Enjoy those VOD divs. Your company is paying out 2bn euro in cash then having to try to raise 2bn euro debt in a rising rate environment to keep up with the competition in main market Germany. Can you see the problem with the strategy?
Iāll stick with the company investing back into the worlds most productive factories without needing any debt.
Donāt miss a good market created buy in point. Maybe wait till after Q2 earnings end of July though. Shanghai has been shut most of the quarter. My cash is ready.
I am going to invest Vodafone dividends elsewhere only because I have loads of Vod shares. There are many bargains to be had now hopefully even more in August as Vodafone pays out. Iāll be buying free shares in other cheap companies- something that mole cannot do with non-existent divi from Tesla. People often underestimate the value of compounding from dividends. Iāll be buying some other safe stacks that yield 6-8%, the compounding adds up.
VOD is much safer than your overvalued Tesla.
Teslaās growth is priced in.
As other car makers put out electric cars Tesla shares fall 80-99%. Meanwhile Vod even the dividend is not fully priced in so the advance is with Vod. Your growth dream with Tesla will see you cry.
It is all looking very fragile up to the Autumn as markets fear full on recession. I too am holding back the cash I have. Not selling stuff, but have paused topping up for a while.
Very impressed at VOD's strange safety status.
BT staff voting to strike. Maybe some sort of benefit for VOD, until VOD workers strike.
CSDI, don't think you are getting any special treatment mate, all of mine are getting a kicking, good old Vodafone has saved me from a full sea of red lol, just hold back for a while before making any more top ups, I fear there more to come for several months yet, not sure if anyone agrees ?
sounds good Mikey, will look forward to some of that, just hope I've still got something left in my pension pot lol
Retirement is great - off to wimbledon for a few days on saturday for some strawberrys and cream - oh and a bit of tennis - come on Nadal !!!!
Yes must agree. VOD had good day compared to the market drops.
My only share (PSN) is taking quite a kicking since I bought it at the start of March. Typical CSDI skill.
Have noticed one on my watchlist gone down a lot today - that is SUPR - normally a "steady-eddy" with a quarterly divi that pays around 4.5%-5% p.a.
GLA - C
Well we are lucky it stayed up Mikey, all my other shares have taken a hit today, holding cash back for top ups, but i think it's far too early yet
So how is retirement, i have that to look forward to very soon
Well not a bad day Robleo . Long way to get to my Ā£1.32
who will re-invest dividends in Vodafone again?
I hope it continues standing strong but America is now open and looks to be heading down
standing strong!
Carnage with the ftse and this one is holding up well
Yep think VOD is undervalued defo 140+ not sure about Ā£2 this side of christmas but you never know....Now if Elon Musk said he was interested in VOD this would go up faster then one of his rockets I live in hope.....
Been invested in Lloyds since 2014 soton, not one of my best moves, started at around 65p then ppi/Brexit/pandemic/war etc. all knocking it down, so averaged down around the 2020 Pandemic and is now my biggest holding, may get rewarded one day, hope I'm not too old lol, same with vod, would love too see it get past the 140 and continue towards Ā£2, just need some good luck instead of all this bad stuff keeping everything down, but the dividends will be very welcome while we are waiting
Didn't know you also hold LLOY Rob same as you in that department my second biggest holding after BP.....
Same here soton, we don't have to agree with what anyone posts on here, but i don't see Mikey insulting anyone except in retaliation, and theres always that filter button, play nicely, maybe a better upday tomorrow
Now now children thought with Dan on his hols Mikey would be left alone never mind tomorrow is another day if you don't like what Mikey has to say filter him out I find some of his rantings most amusing ......
Yawn - 67 more than you then Gary ?
Poker, just ignore M68. He has the intelligence & intellect of a child & will not stop with his pathetic depressing comments which he seems to revel in as he just repeats the same thing over & over. The 68 must stand for his iQ.
If i want to waste my time with pointless posts than thats upto me - not you - just ignore them as i ignore yours
Mikeyh68
You have no clue how the markets work, never have and never will... despite having had months or even years to have had time to even learn so ..instead just wasting your time with nonsense postings and moanings
2 broker downgradesā¦..Jeffries & JPM
Well the usual crap from Vodafone - takes weeks clawing up from Ā£1.25 to take 2 minutes to drop right back down again . Talks of reducing debt have as usual gone quiet again and yes that idiot Read is still in charge . Oh well !!!!
