It’s quite disgraceful in all fairness.
It requires protection to avoid contamination looooooool that’s the same as all diagnostic tests!
Evening all,
OK so looking into this exclusive non story in the indie.
This is a rehash of the original exclusive story by the same Samuel Lovett on 28th Sept.
It is purely a political play for more funds from the government for certain NHS Trusts in the UK.
The one mentioned in the article "Norfolk community health & care nhs trust" have been highlighted before as wanting more cash before they agree to use these.
Look into more detail in the story and it states the reason for not wanting to use them is a safety cabinet and staff to monitor the test ....lol
What a joke. and if you dig a little deeper, who is the leader of the Norfolk community health & care NHS trust. it is Stephen Benns who also happens to be the Chairman of "North Norfolk Labour party".. The lengths people go to to get some extra cash and try to score points against the opposition party when the country is crying out for all parties / people to work together against this disease.
It will all come out in the wash.
Usain, I very much doubt he will get a response! How is this story still up after that government clarification.
A friend did say they had made Graham aware.
Yes edited 30 mins ago, maybe Grahams been on the phone ;)
sir thank you
Yes, the original article didn't have that quote from 'the government spokesman' It's been edited within the last hour.
wasn't
neil thanks someone has just pointed out it was added!! it want there when i read it
donnodjrtrader this is written within the Independent article.
The government has insisted that the rollout is not being stopped and that there are no plans to remove the existing machines, some of which have been validated and are now providing rapid testing for hospital patients and staff.
A spokesperson for the government said: “All the testing technologies used in NHS hospitals have been clinically validated and are highly accurate."
sir was that a response to my question??
That was missing from the original article, it's just been added.
Agree with Kaeren,
what roll out of this scale is free of teething problem & particularly in the highly politicized environment of Covid health provision. The question is how solvable it is & how much solution is already factored in to the contract plan already. In a way it is an opportunity to work more closely with health service, embedded support & training can be harmonious arrangements that solidify relationships . Perhaps the SP will drop on hysteria but perhaps they just need resetting delivery approach for the second 160 machines.
Conspiracy theory - Maybe Primerdesign and the Independent are collaborating in order that an RNS can be released on Monday. One way to grab some headlines through temporary bad news and enable the really good news to be more widely spread - ' All news is good news '.
Neilrich thanks for the info when and where was that said???
Surely not our beloved newspapers recycling old news because they have an agenda, or are bored, trying to sensationalize?
Best place for these things is in the chippy,

He is on twitter if anyone can be bothered to query any of his article.

What kind of VAR system has the Independent got installed ?
So someone tweet this sports writer requesting an article that is facuialy correct.
You are quite correct, this is old news. I believe it was a training issue with NHS Staff.
I have no doubt any large rollout anywhere of anything causes teething problems. I also have no doubt GM has already rectified this or is in the process of doing so. Do not believe for one second that NHS will do U turn, any issues if they exist are operator issues and simple training can rectify easily. If a contract had been cancelled then an RNS would have been issued . This is a rehashed article from October and will only impact SP if pi's panic. No doubt mm will try it on but I have no intention of panic selling. Total over reaction to old news.
Maybe creating last chance to create mates rates before news, especially on a Monday morning ?
Just from the post last night that Blackrock have increased their holding to 820000 shares circa £9 Million - with all their contacts I am sure they have done plenty of research on this never mind the research from us lowly PI's?
