Low points incite angst and uncertainty...eespecially on a loss. And incite all sorts of wrong and sometimes correct speculation. We have Levi on his first ever post saying “ buy now as it’s gonna fly!!” First ever pist probably means a plant or just an idiot.
People who are worried.
People who are very attached and confident.
Mm’s prey on uncertainty. It is not just Lansdown selling. I said this at beginning of week. The no-mans’ -land time is the time to set off stop-losses and worry the punter into selling. Nothing has changed yet again!! Apart from Lansdown shedding shares. No hint of need for funding . Certainly not before results fgs.
It is the sagging of a share price which has a delay. What has changed?? The trials and the drig have not. USA and Brazil and now India are in massive need of a treatment more effective than drinking disinfectant.
Shares are manipulated and not just supply demand.
This is one of those times.
Like I said last week -although I did notcexpect so low so soon-hang in there as nothing has changed except a shorter time to results.
There is no evidence whatsoever except scaremongeringabout a Placing. I have had more than 20-30 Placings. V . Unpleasant at times. But right now would be ridiculous!!
Surely they should know what cash they would need to complete these trials before the last placing. And if they knew they would need more, then would have taken advantage of being heavily over subscribed wouldn’t they ? I for one would be very disappointed if they came to the market again so soon, it would indicate to me complete ineptitude if that was the case, especially if it was below 35p.
Crookie3640,
I never said that WE would get an update in June on the COPD...
I said that Synairgen should receive the interim report in June ....
We can’t be sure, we don’t know the costs involved so can’t rule it out completely although I think it’s unlikely. I hope your right on the COPD element and we get an early update on the interim results in June.
Crookie36340,
I don't think we should put it to bed just yet , even though I would prefer to do that .
I had excluded the need for further funding whilst doing my initial research but now I am not so sure ....
I am not one to put on a blindfold just because I am invested ...
As Ghia rightfully said a P3 trial will cost a lot and therefore we would hope that à pharma will sign up to pay for this .
I had anticipated that the 14 million was sufficient to see us through these P2 trials but now I have some doubts .
I cannot logically say that we will have another placing before the end of this trial but neither can we exclude it , imo
If there is a placing to allow a partner to take a stake in the company, that will be well received by the market but if it's any other type of placement .....
In biotech investing , I have learnt to expect the unexpected :-)
Not sure a placing is likely given the below:
Placing 2020
COVID-19 clinical trial activity (GBP7 million)
Results 2019
Research and development expenditure for the year amounted to GBP3.46 million (2018: GBP3.23 million) and the majority of this expenditure was on running the IFN-beta Phase II clinical trial in COPD.
Roughly 3.5 million to run the trial in COPD similar for Covid? Budgeted 7 million scope for hospital and home trial.
Placing 2020
Strengthened balance sheet for potential partnering discussions, working capital and fees (GBP3 million).
Results 2019
At 31 December 2019, net assets amounted to GBP2.25 million (2018: GBP6.03 million), including cash and bank deposits of GBP2.45 million (2018: GBP5.33 million).
Combined that is roughly 5.5 million. If the trials went over budget there is scope here. Partnering Discussions, Partnering Discussions, Partnering Discussions, just saying.
Placing 2020
Manufacture of SNG001 drug product and other supply chain considerations (GBP4 million);
Results 2019
Data from the hospital trial will read out during the summer, and, if positive, the Company will work closely with regulators to determine an expeditious route to securing approval for SNG001, a treatment we believe could play an important role in addressing the current COVID-19 crisis and similar viruses in the future. In parallel, the Company is now working with manufacturers to scale up for potential demand for SNG001. The outlook for the business is positive and we look forward to updating the market on further progress in due course.
Making use of the 4 million to be ready to meet demand, skip stage three trials if given the green light?
Can we put the placing theory to bed it’s late?
Ghia - your very close. I just don’t like to think us pi s are being kept in the dark. With this constant and steady fall. I m thinking that we are. Whatever their company policy is. I m not having that Lansdown totally bailing is a good thing.
Miggy - I m a Jameson’s man. It’s in the genes.
Sounds like you need a top-up Duble D,
May i suggest a Vespa Martini,
3 ounces gin (Gordon's)
1 ounce vodka
1/2 ounce dry vermouth (Lillet)
Garnish: lemon peel
:) Cheers!
DubleD - If I understand correctly you bought in anticipating a rise into results and looking to offload without exposing yourself to the risk of waiting for the results to land. I'm sorry that the Lansdowne et al debacle has laid waste to those plans.
It's probable you will still see a strong surge prior to results and since the hospital has now completed recruitment the timer is very much ticking.
Perhaps tone down the negativity a little bit I understand the disappointment but perhaps put these in the bottom drawer for a few weeks and check back in you might be pleasantly surprised.
DubleD- Come back in a few months.
Enough said.
Shrunken - How do you know it’s not true? Prove it. There is something going on behind the scenes here that is pi s don’t know about. The sp fall is just steady and constant.
And I ve read some crap on these boards the last few weeks. Everyone is constantly topping up. You lot must have crap averages.
DubleD, you are aware that that is the whole point of companies subscribing to a share placing?
DD, buddy, none of what u said is true... sng arent confident in their product, then they raise money so II could sell the placing shares lol what other conspiracies do u have?
Got a Question on the last placing. Why did Synairgen allow Lansdown to buy placing shares knowing they would dump them almost immediately??? That would say to me Synairgen didnt have confidence in their own product.
