure AMC was the brightest star in the sky, thats what you call the BOD earning their corn.
We have the resource, no doubts about it, is this BOD capable of going into production? No
Is this BOD capable of negotiating the best deal for a ÂŁ30b asset, in my opinion, NO
I'm here because I'm locked in, don't want to sell on a loss, after 7 years of hold I'm expecting break even and some. From an investment perspective, not a good return, lessons learnt.
Kammy
"My take, if there was no conflict, we'd still be sitting here and be waiting comms from the RY/BOD"
Kammy, i disagree with the above,
Putting the War a side.
Amc had submitted the TEO, have secured and identified huge amount of nickel & copper and other by products wich im sure by now everyones aware of, Amc is debt free with money in bank. In December last year RY did say in his interview we should be optimistic going forward, and as your aware the nickel price had been trading at new highs back end of last year and most importantly the EV revolution taking place,
It was most likely an offer was coming our way..
Amc is still in a good place with a great commodity and we have been patient just need to be a bit more and hopefully we will be rewarded.
While you make a fair point about salaries the market could not and would not introduce that of thing so its left to the pi to decide if the bod have earned their corn.
Amc are debateable, they have managed to steer a path through some difficult times but they have been going near 20 years and that progress jas been dreadfully slow.
They have also spent a lot of money during that time and a fair chunk of it on a bod make up that has not really contributed that much...but these are market requirements mostly.
The indicative value at 100m was interesting because i would hazard a guess that the amount raised through the market over the years would not be a kick in the ass of it.
I must say though.....i think the bod and nomad deserve massive critiscm for the way january was handled and it will be interesting to see the final outcome....if we ever do:)
Your last paragraph, fair assumption, and thats all it is.
My take, if there was no conflict, we'd still be sitting here and be waiting comms from the RY/BOD
In my 20 years of investing, this is one of the most inept BOD I've come across, they have total disregard for the shareholders, they have and will continue to keep us in the dark until forced top do otherwise.
Just remember, RNS forced out on the 25th Jan, conflict started on 24th Feb, even during those 4 weeks we heard nothing, and of course the BOD will hide behind NDA'S....comedy gold!
In my opinion, directors of AIM companies with zero sales/revenue, should be on base salary's, they should get paid incentives based on achieving company and shareholder value.
2015, SP hit highs of 40p, seven years later we're at sub 2p, yet the likes of RY have drawn handsome salaries.
Kammy
Point 1) a potentially interested party has valued the Company at an indicative
price of up to ÂŁ100 million.
Point 2 ) A further announcement will be made in due course
The above points I have taken out from the 25th Jan RNS clearly states 100m on the table, negotiations taking place..( i would like to belive directors are negotiating to increase this offer of 100m.
And a further announcement will be made in due course, so since we have not had this further announcement ( Yet ) i would like to belive its all in play
Unfortunately its not just about ending of the conflict, my fear is the sanctions and counter sanctions will go on for years to come. At some the BOD will have to make a decision to come out of the bunker
Kammy
Any thoughts or debate as to where the Nickel price might stabilise? At what point may it just be too expensive, or basically will the price just have to be passed on to the consumer!
All the predictions of previous years are just out the window but anyone want to speculate, or again will we just have to wait for the conflict to end and the dust to settle. Which with Putin in place could be many many years ahead IMO?
ManuelDexterity..agree in the main what you wrote
On one point, you wrote "Would NATO attack Russia no would Ukraine attack Russia no why because nobody wants it"
How is the above different to when Russia (USSR) placed nukes on Cuban soil? One could have argued at the time the Russians wont attack the US.....but look back at the US reaction at the time

DJ As I do not live in the uk and do not read uk news papers.Your uninformed view of me is incorrect.
I will though say something about the Iraq war,I was then living in the uk and did read about it on the news and managed to retain some thoughts of my own,no matter what era you were born in to,it may surprise you to know Iq did not arrive with the birth of the internet. One thing I chose to do was watch the debate live in the commons. My view was that the case was not made for wmd and that The prime minister deceived parliament and went on to send many people to theyâre deaths. He should be held to account.
It would seem that your assumptions on many subjects is flawed as is your view of older people.
You donât seem to discuss a subject, you continually try to prove your theories, which is the wrong way to approach things. So I will not reply to you from here.
MD
The war in the north of Ireland is on our doorstep but I guess, in your head, that doesn't count.
As for:-
"I guess youâre just lucky to live in the one state which prints the truth."
The media here isn't an organ of the state, run and controlled by the state. Murdoch, Rothermere, Lebedev and the papers they control have their own agenda's the Guardian also but they're not poodles of the state and neither is the BBC no matter what many of its critics claim. The press here is frequently the government of the day's biggest critic no matter which one is in power. In Russia! In China!
What do you think would happen to you if you were to voice your opinions in Russia? You'd probably go the same way as Nemtsov if you were to voice them loudly enough. That's assuming, of course, your opinions didn't involve you lavishing praise on Putin .
You seem to think you are in some sort of elevated and privileged position where you can distinguish the difference between truth and lies, where you and only you know, see and understand what's going on. I'm not sure whether that's arrogance or delusion but its certainly at least one of the two if not both.
Liberal western democracy has a lot of faults but the alternatives, IMO, are far less attractive.

Ukraine as a country is being demolished, over 10 million of it's population 26% are homeless their livelihood non existing anymore.
Putin's army will end up using chemical and even tactical nuclear weapons as a last need
True MD, but letâs be honest, given your age youâre a legacy media consumer and probably havenât cottoned on to how it works yet. Thereâs a range of media sources by people on the ground now, bypassing the toilet paper, and Iâd recommend you have a look.
TDT - not one of the wars the U.K. has been involved post WW2 has been within 1000 miles of our border. They are wars for global influence. If you think the 250k dead and the utter basket case of Iraq was justified then God help you.
As for every BB having one, letâs be fair, all you guys do is repost what you read in the paper so Iâm quite pleased to be the one who doesnât just reprint articles and think it gets you the nod on truth because thereâs a logo at the top of the page you read it from.
As Iâve said, the Russians and Chinese have their own narratives. I guess youâre just lucky to live in the one state which prints the truth. Amazingly coincidental, you have to be overjoyed about that!
DJ,as I have said already I do not understand your opinion on these matters.I am assuming that I am considerably older than you.My reading of history seems to be at odds with yours
As another poster commented a while ago.
In my teenage years I knew many men who had the first hand experience of world war 2 and they all of those people hammered home to me the futility of war.
Forget a wonderful article or minerals here or there, the only common thread with any war is immense suffering by ordinary people.
Would NATO attack Russia no would Ukraine attack Russia no why because nobody wants it.
The only issue here is that Ukraine is a sovereign state and has been invaded.
That is wrong.
As another poster described you âevery bb has one â
So I will leave you to your own devises and leave it there.
MD
If you know anything about Gerald Bull you'll know that the "super gun" or long range artillery to give it its proper name wasn't a load of shyt. If it were a load of shyt the Israeli's wouldn't have been so keen to see Bull swim with the fishes.

As for WMD Saddam used chemical weapons during the Iran/Iraq war and on his own people at Halabja. You don't need me to post any links on that one because it's well documented and easy to find.
Motive and means.

Lastly MD, I take any reports of Russian atrocities or footage with the same punch of salt as itâs the same people who told us about the super gun, WMD deployed on London in 45 minutes etc. For gods sake man donât you remember all that? Theyâre full of shyt.
Iâm also non interventionist and I donât think we have any business in this war. Given there is no moral position over â2 super powers arguingâ then the only people I care about are the innocent people of Ukraine. Particularly the men, who have been discriminated against and forced to fight with the threat of a bullet.
MD - itâs a conflict in Eastern Europe about whether (largely) Germany and America or Russia have access to the vast mineral, oil and strategic advantage of the Ukraine.
Nothing new, itâs been going on for millennia.
Itâs absolutely clear that the western media are taking a particular side and you may have forgotten the decades of falsehoods and horse shyt theyâve fed us to justify wars and invasions before. I havenât forgotten, but it seem most people have once they have a cartoon villain to have a 2 minute hate on.
But zelensky still in the bunker not? Hummm .. something smell here...
I really donât follow you take on this DJ,so are you suggesting that there are no atrocities being committed in Ukraine or are you suggesting that itâs the Ukraine bombing themselves.
Or is it the deep state or the deep throat, either way your opinion is a bit hard to swallow
MD
War is a terrible thing. Just be aware that the Vietnamese had TV bulletins of US atrocities. The british had reports of German and Japanese atrocities. However, you never get to see the atrocities your own side are culpable for.
This is very palatable. Everyone wants to think theyâre the good guys. Iâm sure the Russians have seen reports of atrocities against their people for many years now.
So, where does the truth lie? Well, all I can say is that if youâre basing it on the publications in your own language and country alone, itâs very much akin to how the religious always believe their own faith because theyâve had it their whole lives, and donât question that it might be their own conditioning.
Every time I turn on the media now I donât look at it as any semblance of truth. Itâs the truth that those who write it are prepared to show and omits all the truths which they arenât willing to.
In summary, if you donât view what you read in the papers with extreme scrutiny then youâre doing it wrong.
wait and see anyway, enough talk about what i want...ill just have to wait and hope for as much as possible.
logging out now, not coming on here again...too many wierdos creeping around.
hopefully minimum 20p, but i hope for 32+p per share.
largest undeveloped nickel sulphide project in Asia...anyone think it is worth a lower price? 7p is miserable, no sale pre TEO, board will not recommend to share holders before TEO and take off offers, just will not happen, give it away for a pittance after 15 years or more work. no chance will Mr Young and his team do that.
