BigT0 Did DW actually make that decision on his own, I doubt very much so, PB was a committed to the project and I am sure would have forced the issue had he believed that the original well plan was the prime option, but that is something that will probably never be confirmed either way.
I agree with you DW took on what was effectively a shell company in 2014 and we are where we are today, whether that is a good position it for everyone to decide, but I have little time for the little minded personal attacks that we seen on occasions.
From what I can see I think the only decision Dave has possibly got wrong is changing the horizontal to a vertical drill. Other than than that what else?
new to this board, 88 been on my watchlist for some time. when things go south everyone gets personal with management, easiest thing to do. always blame myself for any losses. fully know the risks of investing in AIM and am prepared to lose every penny i invest. this stock is not lost and can recover imo
Easy. No matter the job, their is always someone better qualified. Plenty of experienced senior managers in oil majors with the kind of contacts this company can only dream about. Wall has got so far, now maybe is the time to hand over to somebody who can bring shareholder value, something we all crave.
Equagold. Perhaps you could enlighten us as to the specific requirements you consider to be able to do the job better?
ecu
have you put your name forward
cat
bought on April spike as so confident in the company - shame
"If it significantly benefits the company, then the answer is simple."
But it won't so he'll stay.
Have emailed Mr Wall regarding the need to stand down for a more qualified person. Expect the answer "If it significantly benefits the company, then the answer is simple."
rosso better get some speckled hen in then :-) stay appy
Illiquidity
Why is the spread so big.
Mikemike's facility is very helpful to us ignorant fellows on here. Like many on here who spread their knowledge and information on this company and share it on here I find it all very useful. Without it I wouldn't be invested. If I'm not sure, I don't mind sounding idiotic when I'm trying to find the answer. That's how I passed my exams many years ago.
Perhaps you would share the answer from DW to your question.
“The suspension operation was designed to maximise flexibility for the future use of the wellbore”
Would waiting an extra couple of weeks to remove more stimulation fluid have diminished our maximum flexibility that much, or had ye given up that it would never flow in current conditions?
Was the maximum flexibility higher last year before the shut in, in hindsight when was the maximum flexibility?
In your opinion, will the fact that a flow test wasn't achieved at IW2 in summer 2018 have a material impact on the final value of the company, or does it merely change the timescales?
I dont need you MIkeMike to send a question. Im capable of sending my own. I dont recall seeing your name on the books of 88E and a gateway to Dave Wall
Thank you mike, and thank you for providing this Q & A opportunity. I may have another idiotic question yet.
Do you consider IW2 a success (due to the information gleaned) or a failure due to the lack of flow?
great questions coming and remarkably very few duplicates.
Imam in a different time zone and when i awake, I am sure there will be more great questions.
so if you do not get a response from me during your daylight hours its because.. ZZZZzzzzzzZZZZZzzzzzZZZ
Coopz your question is in
Q> What is the long term plan with the new Western Block project? Once drilled and proven, do you intend to continue as a producer and use the money generated to help fund any of the other projects? Or will you look to sell 88E's stake in the venture at that point to provide quicker access to a higher working capital?
Q> There has been recent talk on the message boards regarding possible consolidation. Can you advise if this is something you may consider in the near future or if your thoughts on this remain unchanged (ie. That it would do more harm than good and therefor isn't something you'd consider at this stage).
Q> How strong is our negotiating position in current Icewine farmout discussions? Particularly with regards to how much we will have to give up and what we will receive in return for it. For example, would it bear more resemblance to the Armstrong deal with Oil Search, or to the Great Bear deal with our new consortium? I realise this will be a sensitive topic that you may not be able to answer due to the farm out talks taking place currently, but I thought it worth asking in case you can give us some kind of an idea of what we might be looking at.
Q> I realise the Western Block project was a very opportunistic deal. Are you on the lookout for other such opportunities or did this one merely present itself to you as an offer you couldn't refuse?
Tinlode your question is in
no such thing as an idiotic question...I cannot be held responsible for the answer.:)) i think that is what is called a disclaimer
This may be a completely idiotic question because I've missed something -
As winter diesel, which has a very low pour point temperature range (-40 C/60C?), was poured into the top of IW2 to avoid freezing through the permafrost why wouldn't flow have continued during winter?
Sprintman your last question for now is in
Last question from me. As summer is now rapidly moving towards Autumn in Alaska with Winter kicking in around the cusp of Sept/ October, what actions are happening now on the ground and are any scheduled to stop for the winter?
