It must have been an interesting/turbulent time at SEE during the Bosch Bid period when DMS was evolving as a core developmental necessity to the new safety platform and with 5G/V2V/V2everything being developed rapidly.
We had SEE Ericsson /Veoneer/ Xilinx /Conti with a plan and potentially GM/ Qualcomm with another. The flies on the wall would have had a ring side seat to that drama.
Lets hope Continental Have many Asian clients, especially Japan. As presumed on here many times Bosch & Continental are both SEE.
Sch/ Yes new appointments
Sm2/ I have no idea but the growing headcount of senior established Conti roles moving to senior SEE positions is intriguing.
Looking good Johnchucka!
Do you think Continental have loaned us these key staff members to help SEE implement a DMS solution for Continental or do you see these moves in a different way?
john - Are these all new SEE appointments from Continental AG? We've become a proxy subsidiary of Continental. They may as well take us over, at a decent premium of course

Seeing 2020
I hope it's the latter but not a problem if it's both.
I see Continental chose Xilinx (2018)
Continental AG announces Assisted & Automated Driving Control Unit based on Xilinx All Programmable Technology
Continental’s incorporation of Xilinx All Programmable technology “provides developers the ability to optimize software for the appropriate processing engine or to create their own hardware accelerators with the Xilinx All Programmable technology. The result is the ultimate freedom to optimize performance, without sacrificing latency, power dissipation, or the flexibility to move software algorithms between the integrated chips, as the project progresses.”
“Our Assisted & Automated Driving Control Unit will enable automotive engineers to create their own differentiated solutions for machine learning, and sensor fusion. Xilinx’s All Programmable Technology was chosen as it offers flexibility and scalability to address the ever-changing and new requirements along the way to fully automated self-driving cars,” said Karl Haupt, Head of Continental’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems business unit. “For Continental, the Assisted & Automated Driving Control Unit is a central element for implementing the required functional safety architecture and, at the same time, a host for the comprehensive environment model and driving functions needed for automated driving.”

Plenty of poachers turned gamekeepers. It helps to know exactly what what the other side wants. The best way to do that is to hire their best. They know the lingo, know the requirements etc
JC, I hope not , no airbags on bicycles even the expensive ones our staff can afford
Surely they joined to change the world or hit 300p, perhaps both
