J_CIT.... you are living in a bubble if you think this is close to over. In England we have incredibly relaxed covid rules, so I can see why you may be deluding yourself. I am currently in one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, everyone is wearing a face mask, OUTSIDE, and not just the normal one, one that is 10 layers thick and uncomfortable. Walking into a restaurant last night the girl behind me was turned away because her green pass wouldn't scan, same happened at a museum. I have to be here for work, but I can't wait to come back.... it's all just too difficult.
“How many >50% efficacy drugs have come to market now for COVID...”
None!
The FDA has fully approved 1 drug. 14 have EUA’s the majority are MAB’s in outpatient setting. There certainly is no drugs that are approved for Covid with moderate to severe disease in the hospital setting that has 50% efficacy.
All these amazing drugs doing wonders for the US at the moment.....
The end game is surely commercialisation or buyout. Both scenarios will dwarf any ‘hype spike’ we get on P3.
Wishing for some doom and gloom to pump up the overshoot is something that should only interest those wishing to trade I would have thought…
I can understand JCIT’s point a bit. Ultimately, the SP will find its true level. But in the short term, if it’s real doom and gloom with Covid, then share prices can, and invariably do, overshoot massively. I don’t doubt that unless we are taken over, the SP will settle down some way below its highs.
JCIT your commends display not just a profound lack of knowledge about SNG and the potential market for it, but about markets in general.
Apple was not the first to bring out a smart phone
Tesla was not the first to make electric cars
Monster was not the first to make energy drinks
And yet they are all massive companies whose market caps of many many multiples.
There is always space in the market for something that is good, or effective, to make an absolute fortune. Timing isn’t all that important and as pandemic becomes endemic, the need will still be there.
SNG001 is a broad based antiviral so one would think many countries will want to stockpile a number of treatments. Let’s not forget pharma will be interested in COPD and more safety and other data will only strengthen SNG’s position.
A few of the companies I invested in have increased more than 100% in a day during the past year.
Most of them weren't covid related. You don't seem to know what you're talking about J_CIT.
J_cit - for hospital use, zero drugs with over 50%.
You clearly have no clue
NOTE - when talking about daily increases of >100%s, I was referring to share prices of companies - Not synairgen
Quite simple - It would be worth less because 6-12 months ago, COVID was a situation that alot of people/countries could not see a way out of - I believe people are now in a position where they can see an 'end' to the pandemic.
Like with all business, timing is key and the slower it takes to get to market, the less of a market share you have.
I'd be over the moon with any sort of range that is >£5 per share, but I don't see it from here. Gone are the days of >100% increases that were a daily occurrence 12 months ago.
I have no doubt results will be positive, but the longer they take, the less impressive this will be seen - How many >50% efficacy drugs have come to market now for COVID...
Its all good. We wouldn't be here if we didn't believe the results will be positive. It really is any time now. I don't think the USA being on a public holiday would dampen the news flow though.
Exciting!
Don't forget either that they have this huge and very experienced comms team now and this news will reach headline news globally especially in the US.
Skippy, you could be right, we’ll never know. Although it looks like it won’t be today.
They could easily delay the RNS by a day. They could say they were completing some final checks on the data or whatever. I just see it being better if the US is open on the day we announce. They will likely be our biggest market, have financially supported us and I think US investors piling in could create some serious momentum.
Either way, we are one day closer!
No chance that SNG will sit on results for any reason including US market openings and holidays. They will issue the RNS same day (or following morning) they have established the top line results. Holding it breaches AIM rules and puts everyone in SNG at risk of looking like they may be involved in insider dealing. The only hold up will be internal compliance and messaging of the RNS content which they will already have ready to go covering all of the likely outcomes.
I do find it frustrating that they’ve inoculated half the world withvax that isn’t finished ph 3 trials.
But our drug isn’t getting any of those fastrack privileges , strange given that the interferon is a naturally occurring substance as well
Morning guys, totally understand the logic of a Monday RNS for readout having maximum impact, but given the context, I think we will have it as soon as they are ready and they won’t delay by even a single day if the readout is ready for market. The earlier part of the week is of course more favourable but in the grand scheme of things a good readout is making headlines regardless and the market will digest it in time.
Spot on @Matml74.
That will be our USP. The breakthrough drug that will allow the world to move on and live with covid.
Oh, and don't forget it will also allow the world to even better live with the Flu, COPD etc. etc.
"BTW, invested since 1906."
Lolz....
“ Anyone find it increasingly frustrating that we are still waiting for P3 results”
NO
Zero logic in that post. “Preparing to live with it”’doesn’t mean that people are going to stop catching it, end up not being able to breath and end up in hospital. If anything having a really good treatment for those who get ill is the most important bit of “preparing to live with it” and makes the drug a more valuable commodity not less.
3 mins before open. Pretty obvious their intentions are.
J CIT
Did you watch the Senator meeting the other day? The discussion was all around preparation for the next variants and stockpiling.
I have read somewhere that we have an agreement with a partner who is advising and supporting our potential use in the US, in the first instance!
Remember, that there are also 245 variants of the bat, as stated by SSH.
Why do those trying to sow negativity and doubt feel the need to prove their credentials "BTW; invested since April 2020"?
Investing in a company doesn't prove anything, it certainly doesn't mean you are cleverer than anyone else!
Making stupid comments about lowering the buyout displays a complete misunderstanding of the dynamics of this drug and it's prospects. That bit does display a level of ignorance.
J_Cit - why would it be worth any less interested to see how you would attribute value to SNG from various stages of the pandemic.
Personally the most lucrative market for SNG is the US telemedicine market after the height of the pandemic has passed.
I don’t think a year or two during the pandemic really effects the value, SNG has a long future ahead of it.
Don't panic - the government are already preparing the next super-duper variant to knacker our Easter. They're going to call it the mEGGertron variant...
I'll get my coat...
