RE: Vaccine will NOT be the golden bullet28 Sep 2020 14:57
This opinion piece In New York Times late last week co-authored by Dr Eric Topol who mentioned Interferons and SNG recently in a video, also calls into doubt the way that the main vaccine candidates have been allowed to design the developments. There are a number of blogs appearing in the US featuring the flaws and how they could easily leave many patients open to the severity of the virus
Good to see you Nolupus - and still holding strong! It does have a deja vu feel to all this doesn’t it. However, the fundamentals remain strong and in this case the lack of noise to me would always suggest that something ‘big’ is building in the background - pieces of jigsaw being slotted together - whilst data is king, patience is golden!!!
Org / Seb - I’m still here and haven’t sold a share, in fact have topped up quite a bit since July! I do understand your concern over delays, is the virus weakening etc. However, do you think that governments can really gamble on widespread availability of an effective vaccine, or that the virus won’t hit as hard into the autumn / winter season??!! Surely, the most natural decision is that they will be prudent and look to take supply of what effective therapies there are in addition to the possible vaccine supplies - that’s what I find compelling about SNG001 - it’s effective, it’s safe and has a shelf life of 3 years. That is true risk mitigation - our Govt would never be forgiven if history shows that they had the chance to cover the risk and passed it by. That’s why I’m still in - original research was good and I really valued the input from likes of Sharesting, CW25, Nolupus, Miggy, Ghia, Richthe newbie etc - however lately this BB has been too much bickering so personally have migrated mainly to Nobbygnomes Guild over at ADVFN as its well moderated. I wish you luck and hope you stay confident with your holding when you’re away from the golf course!
Click on the authors name - look at what else he peddles, click onto his LinkedIn profile.....then form an opinion. Or if you’ve got a coin in your pocket take it out and call heads or tails....and you’ve probably found an equally valid way to call it!
Great to have caught up with all the research and thinking over the last 18 hours or so - some really good quality material so thank you all....and good to see that all the name calling from yesterday morning evaporated through the day!
Graking - it suits my purpose because I know that in the COVID read out for SNG treatment the mean age was 57.8 and median age was 58.5 and for COPD mean was 67 - data available from company presentations on their website
Pretty obvious that this is a tactical RNS as is the COPD interim results - required to bolster evidence of safety, which it has done. RM can now point regulators to 3 trial data sets....this now paves the way for EUA for Covid 19 which is what shareholders are waiting for. RM also suggested that there will be ‘news on news’ so don’t think we will be waiting too much longer!
