End of August / Summer ????
Although I am still 100% convinced that SNG will produce the goods and that no doubt within the company RM is doing a great job and is extremely busy there is absolutely no excuse for giving specific deadlines and not keeping to them.
At the end of the day however many shares we hold, we are all owners of Synairgen and are not out of order demanding good solid regular communications and updates.
Come on RM treat your shareholders with respect and not contempt.
What are you on about? End of Summer was the COPD results, which we have had?
Really?? The only news that we have had is that the COPD project is on hold.
Can I assume that you are satisfied with news stream coming out of HQ because myself any many others aint
I get the “patience” and “no news is good news” view, but it’s a bit wearing atm !!
The RNS on 8th Sept was clear in that Synairgen announces positive data from interim analysis of SNG001 trial in COPD patients.
- SNG001 well tolerated in this older population with a significant co-morbidity (COPD)
- Strong interferon driven antiviral biomarker response
- Data support future progression of SNG001 for exacerbating COPD patients
- Positive data supportive of SNG001 COVID-19 programme
Only then did it say it was putting the COPD focus on hold temporarily to focus on utilising SNG001 as a treatment for COVID. This was temporary.
The value for using SNG001 for COPD is still huge.
Takenorisk, yes RM said COPD is on hold but that wasn’t the only news. He said they weren’t going to go galloping down the COPD route, as Covid is the priority right now.
COPD interim data was presented which gives more efficacy and safety data and a subtle bonus in the results of SNG001 alongside a steroid.
I’m confident of more news soon.
News, Good,Bad or indifferent will come when there is something to report, If you haven’t got the patience to wait, Worried it’s bad news or are over exposed then press the sell button.
this isnt tils where you get a pointless rns every 2 mins. richard said in the video patience and hopefully good news soon just as he did when we were all patient before and were rewarded with 500% increase. doesnt help the pain of seeing huge amount of cash go down on days like yesterday but am still fully in and confident.
None of us expect daily updates but when you are specifically told dates by the CEO or by the Company by email that (nearly weeks ago) news is imminent you expect that to be adhered to.
The RNS in early September however you dress it up was not news in any way shape or form as we have known for months that the treatment works for COPD and that Synairgen were concentrating on the COVID side
Wow. it looks like some folks are organised to short this thing. You make me mildly sick.
- Lansdowne sold because they had to, having lost 42% of their fund
- There remains no evidence the strain has changed or got weaker
- COPD results were good, supported use in COVID and gave us very valuable confirmation of use alongside steroids.
I think I'm going make a list and check it twice.
@TommyD19
Landsdowne had their own reasons for selling, nothing to do with SNG. They needed the cash.
takenorisk the whole point of the last rns was to prove the drug was safe for covid which it did - you should do some research if you are a genuine holder
TommyD makes a fair point. It seemed at the time like Landsdowne were hanging on in case things were expedited but eventually caved in.In retrospect maybe they were clued up about the timelines and bailed for that reason...
I'm not in a hurry however so am not concerned if this takes a month or so longer.
Org30 confirmed beyond any shadow of a doubt as a shorter. How sad.
Lansdowne had no choice, they did not maintain liquidity
Hold onto your hats.! Strange there's been no updates regarding the home part of the trial, they definitely held back on the COPD Interim analysis results. I expect the newsflow to resume before the end of September.
Org, you may be subtle but you aren't good enough. You have posted your argument that the strain is getting weaker, without a shred of evidence, more than 10 times. You have posted that you've been told this by a pilot friend, you've posted that you play golf with a member of the Sunday Times Rich List, you've posted that you're concerned our CEO does not have sufficient business experience. You continually post that BBs have no effect in a company with a large proportion of PIs. Your holding, if you have one, may be inconsequential. Others are not. Your BS is calculated.
79% of the covid19 patients would not be in this state
https://twitter.com/farid__jalali/status/1308312171923685376
100% of patients who die probably didn't need to die.
79% of patients leave hospital early. No other drug has such a good result
No sense pontificating on the mistakes made, most of it will come to light in the inquiry
"The odds of progression to severe disease were reduced by 79%" is accurate and statistically significant.
No 'excuses' are given, merely theories. At least Parsley is open about his short trading :)
That's my bit done for now, I've got some other work to do. Beware the fools.
Best wishes to all shareholders.
All this sustained de-ramping has goaded me into action. There can be only one reason why some people like to spend their time arguing against a share and tell us all that it is all going wrong. They are unlikely to be the caped crusaders of investment, sent to save us all from a falling share price! More likely they are trying to induce negative sentiments for their own ends, otherwise they would simply sell their holdings and find more interesting things to get on with.
I've topped up, very happy with the 170 price too.
Thanks.
Sorry for such a long post, but I've been sitting on the outside for some time now...
I put my faith and money in Synairgen many months ago. In the early days we had lots of research data, including China’s excellent January trials with INF on its front line medical staff. Should any doubt remain look behind the so called ‘curtain’ and check out China’s collaboration with Cuba. Cuba has an impressive pharmaceutical record and is producing its own treatments.
Cuba has a population over 11m and its reported death tally for Covid19 stands at just 115. Their own treatment is ‘Cuban interferon alpha 2b’ developed over the last 30 years.
The SNG001 treatment is best used at the start of infection, so we’re all expecting the home trial results to be better than the hospital trials…. but my dilemma is how easily big pharma has managed to write off hydroxychloroquine, and are they doing the same with SNG001, for them it’s all about the vaccine. I don’t think it unreasonable to assume that individuals with the expertise and recognition required to peer review our results of nine weeks ago are in some way indebted to big pharma, hence no publication.
Since our results big pharma have tried to rescue their own therapeutic Remdesivir by prescribing it together with INF, although nowhere near as good as SGN001 it will have a positive effect.
All governments across the UN appear to be doing and saying the same thing, and seem unable to push therapeutics, only vaccines. The delay in getting SNG001 out into the market place is going to cost many many lives. How is the knowledge of SNG001 best put into the public domain? Maybe the embarrassment will force government to act sooner rather than later…
GLA & DYOR
Tommy... whilst I agree with most of what you say, I would hope that we are much further along in "negotiations" than your post suggests !! GLA
