Mog99 ,
The poor bugger had to rough it for a couple of nights in the jungle ha ha, but as he said, a huge and unusually rich find
This is his interview @ Mines and Money last week, Solgold gets a mention @ about 20 minutes, worth a listen to

Why not just filter him as I did weeks ago...what does he add?
Mmmm... I've been tallying the number of your posts mate... I call it the Count of Montecristo.
Anyway this is boring for people so let's stop. If I express an opinion on this board it's is not directed at you; so feel free not to comment on it, thanks .
No excuse for a personal attack or to try to belittle someone. Leave that in the playground. A lot of what I've said is fair criticism. Look at the CEO situation. Lots of very cleaver experienced people would argue its been unexceptable does say people could think of you as nieve
Monte again untrue people like Mathersfinger rcgl2 Copperpot Bozi and many others disagree with my position, but the difference is they show understanding, many are more knowledgeable than me and reason their views out.
Quady
Why do you need to rubbish other people's views?
Is it something about your personality?
I was simply expres

y view. I'm not to bothered what others thing
. You always seem to go on a personal attack when someone thinks differently to you. You are probably reasonably intelligent but lack emotional intelligence and come across as childish
Quady nice and pretentious as usual. I understand things in a different way to you . It just YOU don't understand that .
ssmiith_trader of course people like me understand opportunity costs and markets, I brought at a low price in 2013 because I understood those very things. As you know I don't trade so I take a position and sell to get my money back and make profit, but keep what I consider a serious amount, in order to let this play out.
Monte your posts are always short of understanding. NM and others get less than the market wage, he and others have options which are about to expire. And he gives a lot to charity. So he is not someone who thinks as you describe him. If you truly thought this over the years, you would not be invested today. So it tells me something else about you. You just want a quick return on your money. That's not going to happen for so many reasons.
Quady, as can be argued the people that are supporting Nick don't understand Opportunity Cost. Markets at all times highs. Commodities at all times high and over a 5 year view, SOLG share price has done sweet FA. Unless of course you bought at the lows and sold at the high (of course everyone here did that). A smarter CEO would have provided value, as an explorer by seeking assets/ JV along the way. Nm got greedy and for his own benefit. We are here with the same average share price but with millions of more shares in issue. Pretty poor.
Well said Monte
Absolute contempt for small share holders. Nearly a year without a ceo and no explanation just lies when asked. No news from any of the new drilling campaigns and some on here just defend them to the hilt without a whiff of constucted criticism.
I haven't investigated the rewards, but isn't the remuneration package approved during an AGM? If so people will have a chance on the next AGM to change course regarding out of line rewards.
Handsomely rewarded with mega pay rises and confetti shares, that's the point some other people don't inderstand. There's a fine line between being fairly payed and life style company .
Agreed Mathersfinger if it wasn't for Nick, we would not be in control of Solgold. When BHP wanted 70% of the company for what would be a derisory offer today. BHP would have got their way. Some on here say that BHP was annoyed with the Franco Nevada deal of one percent NSR, but it stopped us being diluted at around 25%.
Nick has been nothing but good for us, and continues to be.
We won't be getting any low bids while he is around, which means no bid, as BHP have said on more than one occasion, there are bargains to be had.
Solgold is not in the bargain basement.
As people often remark lots of news to come, but the next note worthy news I am looking for is the PFS, as then our path will be more understandable. The people knocking Nick are the ones that don't understand about long term investment.
Wow, how quick people turn on others Montecristo. So Nick and his team have been there many years building up this resource and other tenements, not living in a first class hotel as they scoured Ecuador, much physical and tiring climbs, walks through humid and sometimes torrential rain.
No, why should anyone get rewards for firming up Alpala and other resources which is now worth many Billions, yes Billions.
So your shares you bought, you happy with a 10% profit? Why should you get more than that? After so many years investing you look for a good return, now add hard sh*tty work on that and hundreds of meetings etc.
Investing in a explorer takes time, sometimes frustration turns on the one’s that did all they could, remember certain companies would like to take this cheap then issues shares which would dilute us to hell, doesn’t matter to them as they would then own the company.
I think Nick did what he could, no one on here will change my mind on that, anyway you carry on as it’s a free BB.
Atb
Blimey I thought my poison was strong ( Glenmore more)
But clearly Not.

well said Monte. NM has leached on SOLG for his own (and friends) benefit. DGR has been a disaster for shareholders and I for one am glad he got booted off as CEO. Here's hoping there is more to come this AGM that restricts his involvement and hold on SOLG further. Show me 55p!
If you look at the pay increases the board have given themselves over the years and the bucket load of free and cheap shares, I'm afraid to say this has always been a life style company, not to mention Mather flying around the world first class on us, going to every mining conference in the world sipping champers. They have just been lucky enough to have stumbled across a very good asset, thanks to Malcom Norris as apposed to anything the board has done including Mather, you could argue he was just in the right place at the right time. It was not even his idea to go to Equador when they were messing about in the soloman islands.
RK yes you're right 20% was a bit wide of the mark. But if we assume DGR and Tenstar will do what NM wants it's about 17% I think. Either way, it's a decent size chunk of the company so I can't see NM and his associates selling that for a cheap price.
RICH3R,agree , Thursday might be a better day let's see
Do our current board of directors not read this bb and understand shareholder’s concerns and frustrations? A lifestyle company might resonate with some? Is this what this company has become ?
And "the mythical 55p offer" is just that...mythical...
Have you got the maths right there rcgl...?
"he controls about 20% of the company and he has 90 million odd shares personally..."
90 million shares is c4%, so 3.96% as stated on the Solgold website...
DGR Global owns 8.9%
He only 'controls' 16.79% of DGR so he cannot even dictate what they do...
So he has 'nuisance value' and no more...
