Speaking to the BBC in New York, where he has been meeting world leaders at the United Nations, Mr Johnson said the surge in energy prices was a "short-term" problem caused by "the global economy coming back to life" after the coronavirus pandemic.
Not as short term as all that, according to futures prices:

Again, UKOG produces effectively zero gas.
Therefore it's stating the painfully obvious to point out that It would make no difference to the company if the future spot price for gas was £5 per therm.
Seriously, cheerleaders? I realise that Sando has left you next to nothing to attempt to spin after the ongoing Basur-3 non-event... but future GAS prices???
Little wonder that the directors continue to refuse to buy into the company they're running. They clearly don't believe for one second that it's a worthwhile investment - and let's face it, they'd know better than all.
Some 190ps at the close. Close to a 15% rise on the Jan 22 contract.

BBaggins - it would have made my day if you had said "I was sucked into Gatwick Gusher by that Legolas bloke". maybe it's too soon for jokes. I completely appreciate that those who bought in a few years back will be seething - explains a lot of the rhetoric on here. But I suppose the earlier point I was making that is that if you are still actively participating in the chat, then despite your understandable dissatisfaction regarding performance over the last few years (and rightly so), you must still have some form of hope otherwise why participate at all. I trust that makes sense. Another RNS this month would be welcome as opposed to one every Lunar Eclipse - they have to communicate better on Basur based on their previous RNS. Gla.
Ninetails I’m in a similar position to you and you describe what a lot of real lth are going through.
The next time the “Sanderson out “ starts up make sure you give your vote as it’s important that the salmon slacks turkey face is ousted ASAP . I don’t want this guy to keep picking up he’s inflated salary for doing nothing but destroy lth wealth. I don’t care if we get in Jimmy Krankie to run things , as long as he don’t keep picking up his dosh I will be happy.
WetBandits...Thanks for a civil reply and good luck to you also...
The prices of gas has gone high so this will move back up to 10p +
Well said 9tails, absolute dog of a company. Got suckered into this Gatwick gusher lark about 6 yes ago by that Lenigas bloke, the the no-mark SS got the involved... Got about 150k of these in the darkest corner of a bitoon drawer in the loft. Will never put another bean into this cr@p
Fair enough ninetails - very honest of you to share. Good luck.
TheWetBandits...here’s why I won’t sod off! and here’s my motives... I have been Invested here and continually Investing (averaging down) for over 3 years, and in that time the price has been on a steep downward trend apart from the occasional spike, whilst the ramping has been incessant all the way down with the intention of drawing in new investors, which I dislike and indeed have challenged the 2p and 5p brigade along with 10p Tymers, that have continually predicted imminent large sp rises that have utterly failed over the years, then there’s the top up merchants who continually tell the unwitting to top up today as it is a bargain and you better be quick as this is the last chance it will be dearer tomorrow, with trains leaving the station and rockets lifting off, this has been the same old ramping for years and where are we? Continual placings, Many,Many more shares in issue and more to come with a much depleted share price...So if you can’t beat the rampers don’t join them but take advantage of their unscrupulous behaviour and when they have whipped up enough frenzy sell on the spikes, and when they go quiet and sp drops buy some back, I have only done this once, in the years I have been invested here, and that’s the only gains I have made, But I fully intend to take advantage of the ramping Trolls again, when the time is right, this is not what I invested in ukog for but it seems this is the way it is...and no I won’t sell out and move on until the time is right for me. I originally invested in ukog on fundamentals and what I thought was research(listening to statements from the CEO) with all the hype about the Gatwick Gusher, but now realise this is a pump and dump traders share, not what I originally thought, I thought this was something worth investing in and holding long term and watch it grow, how wrong was I it’s for trading only, the rest is just noise, the management don’t care as long as they keep getting paid and the story alive so as to continue in the lifestyle they have been accustomed to...
And what’s your buy in Cynderlad - please illuminate everyone. You are another moaner so you must have good reason to be here. Surely invested, no?
Yet Ocelot and his mates are still massively down on their buy in at 0.18p+
Excellent. And that's why they call him revolver ocelot. Gla.
UJO has not reacted well to last Friday's RNS in response to market rumours of an equity raise.
By holding steady and, indeed, moving marginally up, UKOG's market cap now exceeds that of UJO.
Ibug - look on the bright side. Here’s one - The Chinese property crisis doesn’t affect UKOG. One of many wonderful things about being in a speculative AIM stock. Although I am sure one of the doomsday lot in here will find a connection. Gla

You forgot to say how long before we get an operational update on Basur. We don't know if they have started the seismic survey yet and the rig is in use elsewhere. At this rate we will be lucky to be drilling at Basur again this year imo. The jam will have gone off by then if you have opened the jar.
I’ve never seen so much negativity after a positive RNS - and the better ones are to come. The question I would ask is - all the moaners (you know who you are) - why don’t you just sell up and sod off somewhere else instead of droning on and bickering in here? Interested to understand what the motives or some people are! Give me strength. :S. GLA

'We might even see new daily production rates reported with 24hour operations at Horsehill now.'
The delusion is strong in this one.......
'new daily production figures'
Can anyone point out when UKOG gave any actual daily production figures - and they've been operating 24/7 with people on site - but of course TH2 knows that, just hoping to catch a few punters who might believe it.
SRBS ,
Not sure what SR stands for but the rest.....
UKOG have licences where they can 'appraise' an undeveloped 'discovery' (some just oil shows) that in most (all?) cases have already been appraised and not developed, plus some minor fields, one shut in, one netting about 10bopd to UKOG and the third - Horse Hill - not producing the hundreds/thousands of bopd expected - but because UKOG remain silent about production we have to wait 3 months to find out Horse Hill is producing about 100bopd with 40+% water cut (in May).
UkOG boasting about unmanned production which will save a few dollars OPEX (there goes promised local jobs) but still can't bring themselves to mention what HH-1 is producing.
Ibug... "gottle of gear, gottle of gear, two pee to four pee, two pee to four pee".
My thoughts too. With the never-ending parroting of ridiculous "jam tomorrow... this time... honest!" predictions by the cheerleading squad who are - as you correctly imply - mere mouthpieces for the company, it does make one wonder exactly where Sando has got his hand up...
It's a race to the next UKOG news between Loxley and Basur.
A nice race to be watching for us investors..... not so much the swampies.
With the recent gas shortage squeeze it only adds more weight to the Loxley domestic gas approval ASAP.
My bet is on Loxley reporting before Basur developments but happy to be surprised :-)
We might even see new daily production rates reported with 24hour operations at Horsehill now.

Investor you must be deep under water with those rambling predictions
Operational update on Basur next. GLA.
gottle of gear, gottle of gear, two pee to four pee, two pee to four pee

I will only now be able to read InvestorInvestor's ramblings in a parrots voice. Thanks :)
This is worse than having a parrot sitting in your front room. London Bus TH2 will be along soon.
