Trump's a dangerous buffoon. Doesn't understand diplomacy. Incapable of negotiation without involving teams of lawyers. Doesn't understand tariffs or comparative advantage. A total loser who has systematically removed every staff member who tried to control his knee jerk politics. So we are left with Bolton, Pence, Israel, SA and his useless extended family to call the shots. Make America gaga. I cannot see a WSG/Iran contract any time soon.
You get the feeling that Trump's style of "Government" relates directly to his own brash and bullying personality. He could well be sowing the seeds of war in the Middle East because Iran's economy - already a 'basket case' - is sliding further and further into the abyss and eventually the Supreme Leader will just block the Straits and challenge the ever growing number of warships gathering in the area.
Trump - master of the unintended consequence. Thick, brash, rich, misogynistic, racist, bully boy. How ever did the Americans vote for him??
He won't come back to the Nuclear agreement because that would lose face. What an utter pig that man is.
Perversely we want something like this to bring it to a head.
But now we have a JV in SA ( where Trump is sending troops and ships as I type) the bod seem to have both bases covered- and with the massive privatisation plans and lower risk, defo prefer SA over Iran. Holiday boring already!!
Good stuff on security audit trail. Will the gov really allow a regional druglord to run this high tech state of the art show?
I think it will happen much sooner than you think. The US sanctions are tough and they are really working - and the people just want to trade. There will be a deal because there is a clear win win to be had for both sides.
The Iran deal will happen when the sanctions are pulled I feel. The UK Iran relations are not that bad and the Government will always want trade. Especially trade that makes the world safer.
Early 2021 for the deal with a Dem in the White House is my guess
agreed DHC, but sadly for wsg the government relations between iran and uk seem to be getting stretched lately reaching a highly tensioned point. will iran cause long term damage to relationships and will wsg never actually get the airport contracts up and running? i cant see it becoming up and running any time soon. could be a dead duck or be years away.
africa contract could surprise a few helping to forget about iran in the time being
So far for the UK ship escorting ability! It's tit for tat, announced in advance. Now I would like to see the Iranian supertanker freed, before Boris comes in power and kisses the orange butt.
APM Terminals: Future expectations for MPS Terminal 3 outlined with Government delegation
MPS has invested over 24 million dollars in Customs Inspection Infrastructure and Superstructure to facilitate the smooth movement of trade. The terminal is equipped with the latest scanning technology, which according to Madam Dorothy Arhin, head of the Customs Unit at the Import Scanner Building, “Has transformed and added value to the role of customs in port cargo handling.” She described the new technology as a game changer to the customs processes for better transparency.
Custom’s revenue leakage eliminated
The new technology is expected to eliminate custom’s revenue leakages and therefore supplement domestic revenue. Mr Samara gave his assurance that, “The new setup provides Authorities with audit trail of all receipt and delivery movements.”
MPS Terminal 3 uses a variety of connected gate technologies including License Plate Recognition (LPR) for reading a vehicle’s number plate, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for recognizing container numbers, integrated weighbridges and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) which identifies trucks that utilize the terminal. Driver access to the terminal is controlled using Biometric Access Control and drive-through Smiths Detection scanning portals automatically inspect trucks, containers and other vehicles, for explosives, drugs and weapons.
The Terminal uses a Truck Appointment System (TAS) that allows for freight forwarders to pre-book appointments before accessing the port. This is fully integrated with the Terminal operating System (TOS) to provide process automation for drivers, eliminate congestion and maximize efficiency levels without compromising on security at the Port.
I caught the same news.
Fortunately we have any dealings on hold and lets be honest there is not one penny attached to the WSG share price for Iran.
Interesting because it suggests this is something that the US would accept to lift sanctions.
"The United States states have rejected an offer from Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif saying the offer should come directly from Iran's Supreme Leader or the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani."

That if you don't buy back what you sold soon then our city friends Robin U Blind, Harvina Laugh and Mickey Taker will be taking them and keeping them all to themselves whilst moving the share price back up higher. That's how it generally works.
If ever there was a share that has been blatantly manipulated (cough naked shorted) down to enable city friends to load up then it has been this one.
Tema is still very much all to play for and staff numbers being trained up is dramatically increasing. Not unsurprisingly - no CC 3% threshold crossing RNS to date says probably dark art forces have had a few over.
Have a good evening.
Ps - you can have my shares for 75p. That's my previous core holding and my recent top ups.
From reading this thread for the last few years I’d say the majority here are investors as opposed to traders. Though I am sure some masquerade as others.
I’m certainly an investor. I don’t have time at work to monitor things hourly, I pick a company and wait until I either hit my self imposed stop or something good happens and I can start to execute my profit taking.
I’d love to be able to successfully navigate the waves up and down but I’d kick myself every five minutes for the next 20 years if I happened to be out when the news broke.
If all goes to plan over the next couple of years this share will fund my kids schooling and maybe some of my retirement. I’d be a fool to even open up the slightest chance that I miss the initial leg up.
Pick a winner, Buy, hold and be patient is what I try to do. Even though patience is sorely tested at times with wsg ??.
Good weekend all!
using the derogatorry teerm bozo tto describe cchambelaain is justified
'Chamberlain's reputation remains controversial among historians, the initial high regard for him being entirely eroded by books such as Guilty Men, published in July 1940, which blamed Chamberlain and his associates for the Munich accord and for allegedly failing to prepare the country for war. Most historians in the generation following Chamberlain's death held similar views, led by Churchill in The Gathering Storm. Some later historians have taken a more favourable perspective of Chamberlain and his policies, citing government papers released under the Thirty Year Rule and arguing that going to war with Germany in 1938 would have been disastrous as the UK was unprepared. Nonetheless, Chamberlain is still unfavourably ranked amongst British Prime Ministers.
back to wsg
5 day chart looks good for getting me back into wsg :'@ 12.25 , already in profit . used lower IG time frames 4hrs and less to pinpoint entry.
it may be tiresome and boring for some .
shame those who have me filtered missed the buy signal
if they wanted to sell the remaining c.3% (and i don't see why they wouldn't - if they wanted to reduce so much then surely they're clearing out their position totally) then i would have thought they'd have had plenty of chance since the 5th of July when they crossed the threshold.
well glad you're having a better day today.
i think you're still over analysing the British comment.....we're in Britain, don't think it's that weird to make reference to British people. Many Europeans find the British approach to be too polite and not saying negative things for fear of causing upset..that's kind of where i was coming from. not that they avoid eye contact to be rude to someone, more they keep their head down and wonder off rather than challenging the preacher to actually back up their rantings.
I actually met David Frost on a few occasions, went to his memorial service as Westminster Abbey. I agree....truly was a British gent.
Betting on an after hours CC TR1 today? Or more left to sell???

might apply to that bozo chamberlain being typically brittissh coming baack from herr hitleer waving that usseless piece of paper but not to decent interviewers/ pressenters/polittical commentators like andrew maarr or andrew neil and the late davvid frost
cantt get more british than the latter 3.
