Fortissimo. your obviously not aware that the incumbent presidents brother in law, stands accused of being in the pocket of these cartels. and by definition the president is also taking back handers. also its widely reported that the mafia type gangs have heavily infiltrated all government departments.
its also heavily reported that kidnapping and extortion of prominent Ecuadorian citizens is becoming common practice.
I strongly suggest that before you continue to dismiss the problem as a couple of gangs fighting over drugs. you do some research.
if you look back over my response to quads claiming it was a tourist thing, you will see my documentation to back up what im saying.
you will find its exactly the same as I was saying last April, when met with ridicule.
An interesting video of an old interview between Crux Investors and Salazar resources on YouTube. Specifically, the section from about minute five is as relevant today as it was when the interview took place in 2020. It's worth listening to another mining company's perspective on the situation in Ecuador.
The Salazar representative states that mining is 'no longer a political issue' as all parties recognise its importance to the economy and the various social programmes. Personally, I think he's over-stating the case somewhat, but from an economic point of view he's right.
Separately, a few days ago Lasso asked the Constitutional Court to overturn its decree relating to mining referenda. A spokesman stated that the country 'cannot stop economic activity'. Of course, Lasso will be out on his ear shortly, so one wonders what impact his request will have. In any event, Cascabel remains unaffected by the decree.
Bozi, from what I gather it's some gangland battling between main drug dealers. Ironically, it's the export side... eg the Colombian's that are unhappy with some politicians. Bulk of Ecuador is absolutely fine, it's just drug cartels fighting it out as they've had their brown bag brigade disrupted... which happens with every Election or every 4 years.
Ecuador like Colombia and majority of SA is heavily dictated by the cocaine trade that all these countries 'openly' do. The world needs the white powder apparently!
I agree 80p or 100p not to be expected here. 79p possible though.
Bozi. You clearly haven't read our resident experts views on the turmoil in ecuador.
It's just tourist related.
Once the holiday season is over, 80p is nailed on.
Novice is never wrong.
No chance of 80-100p here Novice.
Another high profile murder today. The country is again becoming uninvestable.
I certainly would be uneasy about moving out there if I was Scott. Ballsy.
Nice to hear from you BNC
Hope you are well
Doh I missed shippy and pinot etc
its the alzheimer's
Stack high your 14p prediction is a moment in time stamped for posterity, what will you do now, sell up ?
All of us GLTH have a much higher target of at least 80p to £1 that’s when I will even look to sell. You may be right today but in a few months/years we will be right with all the moons ever so slowly aligning
ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!!!
The resource trade is getting spanked today. Suitors know they are entering the sweet spot now.
Thats BIG mouth Sangha btw lols

Copperpot Grimmy Pad DBW Novice et al...............painful I know, like yourselves, locked away until decent news lands in SIPP & ISA so it is what it is for now...........
One hopes bog mouth Sanga can live up to his rhetoric - however, he's playing with the heavyweights now so the co-ck-y lil tw-erp may well be way out of his depth
And Irwin just seems to be on a political warpath with Trudeau (go figure)........allegedly.........
Wishing you all well folks,

Good.....ta ra in six months (or even longer if you can....)
And give yourself a good tap on the soldiers, well done.
:)
Feb -14p.
6 months later - 14p.
When I suggested this would be the case, I was shot down by the usual rampy twats: red, add, pad, fort, bubble, slug, novice, step forward!
Now everyone can clearly see who was right (it was me, before they try to twist it). Logging out for 6 more months. Will still be in the dumps next Feb, but the rampy twats above will tell you it's going to sell tomorrow. Don't be fooled.
Over a million shares!
Someone needed to buy a second pint.
How much do you get paid Kalneedabari, for each response to your infest-deramp clown comments?
Good to see some of the paid derampers are working whilst on leave... Their output has definitely flatlined which is quite funny
Reported.....hopefully not much to worry.....
And you walking away will restore a bit of credibility back to the board. So please don't hesitate.
Hi Aquinaga, hear hear. We should (all of us) report him for goading and disruptive behaviour (I have). If admin choose to ignore us....I'm prepared to just walk away and forget this board. LSE are just to weak to deal with these kind of eejits!
Good luck to all the decent folk amongst us.
When you say back on track. I will get my bs deflecters out. And bear in mind you was sucked in, with your secret source???????
I have saved myself from the tripe on here and only see green boxes.
Funny how only threads with needless-tripe get removed. I now get disappearing green boxes.
Some people can't help but to get sucked in by the tool. Just ignore the ballbag and get this board back on track.
Then surely by that argument you needn’t post your 10 a day posts highlighting how we are all wrong here in investing and holding and what a poor prospect Solgold is yes ?
Anyone notice any penalty clauses in either of the mining or exploitation heads of terms?
We know we have a degree of protection via the existing IPA, which we are trying to strengthen, but I was wondering whether we or the government agreed to provide the traditional indemnities which are often contained in HoT in relation to failure to complete.
Padmaster, having posts removed, changes nothing. Its as I said. Saying far more about you than me. It alters nothing
