Looking like a good decision for Opti to take some profit and cash up when they did here. The endless ramps of subscription numbers and calculations of multi million sales for a pre commercial outfit with no business history is behind this huge reality fall. People led up the garden path by blind ramps when the stock was already at a lofty valuation imo.
Nick,
If you intend to take everything I say literally and expect me to explain myself, I'll be on minus £35 p/h.
By your admission, you have not listened to or read every interview I conducted with Stuart. If you think I am going to rummage through my archive to prove a point. No, thank you.
Most peeps will never pay for a service, period. Too many think these BBs are all the research they need. Oddly enough, they eventually learn it is not. It is a false economy.
In the meantime, I duck potshots.
Hi Elric,
Thanks for taking the time to explain your approach and reasoning on here. There is however at least one contradiction in your post. You say that you earn a living from doimg this, but you also say you probably earn only a few pence an hour?
You also claim that others only conduct 'softball' interviews. Please can you give examples lf where you've asked 'hardball' questions of Stuart?
Don't get me wrong, I've found your interviews with Stuart (those I've been able to access) really interesting and insightful, but I don't think that you put him under pressure to answer difficult questions, in my experience.
I remain an ardent supporter and investor of SA and SBTX, but I do share the frustration that Stuart has given only one interview via a paid subscription at a time investors are clearly lacking confidence.
Not squared at you, just a general frustration.
One more reflection, if you are trying to win more subscriptions, stating that you were going to give something free, then changing your mind because people's complaints is counter productive.
Can you imagine if Stuart decided to withdraw the special offer on Axisbiotix because some people were questioning the efficacy of the product?
Rant over!!
rebarm,
I earn a living from it. Now, look up amateur.
Don't bemoan my work because you don't want to pay £35 for someone hard work. Do you work for free? I thought not! You are so shortsighted you do not understand by doing these interviews SA is communicating to a large group of HNWI. Moreover, Proactive will charge something like £12k pa and what do investors get? Softball interviews with hardly any time, most savvy investors don't even bother watching. SA had plenty to say and blew off a lot of steam he probably would not have done with Proactive.
No feedback from proactive, no proactive relationship whereby I communicate grievances, relay queries, and get answers. This save SA a lot of time and bother allowing him to do his job.
Ask yourself how much exposure you have, and ask yourself if the feedback from members would ease your obvious nervous disposition? I'm not asking a king ransom.
I bet if I was to calculate my hourly rate for each editorial it would something like 35p an hour. ;(
I usually provide it free after a short period, 48 hours. I don't think I will this time.
Thanks, Elrico, the podcast was reassuring and why this company is hugely undervalued. M/M's must be building stock for the inevitable rise when Croda releases their client base. I am not losing my head, on this occasion. This is most definitely not a sell at this price.
Yes agreed beinthelead, and no need to apologise, it's sometimes hard to read sentiment in these messages but I wasn't offended at all!
Yes, sorry Nick. Apologies if it came across rude/frustrated toward you, it was not intended.
I feel your frustration, clearly.
On most points we are agreed beinthelead, I share your frustration and appraisal of the potential impact of communicating outside of a paid subscription. I was merely considering a course of action to try and resolve.
The point is Nick, if he communicated to investors outside of a paywall (still amazes me) it would hold more weight and could do a better job of filling in the gaps to a wider and much broader audience.
We, as PI’s shouldn’t be given the time of day by a CEO if we contacted him directly.
Have you tried contacting Stuart directly rebarm? He's usually very responsive in my experience. He might be able to offer the same info via another channel for example?
Given the severity of the sp drop today, I do think that SA should have been giving an open update rather than one with an amateur blogger sitting behind a paywall. SA needs to improve his communication or PIs will start to lose confidence in him if/when another sp shock occurs. Not impressed!
Listened to the podcast.
I take it from what Elrico’s was saying that something re Croda is expected this Q4. What is it exactly that is expected? I can’t see anything in the results or interim results re Q4.
TIA
Brilliant to hear the spirit and even anger is Stuart’s voice whilst talking about the share price today. For me, I think it’s a case of leave him to it and check back in on the share price around Christmas.
Brilliant passion from Stuart, thanks for sharing Elric.
