Yes financials the next big one, he said he was aiming for after Easter sometimes but definitely earlier than previous years

During which there's a good chance you'll have the 2020 financials (with forward-looking statement , post-report date developments etc) and whatever other contract wins we can look forward to.....Wouldn't be surprised to see some II (or maybe Chinese) interest either.

Lock ins are for proper companies - that's why there are rare - and its showing the market the "Spinee" is prepared to stand by the spin [or us vicariously!!]
How many of the last 12 months spivy placings have had lock ins? ZERO - and where did the price go - back to placing or lower.
I rest my case your honour.
If you're an investor, then a lock-in period really should not seem onerous.
Especially in fresh and early-stage AIM companies "share flipping" (often by institutions) is a huge cause of volatility both in SP and sentiment. Lock-ins help prevent that sort of nonsense. I'm perfectly happy to be held to that same high standard as Cathal, and demonstrate to the market that this is not a flash in the pan to grab some cash, but a serious investment opportunity.
Isn’t a lock in period normally just for insiders? I’ve been in a couple of IPOs recently and the lock in period was only for institutions and I’ve managed to sell shares inside the lock in period.
This link explains the lock in period
www.investopedia.com/ask/answer/12/ipo-lockup-period.asp
I posted this this earlier
"Basically the lock ins for each of these spin offs (if they crystalise) should remove the possibility of turbulence in the SP. You are in it to win it or have the attention span of a 2 year old. CF stated that he want steady growth in the SP not for it to become a pinball machine for traders and the MM's eg ODX comes to mind. Some who have bought in the last 3 trading days have done so off the back of the potential of a quick in & out. Lets see the posting action over the next few days. I have in 9 months used the green bin once on here. We also have the added bonus that Invesco are almost out".
Less than two hours later we have two posters going in the green bin . Pump & dump lol !
For any newbies the trend has been upward for many months albeit slowly and this will continue. Looks like more green lines appearing on my chats but hey these numpties only rock up on shares with real potential.
well well nothing from JH for a couple of months then on a down day he appears, he was telling people on here he has 7 figures on ORPH, just pure BS, you stick to giving your advice to Tils, SNG,ODX, oh and GDR lol, oh your right you do have 7 figures just found your holding, 0000000, GL
Very happy with the lock in period - bye bye traders. OO is a legendary company in the making with all the spin offs.
Will make a lot of long term investors wealthy.
He is delivering. Will always be the traders and was wondering when they would ‘sell on the news’. As an investor very comfortable with the direction we’re heading.
A few remarks about taking 5-6 weeks for the
demerger. In current circumstances that is pretty
good imo. There is a considerable amount to be undertaken by both the company and its advisors.
I think Cathal is playing a blinder.
Another master stroke by CF looking after genuine holders of Orph. I salute you.
Imutex and other news will come - stop beating your chest JoanHarry - you wouldn't do in front of Russky so don't do it here - please. Keep this forum decent and respectful.
Russky was in these when you was in nappies 6p.
Just putting a little reality behind the drop, imho the market was expecting more news on the big ticket spin offs Imutex and Prep
In for a quick buck RAFTY (!) - that's why there is a lock-in with spin-offs - control the greed factor - intelligent move - wish there was more of this about in the financial market.
A real +ve for longterm (1-5yrs) shareholder value and protects the interests of the company.
Another momentum killer RNS by CF "the puppet master" keeping a lid on things yet again. :)
Another six weeks of guessing to ensue.

Hey ho, back to sleep and maybe pick up some on the dip that will follow as those in for the divi get out and come back later.
GLA, Si. :)
Well Mr depressive has just rocked up with what I think is first post here. And true to form the post uses negatives.
why would you want immutex and prep included? they are their own spin outs.
Statto, you cant say categorically that's what CF meant at all, that's your interpretation. If he meant they were below 3% he would have said "Invesco are now below 3%" but he didn't he said "they are gone" my interpretation of that is they are completely out. I have tried to clarify this with CF himself but not had a reply, unless someone has some more reliable evidence that they are still holding.
No. Market taking some profits after a quick 50% run up.
Market maybe a little disappointed that Imutex and Prep are not included.
Recordd ate is 'to be determined' , see
.." The distribution in specie of the entire issued share capital of ORPH Pharma IP by the Company to Newco will be in return for Newco allotting and issuing Newco Ordinary Shares to Open Orphan Shareholders who are registered on the Open Orphan register of members at the specified demerger record date at a time and date to be determined by the Company and notified to the Shareholders in due course, on the basis of the determined Ratio (save that fractions of a Newco Ordinary Share will not be issued)..."
HTH
It’s a good thing that there’s a lock-in period, not a bad thing.
What is the record date to benefit from the spin off shares, I can’t find one in the circular?
Invesco were out as a notifiable institutional investor a while back. Hence the tr1 which was filed and that is what CF meant. But they weren't "out out" as they could still be holding less than 3% of the shares
CF did say Invesco were out but it wasn’t clear whether he meant completely out or just below 3% ...
