Dbw, I repeat my question. If as you say, nobody is interested, so we will build it ourselves.
If none of the big mining companies with all their experience are not interested,it must be because they must assume it's not viable.
So why do you think solg, who have a record of never meeting a deadline and mismanaging for many, many years, and having absolutely no mine building experience will be capable of taking us to production.
There in lays our conundrum, nobody wants us, and we will never ever be able to build a mine.
All this talk I read on here about multi nda agreements, is all it is, talk on a bulitin board by the likes of highflyman. Pure hot air, I've read it on here for many years. Pure wishful thinking.
My old mum always told me, talk is cheap, believe what you see.
Sp 14p
Copperpot. You my friend are the funniest man on this board.
Most delusional and on another planet, but make me laugh.
Let's hope that if he's credible enough, he can at least spell basic words like misled.
Sorry DBW, I meant to add...my contact said there's obviously regulatory news in the meantime, but nothing major for a while! I'm reading into that "fast and smart" was alluding to the extraction of ore?? He can be very cryptic to say the least. He's never mislead this far on this journey.....let's see what happens?
Hi DBW, yup...you're right. This thing is obviously binary! If no huge offer comes in we start construction... as simple as that buddy. I'm hearing that I need to switch off for a year or so. I asked my contact if there was any change in his comment about news? He said October at the earliest, but prepare for longer. He said there are no offers in the offing!
Read into that what you will buddy?
When will we hear the result of the first round of the election? Ecuador is the sort of place where the votes have already been counted before they start. Much like USA in 2020
Cheers copper , you too. Nice average.
Copperpot
Though we may not agree on who builds it and when, I think
It’s clear that this will be built …. As for waiting…. I guess it is what it is and it’s no hardship as it literally involves doing nothing
4.62 average for me covgaz ........thankfully I'm sitting pretty at the moment. There's many multiples of the current share price if folk have the patience.
Good luck buddy.
Don't be baffled , it may just come good , that's the gamble eh. 27p and I'm all square here. Protect your capital my ass , this is the Stockmarket , billions won and lost every year , it's not just me.
Covgaz, your post is baffling. The first rule of investing is protect your capital, so why are you ignoring it?
Apparently, you're convinced this will fail, so why don't you get out now whist you still have some value?
The second rule of investing is, know when to take your losses. Given your pessimism, perhaps it's time you sold?
Just released story though subscription required if anyone can read and post may prove interesting.
Copperpot, I've just been musing over your post, trying to reassure us.
I've been weighing up your post telling us it's OK because cartels drive cars, buy jewellery and have electricity at home, so everything is hunky dory.
Then on the other hand I've been thinking does the fact they have infiltrated government, murdered and kidnapped politicians and prominent business people, held industrialists to ransom. Running extortion rackets for fun, Caused major cities to have curfews, caused the USA to stop supplying visas to Ecuadorian law makers. And assassinated a presidential candidate.
I can't make my mind up, wether I should be reassured by your post or not.
But if as you say, every country in the world has this cartel problem, I guess your right and it's nothing to worry about
The darkest hour is just before the dawn.
Play the fundamentals, ignore the idiots.
I very much doubt tomorrows election will register on the journey of Solgold. We are sitting on a dog of a stock full stop. We have a problem here no doubt.
This may cost me 32k as I will lose it all rather than sell , I can afford to but won't be nice.
Fast and smart eh....
Yes highflyman
But I repeat, can you provide a link to show several potential buyers hovering around.
The reason I'm sceptical, is as I'm sure your aware, but neglect to mention, is that, many, many, many years ago we were told by solg that 12 majors were hovering, told by the way, by a respected board member.
So unless you can show some evidence to back up your often repeated claim, I will take it with the same pinch of salt I keep for several other posts on here
Cheers 1982 👍
There is no doom or gloom. SOLG are in fine shape. Yes the SP is on the floor but it matters zero to long tremors if the end game is to exit one a bid/offer. The sp could be 25p today. Makes no difference. So could be 35p... makes no difference. To the traders and investors that like to use margin and leverage etc then yes... a higher sp helps with furnishing a suite of opportunity trades/investments. But for most... it's tuck the shares away and wait for the pay day. Noront was 21 cents... doom and gloom and not much going on there. Then in space of a month or two and some bidding and counter bids it ends up at 110cents. The market can price stocks where it likes. But it can't do anything about bids when they are tabled. The market is forced to follow the bid price and mark it up.
I think the importance of the recent exploitation agreements and mine extensions or 25 year mine life term sheet signed... have been conveniently ignored by a few on here. These are key red tape events. Ecuador gov would not have signed those deals unless they KNEW that SOLG were close or in final stages of agreeing a deal.
Finally, I hate to say it, but I do think Maxit et al are keen to realign investor expectations. By having a share price that is flat and boring, going no where fast and at multi year lows will certainly make investors more interested in any deals pitched in the 30's. Previously with an sp in the mid 20's, presenting deals in the 30's would be seen as a failure. If Maxit announced a deal tomorrow at 35p, then the headline would read... SOLG gets offer from XXXXX gifting shareholders a whopping 150% premium to closing share price.
The reality is.. 35p would be a shambles and merely represent a level achieved some 12months ago and well below levels achieved in years earlier.
Remember, the CGP are already bolstered their holdings and got their averages down or weights up with 17p options. That makes a deal in the mid 30's feel more like a deal in the mid 45's to them if not the 50's. And they still have 100m+ shares to gift themselves or their buddies under the ruse of SOLG needing more capital etc etc but that won't strike a cord until Q4. Remember, accounts need to be signed off and auditors like sight of at least 6months cash in hand or in some cases 12months dependent on the business commitments.
I'm unfortunately cynical enough of the CGP crew to think they won't miss the opportunity to line their pockets with a cheap mates rates placing and think they see this 100m CGP shares as their own... not SOLG's. But that's just my opinion.
NAL - Scott is an experienced CEO of a listed company and he knows the rules of engagement as such. He cannot lie to the markets about NDAs being signed, besides he wouldn't risk his reputation at this stage of his career, he has nothingto prove. Sometimes as an investor NAL, you need to join the dots... besides the asset speaks for itself.
HFM.
Nal, indeed we shall.
I think it' s important not to equate slow progress with no progress and no change. It's taking longer than we'd like, but I don't believe for one moment that nothing's going on.
Verify. Not very,
As usual my lack of education is showing me up.
Highflyman. Interesting reply you've just made to adikt.
Just one small point I would mention.
You stated
"however with multiple parties interested"
Can you post a link supporting your claim.
I'm not to interested in what scotty has said, he's a ceo trying to sell the company.
But if you can post something to very this often repeated claim, I would be gratefull
Thanks for the reply adikt.
I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
Completely with all your points add, the election has doubtless delayed things too as there is simply no need for a suitor to move whilst there is associated political risk. My interpretation is that once Perez is out of the running, none of the other political candidates would object to Cascabel being pushed though the remaining permits and into production. Solg management have screwed a fair few things up over the years, but they have done a great job with their ESG programme and winning over the local communities who stand to benefit greatly from Caascabel going to production. Once Perez is out of the way, we're game on, however with multiple parties interested no individual suitor will be in a rush as they know once the first bid lands, they too will either need to enter the bidding or stand back and let the opportunity to purchase this fantastic asset pass them by.
Don't get sucked in by some of the muppets on here preaching doom and gloom as this asset will be kicking out commodities the planet needs for multiple economic cycles and any suitor knows this. Its just a Shame for us we didn't have this strategic review under way years ago when there were far fewer shares and we could have walked away with a better price as '82 has mentioned below.
Keep the faith all. HFM.
Worry not Eloro, there are a few professional offence takers on this forum but that is frankly a reflection of their weakness.
