Thanks for sharing Alun.
Hi giles. Yes I agree re the TR1 but as far as I know that process takes a few days (again don't quote me - I've never filed one). By authority I mean that my broker spoke to the market maker charged with selling the stock and that was the story - so take it or leave it but what he was told is that fire sale was nothing to with ALGW it was cover for losses in other positions.
@Alun21: You say you 'have it on authority' that the 15 million share sale was due to a T20 that couldn't be covered and that the individual had to sell shares to cover their position.
15.8 million shares is 3.65% of the total ALGW shares in issue. Not only has this individual never submitted a TR-1 when crossing the 3% line when accumulating but he/she needs to submit one now updating his holding.
Surely though a 15m holding and selling must warrant a TR1 holding notification?
I have it on authority that the 15m sale was for someone trading t20s who couldnt cover. His custodian told him to pay or they were going to sell stock and he couldn’t pay. It was not a considered disposal they just wanted £500k in cash.
Raaydaar, you are starting to sound like Gobind with your predictions, news soon, very soon, very very soon.
Which is it?
Together with Tom Winnifrith, who penned an article in his ************* magazine the other day, Travel Man and Tom knocked a wedge off the share price. The article was entitled "Where is the audit" for the Bermuda based company which we took over?
Well, where is it? I have not seen it and GS has certainly not updated the market. As for damage limitation, it took GS two days to think of something to say-all he could come up with was clarity on which of the two companies we bought and a regurgitated article from earlier this year. You said ask yourself why the sudden reminder? I don`t need reminding. There is still no news,
There is still no new SMA`s, which are getting nearer
There are still no signed counterparty policies, which are supposedly under review.
All there is is a build and buy strategy-copy someone else`s homework.
You may think I am having a moan but it is plain to see, GS has delivered bugger all really. He should not be in charge, whether he considers it his company or not. Some (most) have more shares than he does, so he should listen to the shareholders.
I had hoped after the takeover that we had turned a corner but we are heading backwards again.
And last of all, someone sold 15 million shares the other day and we still do not know who. There is no getting away from that.
I added a modest 202k this afternoon too. Every little helps................
Looks like £60k (3 trades) were the reason for the increase judging by the time of them.
Yes it's nothing new the question you need to ask is why remind the market about Alpha right now? If it was damage limitation that needed to be done a couple of days ago. I think news is very very close and Alpha will fly
Pretty sure you're looking at the same article.
Yes it's nothing new but these are the sort of articles/PR this company needs.
I have just seen the write up, if it is the one published around 3 hours ago, it is nothing new,
GS doing damage limitation until an update in early July.
Or am I looking at the wrong one?
I was going to post it and then got distracted.
Informative and not rampy at all which is good. I do agree about people not fully understanding what is happening with Alpha.
Here’s the rebound
New posting about ALGW out today on ProactiveInvestor , if folks have not seen it yet.
