That update was in the half yearly update from June 2023. Nothing tangible on AUM growth been achieved or reported since. There is nothing new in the pipeline, so my expectations on the next update are low, just the continued frustration with sitting on a substantial paper loss for the foreseeable. Anyone fancy a trip to Bermuda to demand our money back?
Postcard received from Bermuda - Dear UK Shareholders, weather is great here thanks. Nothing new to report really, plenty of cashflow to maintain my comfortable lifestyle. Oh the growth plan? yeah sorry, we've kinda given up on that. seeyuz! G.
The share price has collapsed which is a massive concern, and many long term shareholders are badly underwater. Selling and making a big loss on an investment is not a preferred option. The justified 'moaning' is due to the perceived absence of progress against the expected business plan and not being kept 'informed' except at the most basic level. It's just all very unsatisfactory.
So here we again with the SP gradually declining again towards basement following a frisson of hope about the expired warrants. If my memory serves me right, following the Havelet acquisition in Nov 22, there were no new acquisitions in 2023 and 14 months later we still sitting at $700m AUM in Jan 2024. And we are expected to believe the company will attain $2B AUM in 2025. With the continuing lack of any news or breakthroughs, this is surely just wishful thinking. The mention of due diligence in the RNS reports presumably means the working approach, rather than anything actually tangible.
Growth? - I don't think so, nothing has been added to AUM for a year, hence the ever shrinking SP as investor interest and confidence drains away. It would be helpful if Mr Ward actually delivered on his board role to get the business wheels turning
Historic SP low was 1p.
The last investor update was back in June with the Q&A.
A whole 3 months ago.
We are due a quarterly investor update in September plus the half yearly report.
Some good news on revenues and any acquisitions will be very welcome
Has this lead balloon finally reached basement at 1.8p? Can't be much more profit to squeeze out of sells (famous last words..) by the market makers, day traders or distressed sellers desperate for some of their money back. Are people poised to hit the buy button to take advantage of the expected upturn on news?
Stating that my £30K share investment with ALGW has been disappointing does not change anything. True, no one forced me to buy this stock, it was my choice based on a reasonable consideration of risk and reward.
Oh - but just hang on another couple of years they say, it all be great!
That's all very well if you can wait that long - but its one hell of a disappointment right now, trapped in negative equity with no tangible prospects of share value improving any time soon. The SP is flat lining like a dead parrot below the IPO price. It's quite an achievement to be so poorly rated by the markets.
Yes but its the same people 'topping up' and then selling. After waiting three years of reasoned expectation that ALGW will reap rewards on my investment, its been a very disappointing outcome and any real increase is probably still many months/years away. There are no new buyers to generate any momentum or positive sentiment on the share price, it's just an echo chamber on this board. Am considering waiting for the next wave of false hope and then selling up to find a better investment.
