Stack you're going to look very silly if you keep posting this uninformed opinion...
Have dipped a toe in today, first time for a while in SOLG looks like an opportunity
Chinese investors- something will give.
GLA Saints
Think we will all be dead before anything happens here. Its well going down back to 10p a share.
I think it depends on what kind of corporate event it is. If a full sale then that might arrive as early as Q1 but wouldn't complete until probably late Q2 at best. If it's part sale or JV etc then could be Q1. 3 months slips away fast in this world.
I'd prefer we had an auction or bid battle going on with various parties than some manufactured Maxit deal. That said, it might take the latter to extract the former.
I'm still puzzled on how they can issue 155m shares based on existing pre-emption rights. Any ideas as that RNS is unclear.
Yep all good Colonel, and for what it's worth I think Stackhigh is wrong. I think we will see transaction announced before Q1 is out next year.
"Fast and smart".
Sharketmare,
I think it best we just await the strategic review and then decide what their plans are from there.
'Time' is the judge and jury here... StackHigh has said no monetisation transaction of note before Dec 23 end. So until we get to that date is not correct with his outlook.
Happy with that?
Fort, without wanting to get overly philosophical, the burden of proof is not on the person who says there is no sale happening. Just as the burden of proof isn't on the person who claims god does not exist.
If you claim something exists or is in the process of happening, the burden of proof lies with you. Not the person claiming the contrary.
Stackhigh,
You or I or anyone out there has limited information. That's why I'm saying you are wrong and you are saying I'm wrong etc. That's fine. That's good discussion. But you are no closer to the truth than I it would seem.
You talk of no sale happening but have no evidence to support that. There is an ongoing strategic review that may or may not result in a sale or asset jv or some kind of monetisation. You have said that this is NOT going to happen before Dec 23 ye.
I'm saying there will be a monetisation transaction.
You have said that there might be a small transaction but nothing major. So we will have to wait and see who's right won't we??
BHP's Attributable profit for the financial year ending 30/JUN/2022 was US$31 Billion = £500million per week. They can put up or shut up. Don't low ball us or play hard-ball, or else the Chinese will have this. BHP can afford us. 17p is a joke. Corporate w a n k e r s
Stack, it seems Bhp is an ageing fighter and we are no longer looking for a showdown with them.
Another words, do one Bhp.
They are moving quickly. Announcement of the completely standard AGM. Further sale of shares at rock -bottom prices for temporary cash. A man in canada swearing a bit.
But no sale, and nothing to suggest BHP will be forced to act. They will be frustrated by how badly run their small investment is, but not prompted to act before 2023 AGM, as I've maintained. So the people who continue to be wrong each day are those who shout into this echo chamber that we will sell soon.
We won't.
I’m not entirely sure BHP wouldn’t walk away if the Chinese bid 40p. I could see that.. I don’t care as someone gets this price to 40 or over.
Hello Broke, long time no speak.
I think you are right.
It's all about fighting the big boys off from getting us on the cheap.
I reckon it's why they are asking all PIs to back them, particularly the right to issue that extra load of shares.
I think they'll use them as a tool to threaten dilution.
It's a clever ploy and for the first time ever, I'll be voting for a company's resolutions.
Every little counts!
Stack you may or may not have noticed but things have started moving very quickly
And fort, your talk of a sale is grounded in hard facts?! Very funny. "Irwin says this" and "Maxit say this" and "I think this". And still we don't sell.
"just say...". I'm not saying that will happen. I'm saying it still won't, despite years of giddy posting here.
Stackhigh
Keep trying, you're wrong again but I'll give you something... you certainly believe in your own words even though they are unfounded and baseless.
Stack …. Just say the Chinese or another weighed in with a 40p bid and somehow it was recommended…. You say BHP would simply walk away ?
Not a chance imho these resources are very few and far between
We don't generate revenue, so royalty deals and sales like this are to generate cash. For the running of the business. Otherwise we fold. That bit is simple- we always need cash, right up until the day a smelter pays us for some gold or copper.
Broke: that's an interesting take. Do you admit that one of the fighters in your analogy is the heavyweight champion of the world (largest MCap) and on is an unproven fighter who, in the build up to the right, showed promise with one big punch and a few little ones? In other words, BHP still won't be forced into a bid, no matter how much people here hope for it.
Ray …. With regards to Solgold BHP will most certainly be on the back foot now
Rest assured bhp/ncm will not be bullied by little solg..
