A long term partnership that would make sense to expand into Ammonia fuelled vessels, using AFC's Ammonia Cracker and Fuel Cells, as they decarbonize their fleet.
"ABB and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings expand long-term partnership."
“We are pleased to solidify our long-term collaboration with ABB in a strategic partnership that aligns with our climate action strategy, centered as it is on the pillars of efficiency, innovation and collaboration,” said Patrik Dahlgren, Executive Vice President, Vessel Operations, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. “With ABB’s support, we will accelerate the decarbonization and digitalization of our fleet, taking our operations another step forward towards a sustainable future.”
“Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is a highly valued partner of ABB, and this agreement reaffirms the strong collaboration between our companies. We are pleased to continue our collaboration and see our solutions and services playing an integral role in the modernization of their growing cruise fleet,” said Juha Koskela, Division President, ABB Marine & Ports. “Through this collaboration, we will help NCLH to achieve safer and more efficient vessel operations while, more broadly, contributing to maritime decarbonization.”

OK, seems it's a picture from last year, so cancel that thought!

Although I strongly suspect the production line is very busy anyway, as they had taken delivery of the stacks for 8 x 200kW commercial systems last July, and need to be building Speedy commercial systems too.
"c.850kW of new S+ Series fuel cell stacks (>100kW per stack) already manufactured and ready for 200kW system integration this year"
"Under the SMA, SHS commits to an initial order from AFC Energy, for delivery throughout the first six months of 2024, of generators at a committed value of £2m with the intention to increase orders up to c.£4.7m across the first full contract year (commencing 1 Nov. 2023)."
He won't go away, he can't keep his word because Helikon are paying him to stay here.
lse.co.uk moderators won't make him go away despite thousands of posts reported and then deleted by them, it's obviously way too lucrative for them to keep him here even though he breaks their rules multiple times a day and keeps their moderators in a full time job.
However, WE CAN MAKE HIM GO AWAY!!
Just filter the idiot as I just have, and leave him talking to himself. All you will see then is:
"This message has been filtered, please adjust your filters to view"
Just stick to your word. Go away Ade, no one wants you here.
You are the lowest of the low and a proven liar.
Haggis, we have had the car charging story with Extreme E which lasted ages and amounted to nothing. then we had a brief data storage faze when AFC employed ex data storage guy and nothing happened. Then we had the Power Tower era and this seems to have died of now also.
So now its maritime era.
When are they going to find something they can SELL!!!! All these projects and research projects are starting to make me think that Bond is just on the gravy train and trying to make this pyramid scheme last and last.
Its a disgrace and I cannot believe share holders here aint demanding that AFC start coming clean.
Busy building those COMMERCIAL SYSTEMS for Speedy Hydrogen Solutions!!!!

Say anything about this ABB deal, I think if its dead shareholders need to know.
That comment doesnt even make sense - you denying your own comments:
https://www.lse.co.uk/profiles/ade1234/?page=36 - you clearly state 4-5 times you texted a guy who was dead for 10+ years
How this as not dropped more with all the sells today.
Get back under you're rock. This is how you deal with people like that call them out and shame them for lying.
Looks like the sell off is continuing.
Probably before, or when results come out shortly at latest.
I hope you're right Construct! How long do you think they'll play their cards close to their chest?
The cracker has already been validated at 99.99% efficiency by experts, which planet do you live on.
It's called playing your cards close to your chest, why should Afc let the competition know what their doing until they need to.
With all this activity ongoing Construct, you'd think there'd be at least a smidgen of news to report, wouldn't you? How do you explain the protracted silence?
The cracker doesn't crack ammonia to 99.99% Construct, it has to go through a purifier to achieve that figure so I'm not sure what's so ground breakin about AFC's proprietary unit. AFC seem very good at making pronouncements that they lead the world in certain technologies but never actually produce a viable product containing these technologies, to prove it. Think AlkaMem! You could argue that their whole business plan was centred around the successful deployment of it but we all know what happened there. I wouldn't be surprised if this super, duper cracker goes the same way. It's just another carrot 🥕

Funding Secured for Clean Maritime Ammonia Cracker and Combustion Engine Integration Trials
AFC Energy (AIM: AFC), a leading provider of hydrogen power generation technologies, is pleased to announce it has been awarded funding under the UK Government's Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (Round 4) (CMDC4), funded by the UK Department for Transport ("DfT") and delivered by Innovate UK.
CMDC4 is part of DfT's UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UK SHORE) programme, a £206m initiative focused on developing the technology necessary to decarbonise the UK domestic maritime sector.
Highlights
· AFC Energy led consortium awarded £676,500 to design and integrate its proprietary ammonia cracker reactor technology with marine purposed, ammonia fuelled internal combustion engines ("ICE").
· Ammonia combustion is enhanced by the addition of an ammonia cracker, allowing an engine to run on an energy dense fuel mix consisting of hydrogen rich cracked gas and ammonia.
· The demonstration if successful is targeting worldwide application across maritime vessels seeking to adopt ammonia combustion as its preferred zero carbon propulsion fuel.
· Programme Partners include international leaders in engine design, MAHLE Powertrain (wholly owned subsidiary of global Tier 1 automotive supplier MAHLE GmbH), specially developed injectors and control valves from Clean Air Power, with testing and evaluation from the University of Nottingham.
· Industry support from global shipping companies, Eastern Pacific Shipping and Purus.
· Funding commences Q1 2024 with results from the proof-of-concept demonstration expected to be published twelve months later.
· Ammonia crackers integrated with combustion engines provide a scalable and flexible route which could extend the lifetime of currently deployed onboard combustion engine assets.
Significant investment has been made by industry into multi-megawatt ammonia combustion engines designed to support zero carbon emission propulsion of the largest of marine vessels. The aim is for ICEs to be used on their own or in partnership with fuel cell technologies to support both propulsion and auxiliary power needs of the vessel.
However, ammonia is not a simple swap in alternative fuel, there are several modifications that would be required to support the combustion of ammonia in a typical reciprocating engine - one of which is the addition of hydrogen to increase the flame speed and improve other combustion properties of the ammonia. By utilising an ammonia cracker, a Hydrogen rich cracked gas stream could be generated on demand from a single fuel source thus negating the need for multiple fuel storage solutions.
You know fine well that Dpeedy hire have ordered an initial £2million of products rising to £4.7 million in this first year. Also ABb have ordered & recieved 1 unit with an option gorgeous an initial another 9 following certification. We have signed a contract with Tamgo covering Saudi Arabia & 16 other countries in the MENA region that alone will be massive. Also Acciona have one & going to increase their orders. Then we have the world's most efficient Ammonia to Hydrogen cracker 99.99% efficient verified by government lab tests .That alone is over 50% more efficient than anything else on the planet & will make AFC ENERGY a massive success on its own as a stand alone product. So stop spouting your absolute rubbish because your looking money through shorting the company. Your going to end up paying a heavy price for your garbage.
Go away Ade, no one, I repeat, no one wants you here.
You are the lowest of the low and a proven liar.
See, wishing this will go up and trying to shut down anyone that say different is pointless.
I hope you're right Construct. Your confidence in AFC's ability to deliver is admirable, considering its abysmal track record of failing to deliver any sales over 18 years, despite much hype, at various stages, suggesting they were nailed on. I guess this time it could be different!
I suggest all you doubters on here watch the intrim results presentation. Product certification & such takes time. So stop spouting your negative lies & look at the facts. Eveything is proceeding nicely. ABB £4 million investment, Speedy hire investment (£ 4.7 million of oredrs in first financial year. Government geants of nearly £5 million. Loads of cash in bank. Loads of partners, ie ABb, Tamgo, Speedyhire, Acciona & plenty more. Company results out soon when this fantastic companies share price will look completely differant to now & all the con men on here will have lost substantial amounts by shorting the stock.
If we don't get an update on ABB soon, are we to assume that the ABB deal is no more? It's February on Thursday FFS and complete silence! Also, what's happened to the 50kVA unit supposedly delivered to Acciona last year? Investor communication is plumbing new depths with this outfit.
