No Aim at this point i think Etin ic capable of influemcing international diplomacy ;-) Anyhow I think what Zarif has just said is HUGE.
It is worth a closer look at Etin's last post. Only a month ago the US tune was very different -----
"Donald Trump has said that if Iran does not acquire a nuclear weapon, it will be prosperous and have the US president as “a best friend” – but also warned that the Islamic Republic would be “obliterated” in any war between the two countries.
Trump’s remarks on Saturday morning came in the wake of his eleventh-hour decision to call off airstrikes in reprisal for the downing of a US surveillance drone. They are significant in that they differ starkly from the official line of his own administration: that Iranmust fulfil a list of 12 US demands before sanctions can be lifted.". So Zarif's latest offer meets Trump's demands square on. ------
"Zarif noted that in 2023, under the JCPOA, Iran’s parliament, the Majlis, was supposed to ratify the Additional Protocol of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a voluntary agreement that allows IAEA inspectors extensive access in Iran to ensure the country does not have a covert nuclear weapons programme. As part of the JCPOA, Iran already observes the Additional Protocol. Ratification by the Majlis would make it a more permanent commitment.
At the same time, under the JCPOA, the US Congress was due to lift sanctions on Iran.
Zarif proposed that the Iran and US take those steps immediately.
“If Trump wants more for more, we can ratify the Additional Protocol and he can lift the sanctions he set,” Zarif said. “He has said that he will take any measure to Congress – fine. Lift the sanctions and you’ll have the Additional Protocol sooner than 2023.”
That's a big move by Iran. Have we got a deal?
But it makes a nice read. A little movement from Iran could give Trumpy just enough to claim a huge, massive, spectacular victory (he’s very good at negotiating you see. He does the best negotiating). Then we’re back on!! (Clutching at straws?)
Or, you know, he reads the Guardian?? ;-)
100% agree with you.
Personally, I just think it's CC selling out for the reasons that have been made clear....nothing to do with WSG.
I'm in it for the long term but we all like to see our porfolio in profit and it feels like we are artificially held back until CC have sold their lot. I wish I had more high risk funds to take advantage of this atificially low sp.
If you know that the sum of parts is worth more than the present market cap just sit back and chill, pick up the low hanging fruit and wait for our shorters Robin U Blind and Harvina Laugh to close up.
Let PF deliver the TEMA RNS unannounced and he can't be best happy with the share price shenanigans himself. My guess is it will be delivered during market hours.
I tried to offer you more the explanation last night.
If CC were selling it would be 15p upwards as they did prior to their last notification. It simply doesn't make sense as things stand presently.
Research naked shorting and NTOG. I posted the link last night. The MM's can in theory naked short 10% of the stock.
I have never seen it done like this in the many years of watching WSG.
That is with several recent pieces of good news dished up. KSA JV, GAA JV, New Training Academy, 3 tech contracts and TEMA port sat very much still on the table. Then a raft of other MOU's - African airport / Iran signed but on hold etc etc
The present market cap does not even imo cover Lungi Airport with record passenger numbers and the Techno Division firing in a roughly 4Mill contract per year. HQ also must be worth about £4 Mill possibly more now and also and the add in Keyguard, Westminster Sicherheit and Euro Ops.
Sum of parts as they say.
Just leave them to get on a drop the Tema contract when its signed. That is massive business, still all to play for and would of transformed the business and the share price at 18p. Will transform it even more at 12p.
Etin pulls another rabbit from the hat. I swear he must work for the fancy bears or something.
Great post etincar, wasn't expecting such a glimmer of hope so soon to be honest. Let's see what tango man does in response.
Anyway, I believe it was £22 million per year phase 1, or thereabouts, ALREADY SIGNED and just waiting for geopolitics to calm down. No biggie.
"Trying now to install an app which will prevent me from clicking 'buy' on WSG"
At Bloe peed off miton selling up - hazard of small caps when it happens. Add Woodford and non corporate events have ripple effects - short term though
How much was that Iranian deal worth again?
What a shame nobody pointed that out for him before the AGM or his proactive performance. :-)
Someone must have advised PF he should not sign a contract during mercury retrograde periode (July 7-July 31)! "Mercury rules contracts, so think before you ink any deals. Either wrap up important negotiations before the cycle starts, or wait to sign documents until after Mercury goes direct."
Genuinely hate WSG....
I’m very small fish and dabble for fun.
I added 12000 @ 7.8 back in April. I sold these only last week and for once got lucky with an out at 17.6
I stress luck because that’s all it was - pure luck.
I do however feel sorry for those people who pour thousands into this share and lose their investment within the week.
This is nothing personal against PF though I do feel he has a lot to answer for.
This share continues to get played time after time while the rich get richer and the PI gets mugged.
HL don't give performance figure on WSG but I first bought five years ago at 34p - and apart from the odd spike
due to colourful RNS as others suggested its been a long downward droop.
For more times than I care to remember I've been tempted to dip in to my cost when the sp hs fallen away. Trying now
to install an app which will prevent me from clicking 'buy' on WSG
I am adding £2,000 per day until contract drops or to Friday 9 August (whichever sooner).
Lthmike look at the closing so today
I can hear your voice coming from the room of the motel you live in across the road in Ipswich, sad man, very apt alias...or not?
Exactly Aim..... and what with the CC sells early doors bobs your uncle.... cynical twits aside what I state is factual and there must be a reason????
Yes it was a strange uncrossing trade at 13p close yesterday and meant it was always going to open well down on true price which was at 11.75. Mms shaking out all the rainbow chasers. Big bounce will come to much going on to be this cheap. I’m actually hoping it drops a bit more tomorrow as looking to add some.
Its coming home,
its coming hone, its coming.
Songs in the street
It was nearly complete
It was nearly so sweet
And now I'm singing
Three L.O.I on the shirt
The sp no longer gleaming
30 years of hurt
Good sport. Yesterday’S trades:
16:25 - 11.75
16:35 - 13.00
8:00 - 11.75.
So I’m relaity the fall today is from 11.75 to 11.625
And yesterday’s fall was 14.00 to 11.75
Same overall impact of a fall from 14 to 11.625 over 2 days, but does make it look like it’s a big fall today when that doesn’t reflect trading. Seems to have scared a few on here for sure.
Phil..... look at the closing trades before the after hours declared ones last night. They frigged the price last moment at close gapping it to 13p. This meant opening price this morning was actually artificially higher than it should have been thus looking like there’d been a big fall early this morning. Imho they want it around this level for what ever reason. Either big client or II....who knows but it’s an engineered drop today!
