Oh as I post that we are down 9%. Maybe it was a sell!!
I think there’ll be some blue. Not much as it isn’t a stunning rns and the markets may be pounded again but if it spikes 5% that’s a healthy return in 24 hours.
PI100, that 102k buy will be worth less by close of play today, so not sure they were fortunate.
If that after hours 102k was a buy, good timing ahead of results. Very fortunate timing!
Positive on the whole, disappointing timing given the battering the market got yesterday, but that’s one thing we can blame DA for! Bit of blue today, hopefully. Onwards and hopefully the occasional positive rns from here will start a re rate
Skeletor - yes what a load of waffle…. is this what a “marketing guy” gets you?
Even though it mentioned the first 100 days review a few times, i’m still unclear what the outcome was (other than they have to find some non covid revenue)
You’re right on figures - they’ve used percentages to pretty much tell a similar story to last year. Upside being that it hasn’t decreased and they can use it to vile
on.
Anyway, main thing…. £101 in the bank. wow.
It would have been news had they not hit their forecast made a couple of months ago.
I like this
We will also endeavour to streamline our R&D programme to ensure we are keenly focused on commercially attractive opportunities and bringing the right solutions, to the right customers at the right time. We will also re-evaluate how we leverage our products in each of our target global markets as we continue on our path of international expansion
it will shift from being a "development led" to a "market led" business, changing how success is measured at the Company from the number of products developed to building a greater understanding of its customers' needs and developing solutions to best meet them. As a consequence, plans have been put in place to conduct more comprehensive upfront market opportunity assessments prior to determining how best to invest to deliver value.
& more information given on product splits but shame there wasn't more detail on how markets are to "leveraged" & comments on DHSC are lame - why can't the business assert its contractual rights if they believe they exist a year on?
If revenue YE22 is £50m at 70% margin the current cost base would result in a loss so another lingering question.
I have to agree with Harchris that after the end to the year we have had since the £100m was guided I am amazed we have come slightly under as opposed to over. Admittedly I knew we were unlikely to have smashed guidance as that would have necessitated an RNS I believe but even so….
I also noted a point made either here or on Twitter that the stock we wrote off will have probably been sold given the international demand in last 3 months but no mention here of gaining a credit for that.
Most annoyingly was the opening 2 paragraphs. Have you ever seen so much meaningless management waffle thrown in? That’s how I talk to my boss in my 1-1 if I have actually just been trading stocks and watching Netflix rather than working. I can’t believe the radio silence and wait has not yielded at least something worth waiting for at the end.
Non covid rev - they try to big this up using percentages. 14% this years be 5% last year!! However 14% of 95 is £13m and 5% of 270 is £13.5m so I believe we have slightly less non covid revenue this year?
The positives- well just the one but it is a biggie. As mentioned elsewhere. We have £100m in the bank in cash and are valued at around £170m so £70m enterprise value - even if we are just making £15m a year rev on a 40% ebit then the £70m undervalues us.
So despite my anger at this update I still think we are undervalued (but not worth the 600p target I had in my spreadsheet before today).
ATB
Everyone had been holding out for this update in the hope we might get a decent uplift in share price. Unfortunately that's not an RNS which will cause sentiment to change here.
I think we're all going to be a bit disappointed in the circumstances that revenue came in at £95.8m but the rest is very positive.
Think you will find they have stated it in a few rns'..
Well I did tell you all it would be around this for revenue and was called a deramper by some even though it was very easy to prove yourself by emailing Mandy.
Careful of who you listen to on here...
Results are decent, the outlook for 2022 was a bit meh though
