Good grief we still have people on here who don't understand what an automatic trade is.
Did you know that over 50% of all trades on the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 are automatic trades.
This has nothing to do with any conspiracy theory.
Your homework today is go and look up what an A trade is and try to read about it in some depth, so we can stop having these very silly posts.
All we need now is Bnc appearing with his charts lol.
HH - I'll be the first to apologise if it turns out you are not slug.
So far your posts have been very useful.
Long may it last

Hope I'm not speaking too loud but they haven't unleashed the A trades to subdue the momentum!
GLA
Autobots lost control??,moving up nicely atm
Up she goes .
Actually it’s now fairly light on both sides … no blockers …. Looks like the big move yet to come
Red possibly this week
Hows the book looking DBW...? Or anyone in the know...
Zoros Hubrishunter is not Slug.
Slug is winding you up on advfn.
For starters HH is articulate checks his facts and is knowledgeable.
Slug can never be any of these things because he is Slug.
It is impossible for Slug to be anybody else apart from Slug..
That is why he is so identifiable when Slug uses another alias, because he is so unintelligent.
Also I see DBW is continuing to take snide shots at me.
Typical Slug acolyte.
Ignlore him or filter him HH...
Keep up the good work. You're a breath of fresh air...informed opinion and credibility.
QED....17.46 gone...
Next stop 19..
Then into the 20s...by Friday close...please...?
Thanks all, helpful. Nice rise today, too.
"those that say something is happening are equally wrong."
Bit arrogant, but no surprise there .... how could you possibly know that .... book has changed and I believe news will come in the next couple of days ..... If I'm wrong of course I'll accept I was and apologise ....as am sure you would:)
HH - glad to see you're behaving yourself Slug. Long may it last and congrats on slipping under the radar.....quite clever really.

£68 novice lol!!:)
Nothing to get excited about.
Those who thought this was being walked down are proved to be wrong, and those that say something is happening are equally wrong.
This is just normal trading.
Just look at the volume.
Nice, back into the 20's in a few days :))
Moving up nicely
Noront
more than two parties seriously interested
It feels to me like there is strength in this share...a slow but steady rise, which might accelerate as the week goes on...
While the Industrial Metals sector has gone pretty much nowhere since early August, we have seen SOLG climb steadily since last Thursday...
Now were into the 17s with the next target being 17.50 then 19p with little resistance after that into the 20s again.
If there is a deal to buy the 6.7% in the background it will begin to leak soon, if not already, hence the solid steady buying and the increase in bargain size...
I'm still hopeful that the stake will be sold at a price in the 20s and that will kickstarted not only the SP but also renewed bid speculation...
Then get the merger closed off and expect some fireworks...
It's been a long time coming but I feel were coming into a long home straight now...
And there is no way Nick or CGP would settle for a price less than 75/80p which could be very much higher if an auction develops like Norint. There should certainly be more than w partiescseriously interested in SOLG.
And equally there is no way Sangha, Irwin or Mather would settle for months more drift like the last several months.
It's coming!
Sangha and Irwin have agreed to this deal because they were told we were unable to raise cash in the market and were in danger of failing. This would also bring down CGP meaning their holding was in peril.
Both management teams promised them a disposal or full sale would be initiated the moment the merger was completed and that in fact, certain discussions are already ongoing but are not "oven ready".
In other words, the merger was presented to them as being the last throw of the dice.
Before anyone flies off the handle, I'm not suggesting this is the case, merely that it's a possible alternative explanation for why we are where we are. I'll don my tin hat immediately!
Hubris, your question about why they would sell at one price i.e a lower one, if they know a bid is on the table at a higher price has been puzzling me since the deal was announced.
The only explanation I can think of is that it's being done as a sweetner. However, even then such an arrangement exposes their board to allegations of fiscal impropriety. I suppose their argument would be that they had to sell at the lower price to ensure a deal of much higher value could be concluded.
Whatever the situation, one thing's for sure, this has a good deal of complexity and there are many twists and turns to which we have not been made privy.
DBW, re Sangha and Irwin I agree completely. As we know, they've agreed not to trade the shares (why would they?) but I'm guessing they've also been made insiders.
The AGM notification is looming and surely we can expect a raft of announcements beforehand?
Agree news very close
