Key comments from the Proactive Investors report for me;
What the boss says: Richard Marsden, chief executive
"We are very pleased to have generated patentable findings for our wholly-owned inhaled interferon beta candidate,
SNG001, in both COPD and COVID-19 patients."
"Whilst recognising that the COPD trial data provide a strong rationale for assessing SNG001 in COPD patients with
severe viral lung infections, our immediate priority is to progress SNG001 as a therapeutic for COVID-19. Together with
our advisors we are working to protect the value of this drug for shareholders and commercial partners over the longer
term."
While there is bound to be a good level of volatility in SP in the near term and perhaps a high level of disappointment for some, I am sure RM is working hard behind the scenes to mean what he says.
Venrock and Tikvah's large buys at +200p level is not really going anywhere unless they are in it just to trade short term, which I doubt will be the case and it is really a matter of patience before the next value move breaks out.
Apologies if already posted: https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/219796/synairgen-focuses-on-chronic-obstructive-pulmonary-disease-candidate-supporting-coronavirus-programme-219796.html
Temporary ceasefire.
Com909. Your comment showd your lack of understanding. If you think any government approves any drug on the basis of a Peer Review, you should probably give up shares. Governments around the world conduct their own evaluation with their own experts in that field. A Peer Review adds nothing to the value of the company it is merely confirmation or dismissal of the claims made.
Stop posting nonsense and I'll stop disagreeing with you. Deal?
As always, you make rather a lot of false assumptions Org.
One might even think you were trying to be scary!
I do appreciate that some find intelligence quite threatening.
Perhaps give 5Live a ring and let them know the nasty man made fun of you.
She could drop further. This current reflection is obviously against ones outlook hence opinion of strong buy . I expect further drops in the market, imop Ftse 100, dropping back to 5000 again.

The cult of evidence-based policy is very much open to all.
Present your evidence, and we shall discuss it openly, in good faith :)
You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave :)
"We have the only effective treatment " for the moment... but with more jumping on the vacc. bandwagon , we need to make on now. Still, I've just topped up at 169. to get my av. lower.

The worst thing about this falling share price is failing to be disciplined a few weeks ago and putting the last of my allocated money for synairgen in then! At this price it would be good both for LTHs and for a trade as we're likely to get some serious buying pressure soon...
RM never actually provides solid timelines.. and the original trial results were due end of June...arrived 22 July...however I always take what RM says and add 8 weeks.. we have the only effective treatment....the rest will take time....everyone has a choice.... if cannot wait there are others stocks....no where near as bad as sp behaviour on tils.
I think RM's statement in the RNS "....indicating that it could be an important treatment in the coming virus season" was ill-advised, no regulator is likely to approve the use of a drug on the back of a small phase II trial (without even peer-review of the results), I think they are realising how long this process takes, hence the radio silence. SNG have a good product and good fundamentals so we will get their eventually but its unlikely to be unlocked in the next weeks, more likely into the new year. IMO.
There is no timeline Ghia, confused people getting muddled up.
Just to set the record straight:
Can someone please provide the proof to backup the claims that RM is late on delivering an update that he promised.
Unless I missed something he promised COPD data in Summer and has delivered that.
The timeline for the next piece of news seems to be being made up in Pi’s heads and that will only lead to frustration.
Patience required and if you feel like it take advantage of a bit of weakness in the share price.
Parsley - even a broken clock is right twice a day. You’re not some kind of investing genius for saying the price might get lower on no news in a volatile market in the middle of a pandemic. Slow hand clap.
Right in your own head Parsley, everyone else can youre full of sheeite!
Can you send me some of that tiger repellent as all I get is interest from cougars and it may work on them as well!
Parsley- just inaccurate all the time with your statements. If you are not invested clear off. No objection to tiresome turds in general but you bring nothing to the game. Where does RM state a date for an update?. Ive never known Org to raise an interesting point tbh. Maybe you two can re enact the end of Thelma and Louise. Please have a webcam fitted to the dash when you do it though :)
Would you like to buy some tiger repellent? I've been wearing it all day - so far, not a single tiger attack.
The onus is on you to provide evidence for your claims.
All else is quackery. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it may just be a duck :)
Re: Weaker strain - to successfully make this point, you would need to provide evidence. Saying 'many doctors privately believe' is not evidence. Your anecdotes are certainly getting weaker.
Re: investing, let me just check my IRR. Oh yes. I'm good, thanks.
Perhaps you should filter me?
Not at all implausible that you have a pilot friend, old chap, it was what you claimed he told you that was clearly nonsense.
You’re spot on, lack of political will as the plan is vaccines, not saving lives now. Pretty worried about my money
Tommy... whilst I agree with most of what you say, I would hope that we are much further along in "negotiations" than your post suggests !! GLA
Sorry for such a long post, but I've been sitting on the outside for some time now...
I put my faith and money in Synairgen many months ago. In the early days we had lots of research data, including China’s excellent January trials with INF on its front line medical staff. Should any doubt remain look behind the so called ‘curtain’ and check out China’s collaboration with Cuba. Cuba has an impressive pharmaceutical record and is producing its own treatments.
Cuba has a population over 11m and its reported death tally for Covid19 stands at just 115. Their own treatment is ‘Cuban interferon alpha 2b’ developed over the last 30 years.
The SNG001 treatment is best used at the start of infection, so we’re all expecting the home trial results to be better than the hospital trials…. but my dilemma is how easily big pharma has managed to write off hydroxychloroquine, and are they doing the same with SNG001, for them it’s all about the vaccine. I don’t think it unreasonable to assume that individuals with the expertise and recognition required to peer review our results of nine weeks ago are in some way indebted to big pharma, hence no publication.
Since our results big pharma have tried to rescue their own therapeutic Remdesivir by prescribing it together with INF, although nowhere near as good as SGN001 it will have a positive effect.
All governments across the UN appear to be doing and saying the same thing, and seem unable to push therapeutics, only vaccines. The delay in getting SNG001 out into the market place is going to cost many many lives. How is the knowledge of SNG001 best put into the public domain? Maybe the embarrassment will force government to act sooner rather than later…
GLA & DYOR
All this sustained de-ramping has goaded me into action. There can be only one reason why some people like to spend their time arguing against a share and tell us all that it is all going wrong. They are unlikely to be the caped crusaders of investment, sent to save us all from a falling share price! More likely they are trying to induce negative sentiments for their own ends, otherwise they would simply sell their holdings and find more interesting things to get on with.
I've topped up, very happy with the 170 price too.
Thanks.
