I think you guys are all missing to point.
At present, anybody who goes into hospital needs a quick covid test before to confirm where to put them in the hospital. (as they have covid wards and non covid wards) and also anybody needing an operation also needs a quick covid test in order be be given the ok for the said operation. this is for a minor or major op, so this is where the plan is for all these machines to be used going forward. As most minor operations are currently on hold due to the hospitals being full with covid patients, there is not the need at present for the larger roll out. but this will happen when things calm down and the NHS starts to catch up on all these cancelled operations. btw it dosnt matter if the patient has have the vaccine or not as they will still need to be tested.
