The Private Eye has been writing for years that the mini-energy companies in this country will fail when there is a spike in prices, as they do not have the financial muscle to undertake long term hedges or duck and dive in the market.
Low and behold - some will fail next week. A million customers are likely to be affected. Remember, if the Private Eye knows then all of Westminster knows, so do not fall for any show of surprise from GOV or their political masters.

I've just switched from EON to a small supplier and my switch starts on Tuesday, so too late to cancel switch now.
I also got "lucky" by switching to the very first energy Co to go bust GB ENERGY, a few yrs ago
The only one I knew was kalsarikännit
But it is now 559 days since I had a drink...
Nomlungu
559 days without a drinking did your health improve ?
Mick-B
Like nomlungu said several small providers will fold soon. So the big 6 will get more customers o guess.

Drink of choice before the 559 days?
Evi,
Beer - Bishop's Finger Ale or Stella if it was hot.
Belgium beer is best imo
Leffe Brown is an authentic abbey beer. Both its deep, dark brown colour and its full, slightly sweet flavour can be ascribed to the use of darkly roasted malt,
Good beer.......................

Madonna is having gallons of her favourite beer shipped to her front door, after finding out that it's not available near her home in Wiltshire. The pop queen apparently fell in love with Timothy Taylor's Landlord bitter after drinking a pint in a pub in Soho, London. The singer had 72-pint firkins sent 275 miles from the brewery to her £9 million mansion at a price of £80 each. Timothy Taylor brewer boss Charles Dent, who sent the casks to the 'Like a Virgin Singer' from the brewery on West Yorkshire, said: "It's a jolly good beer and a lot of girls like it" Actor Hugh Grant is also a fan of the award winning beer, which as been brewed since 1858. Meanwhile Madonna Madonna has racked up a staggering £200 in car parking fines - because she makes her driver park illegally while she's in the gym.The pop diva is chauffeured to her plush London fitness centre twice a week, and allegedly makes her driver wait on a single yellow line while she works out.Traffic wardens first noticed the singer's car waiting for her in august last year - and since then they have caught the driver parked outside more than 50 times.
