I will stick at 1.30 my average
I'll go for 125.1. Thanks

Hi CSDI, don't you remember i asked you to keep a record of all the award winners on your database lol
keep on with that drip feeding while the prices are down, and I'm sure you will get rewarded with psn later in the year, i have a few dodgy ones if you ever fancy a swop
come on Dan get back here, I've been posting crap here all week trying to make it look busy, but nobody wants to talk to me, i don't blame them, it's been very stressful you know, so get back i need a holiday now, luckily i had support from soton being the good cop and keeping things calm
Hi Ken, yes i did sell psn before exdiv and i think it was a good call at the time, for all the reasons you stated, reduction in mortgage applications, inflation interest rises, possible reduction in house prices etc, and because i thought i could put that money to better use in the short term, but do think there will always be a demand for new houses, and once i think the share prices have bottomed out, i think there maybe a good opportunity there for growth and good dividend returns, will be keeping a watch on psn persimmon and bdev Barret developments
well done for holding on and compounding on Vod, just need some good news to come through to bump up the sp here
My decision making is often questionable and a 50/50 chance of getting it right ,so please don't any advice from me though
best of luck
Robleo, I've just been running through the psn board and I see you made a good call on PSN same as myself on day before xd by selling up.
I had backrests PSN to calculate what it would do on XD days and it almost always fell much more than the divi payment, also housings getting a beating at moment through various measures, labour, supply restrictions interest rate rise, so decided to take my profit not a lot just 8% and its paid off not to be too greedy.
I am also a holder of VOD bought in years back at 167 could have sold but just left it, as you say compound divis work wonders I'm now averaged at around 65p if you take all the dividends into account so this is a never sell share for rest of my life.
I may add a few more to vod but will never sell as the income on this one share pays for all our holidays.

Ken
Thanks Robleo - nice to have the proper controller back in charge - only joking Dan.
A change from CSDI's usual gloomy prediction - I am going for 130p next week.
Well done to Scratch taking his first gold medal in the comp.
So with 26 weeks to go who will be the top tipster in 2022 - that may take a lot of effort on Rob's part to compile the medals table - he he he - wish I could show a smiley face on here
Cheers & GLA - C
Well done Scratch.....Ok guys will go with the flow and stick to 128.5 for next week GLA......Actually wasn't a bad week for the VOD compared with the rest of the market...
Ty Robleo .
1.27 seems to be the Mark for the last couple of weeks so I will say 1.27 again ...gl all ...
well not a bad week for Vodafone guys, if it holds up like this on a week of ftse battering, will look forward to see what it can do on a good week, nearly got your 128 Dan, but onwards and upwards hopefully

Next Friday close I'm going for 131.2p

Despite my previous downer on VOD, it's notable how it's holding up in this sick market.
All down to the dividends and inflation eroding its debt.
Having said that - let's watch it drop!
Gejgaboy, if you're topping up at a lower price that's a good thing as your making an improvement, i want to do the same, but where is this going next up or down, if only we knew, over to you cheapsharesboy, i know you think it's going up and we. All want you to be right, maybe you can share your thoughts on it
I will re-invest in VOD in the process lowering my average which is currently 143p
Well we all want vodafone share price to rise and the same with tesla, but the reality is, we just don't know, i am a big fan of dividends, and compounding, as growth stocks can just as easily turn into shrinking stocks if you don't call it right, i think the best thing we can do is use that dividend money or spare cash, and take advantage of the reduced prices when they occur, but each to his own
Cheap depends on timeframe in this market. If you have confidence in your target companies product/service And management and can extrapolate out some figures at least 5 years, maybe 10, then you will find many companies with a good chance to return more than 15% compounded in the 5 to 10 year period, which is a great return.
You have to find your own favourites though. As the Tesla discussion proves, pointing out an opportunity only brings out all the reasons it will fail.
Teslas don’t qualify for most subsidies as they have sold too many cars. Excluding credits their profits are still industry leading by a wide margin.
Anyway less Tesla talk now. The point is look into the facts yourself and don’t get them from the media.
cheap companies such as?
Enjoy declining Tesla share price.
Elon is know for equity raise so your share are likely to diluted by 10% again soon I’m sure for “expansion” and whatever excuse there is. And once their electric subsidies disappear so will their “profits”. Maybe then you’ll realise your mistakes
Enjoy those VOD divs. Your company is paying out 2bn euro in cash then having to try to raise 2bn euro debt in a rising rate environment to keep up with the competition in main market Germany. Can you see the problem with the strategy?
I’ll stick with the company investing back into the worlds most productive factories without needing any debt.
Don’t miss a good market created buy in point. Maybe wait till after Q2 earnings end of July though. Shanghai has been shut most of the quarter. My cash is ready.
I am going to invest Vodafone dividends elsewhere only because I have loads of Vod shares. There are many bargains to be had now hopefully even more in August as Vodafone pays out. I’ll be buying free shares in other cheap companies- something that mole cannot do with non-existent divi from Tesla. People often underestimate the value of compounding from dividends. I’ll be buying some other safe stacks that yield 6-8%, the compounding adds up.
VOD is much safer than your overvalued Tesla.
Tesla’s growth is priced in.
As other car makers put out electric cars Tesla shares fall 80-99%. Meanwhile Vod even the dividend is not fully priced in so the advance is with Vod. Your growth dream with Tesla will see you cry.
It is all looking very fragile up to the Autumn as markets fear full on recession. I too am holding back the cash I have. Not selling stuff, but have paused topping up for a while.
Very impressed at VOD's strange safety status.
BT staff voting to strike. Maybe some sort of benefit for VOD, until VOD workers strike.
CSDI, don't think you are getting any special treatment mate, all of mine are getting a kicking, good old Vodafone has saved me from a full sea of red lol, just hold back for a while before making any more top ups, I fear there more to come for several months yet, not sure if anyone agrees ?
sounds good Mikey, will look forward to some of that, just hope I've still got something left in my pension pot lol
