Dan , well you never know mate, just one thing stopping me right now, he still owes me money, and i want it back first :-)
He'll be singing the praises of nasty Nick Read next??
Exactly the same for me Robleo - all my holdings are struggling at the moment, aside from Vodafone. I try to switch off when my portfolio is hit by macro factors, as there is very little I can do, but it's been nice to see Vodafone discreetly moving back up, with another divi incoming too.
Yes, bringing down energy and fuel bills is the key to curbing inflation, and it's not looking like it will get better any time soon!
rob the ramper. Not sure about bullet proof, but I like your positive attitude. Vod needs to break into 1.30+ soon for me to be happy.
Not bad at all Pacino, all my other shares are taking a good old bashing down, and vod is looking bullet proof at the moment, let's hope it will continue and push upwards, just makes you think what will happen from October when they say energy bills will double, quite scary ?

Afternoon all. Vod holding up quite well in this terrible market, so hopefully we’ll benefit when sentiment turns. My rough plan is sell 1/3 at £1.40, 1/3 at £1.55 and keep the rest for dividends. Happy to wait and collect divis while waiting for these targets to be hit!

From what i see most folk still have a fistful of money after sunak gave it all away ...
The big one will be inflation falling but the June reading will still be high. Oil falling hard again today but that won’t show up in readings for a few months. Keeps the worry vibe going.
Meanwhile Heathrow is capping flights to cope with high demand. It’s the best recession we’ve ever had!
Yes moley. We sorely need some positive headwinds.
Euro just hit parity with the dollar. Just too much negative headwinds for VOD or most stocks to make gains over the summer now.
Good start to the week, So come on Gejgaboy, Now I hope you win. Any advance on 1.34?
1.34P
Dan, the law of averages says I'm overdue for a win so may as well go for a big one :-)
Rob the ramper. I hope you win with your very optimistic 1.32. Life's a beach.
Good evening all, might get a few late' ones, but i think most of the predictions are in, It's been a right old roller coaster with the markets lately, so let's hope they all go in our favour this week, and a new high for Vodafone would be very welcome
good luck all

Thanks @Mikey for the article. But hey, what do these professional writers know about VOD and CEOs.
You might even get accused of not liking Nick Read and be asked to find an alternative CEO :-)
For people who don't have the time to read this article here is a snippet;
" Nick Read probably has done some good things - but the list of utter catastrophes under his watch is long."
Hi Dan, totally get that bit, my investment here is part of my pension , ideally i would like a return of at least 5-10% without loss of capital, obviously i have not achieved this with Vodafone due to loss of capital, this of course was down to buying it at too high a price, but of course i wasn't expecting that drop or for the share price to stay down for so long, but the best i can say is the dividend is giving me a better return than the bank, and that i am hopeful that the share price will rise from here, by how much i don't know, if i was convinced there was no hope at all of any improvement in the sp, then i would just sell up right now, if only we could predict the future, nothing anyone says on here is going to affect the share price, I'm sure everyone is fully aware of that, personally i would prefer to be friends with everyone on here, i don't think anyone likes all the bickering, but most of us are guilty of it sometimes, but Monday is a new week, and hopefully a good one
