Dave - very interesting. Look at the Uk graph and its looks weirdly like our share price graph! Clearly shows internet aligns with share prices.
I give you 6 goat for wife
It may be a coincidence, but the recorded time of that 3m trade was just after 7.30am on the West Coast of the states. (California is home to Acacia and also Gilead...) Just a thought...
That would greatly depend if the information shared was market / share price sensitive. An NDA as an absolute minimum would need to be signed, but you would also need to be added to the insiders register once within a closed period. I've had to go on the insiders register quite a few times, even though the work I was doing was outside market hours! Slightly paranoid on the part of the Financial institution I was working for, but better safe than sorry! They use algorithms to detect any irregularities in trading patterns and if they smell a big rat they can quite easily track it back to the source of the leak. Smaller trades are less likely to raise suspicion, but if its over a prolonged period or appears to influence the market they could decide to track back.
Haha you guys keep your money in here, don’t want the sp dropping any more!! She’s called a ‘rag’ -Rugby equivalent of a ‘wag’ but a little less ‘waggy’!
I get that capital but we all know it happens. If discussions have been taking place behind the scenes with a partner and then the partner buys up some shares is that illegal? I’m not sure
It was ‘sell’ but I may need to ‘tell’ her first!!
It's very doubtful he'd do that. If it was traced back (and it could be) he and whoever owned the shares would be staring down an insider trading charge and that could result in a nice ankle bracelet at the least to a while at her majestys pleasure as the worst. Oh and likely disqualification of directorship for a long time too...
Think the 3m+ was an offload but i assume all the big buys were by one party.
I shan't put in a bid without a pic...
Are we sure the 3m was a buy? I thought it was assumed to be a sell?
I personally hate the image of Richard letting slip and being sneaky like that. He comes across as a real genuine individual.
CW23 - wasn’t sure if that was a typo? “Sell the wife” or “Tell the wife”....?!
As an ex-sportsman your mrs is probably an upgrade on mine....how much you starting the bidding at? ;)
Forgive me if I’m wrong but surely any II or big PI who is buying 3m+ shares now must have had a chat with Richard. You just wouldn’t buy that much on nothing but a hope and a prayer that results are successful. I do feel this may be the start of a deal that is being put in place behind the scenes. God I would love a TR1 with a big pharma on board prior to results! I may just sell the wife and go all in!
My target is a slightly higher than a market cap of £183 million. If the trials prove successful I think letting the share go for £1.50 would be premature.
Miggy,
Stop being a greedy b*gger :-)
Hopefully trial results are positive, they won’t be able to contrive anything then as market forces will do the rest. They won’t be getting my shares in the 40’s, 50’s or 60’s. They can pay me £1.50 minimum.:).
I don't believe it's necessarily contrived as such. More that a larger buyer came in (hence initial rise) which then prompted a fall (presumably Acacia - who must have said they're happy to offload at 42p or above) and then the rest of the day the new large buyer spent buying up all their stock. If this continues, not only may some people get their wish (Acacia gone before news), but you might also have a nice new large holder.
And it appears they were still buying into/after the close.
Normal recent volume lately had been not a great deal more than 500k.
Even if you quadruple that for today for the few PI's who will have jumped in....that could still be easily over 5m shares sold by Acacia today and bought by the mysterious share gobbler.
Be interesting to see if we get any TR-1s in next few days.
And another 37.5k bought after hours....they just should just get on the phone to Acacia and take the lot in one go :p
And the sell price ticks up again...
Sell price has ticked up twice now and buying continues.
Nothing but blue for the last hour, volume up, price nailed to the floor. Better buy some unless there is a MONSTER sale in the back ground. buys are still below 42. Most odd.
