The problem here is that the woke have been allowed to move what was centre ground to the far left and have done so virtually unchallenged.
Anyone who thinks Johnson is right wing has a very poor understanding of politics. In much the same way as anyone thinking the Liberals are liberal.
I wish Boris was actually right wing! But anyhow, Solgold...
There is a growing problem with literate right wing orators being being confused with humane, intelligent people.
Our current pm is a case in point.
Just because someone who was probably paid less than the deserved taught you a few flowery words doesn't make your quotes from one of the worst US presidents before Trump, valid..
Is there any chance you could pop off to where you had your recent holiday from the board phlem?
Well my lovelies, I's always been a very humble voice on this board, ain't ever tried to tell you anything than what my old crayons and graphs and Elliot Wave Theory starter kit tell me, and I tries to do it in a humble way, but it's clear that some of my comments pertaining to my old lady has upset a few of you, and that sits very heavy on my heart that does. It has made I think. My wifie ain't the prettiest, or the cleverest, and she ain't someone you would trust with a debit card anymore than an expensive motor, but she has been the mainstay of my life she has, and I loves her more than I loves a good steak and ale pie washed with a pint of Westons Vintage 8.2%, and i would walk over hot coals for that woman as much today when she is long, long past her best, than the first day I ever met her. Now I'm sorry if that kind of happy marriage offends some of you modernists on here, but if that puts me in 1951 rather than 2021 then so be it. As I looks around I don't see 2021 to have much to recommend it to be honest.
Post of the year. Couldn’t agree more schlem
It’s not pertaining to Solg, but that schlemiel, is very well expressed and very true.. unfortunately
We can all hope
He's yanking your chain. Can't you see that?
We appear to have entered into a Pavlovian nightmare (offence culture) in which all comment is deemed intolerant, offensive and criminal if it doesn't conform to the rules of a neo-Marxist culture.
Huamn Identity is the key now used to regulate and control speech, culture and history. Power now rests with those who take faux, contrived offence as an act of politics against those they desire to silence.
Of course when Bobbit had his **** chopped off everyone thought that was so amusing simply because the victim that was mutiliated was deemed to have deserved it virtue of his gender, sexuality and hue. We are the now the prescribed enemy and everyone else of a victim of what rancid feminsts refer to as 'patriarchy'.
I always invoke the horrors of the real world to expose the hypocrisy of these progressives (regressive fascists) and their true agenda which is nothing less than the complete remodelling of our world according to their warped ideology
Human instinct is libertarian and compassionate. Progressive instinct is political, oppressive and imposing.
It was Ronnie Reagan who said 'Fascism will come to the US in the name of liberalism'. Well, that day has arrived. He may have been a bit part actor but his portentious claims have been borne out
Freedom of speech is more important than life itself as it helps us to expose the horrors and abuses committed by the State and evil people. That voice has been removed under oppressive laws to protect the party political vested interest
We are now at the mercy of a racially and gender infused dystopian culture.
I'd rather be dead than live under such circumstanes.
Am long as the Italian, till £1:32 then I'll top slice and buy cusn
BBG, I am very long SOLG, even after selling some at the beginning of the year. Not sure I want to add more, with this volatility probably more responsible to diversify.
Looking for a lower entry Italian?
Hi Italian - agreed on 1) - it was always going to fall back from high 30s in the absence of good news, I just thought it would bounce up and down in the 30s... although external market forces obvs came to the fore.
On 2) I'm still hopeful of a decent payday if Solg can produce a cracking PFS in conjunction with a good MRE for Porv... Even with this new entente cordiale, I doubt the big holders of CGP like WI and Bob Sangha are going to want to see Alpala or Solg itself slip away on the cheap, and neither will the other big holders of Solg aside from BHP.
It's a brilliant call by Snuggtopz but posters bicker not because they're of an immature mindset but because a falling price can trigger stress and worry. I just want a pay day to make my life more secure and I suspect so do many others and not just on this stock either.
It's circumstantial. If you're struggling financially and holding stock that's falling it can be a proper head-fecker
rcgl2, I had the same reading and didn't expect a drop below 30p, but if I may interject, I think we are just witnessing the combination of two events:
1) a market that does not go up eventually comes down as there is not sufficient momentum to sustain a price level, so we are just yo-yoing as we wait for something truly material to happen;
2) this welcome peace with CGP probably just really means that we are waiving the white flag to BHP as NM failed to impose his belligerent agenda and that comes at a cost to us because BHP will not want to pay the high prices we like to talk about here.
Just my opinion of course. I have given up on the £1+ target, happy if we see 45-60p at some point as things are.
Hi Snuggtopz - out of interest, when you called 28p a little while ago, what were you basing that on? At the time you made the call my very limited charting ability suggested Solg was in an uptrend channel that peaked on 3 June when you called it, and should have found support around 30-31p if the lower bound had held. I don't think anyone was expecting the Fed's comments this week (which I actually think are fairly meaningless and about as far from hawkish as you could get without being dovish) to suddenly trigger a huge unwind of the inflation trade in 2 days, which seems to be what hit PMs and miners hard and knocked Solg down through the previous support.
Either way it's all short term noise, 28p or 33p today is kind of irrelevant to me in the long run. Just interested to know what you saw that led you to predict 28s again? Thanks.
here we go again, it gets very tedious watching the kids bicker every time the SP drops. some people kick off like clockwork on a down trend
