That is a bit silly. With Lloyds, if a special dividend is paid in the future using the withheld capital, then those entitled to the 'special' will be those holding shares on xd date for the special dividend.
f
The xd date for the final dividend was going to be on the16th April, so anyone who has sold their
shares didn't suffer the minus 2.24p effect on the sale price.
...July 4th, Covid.
and I would not rule out another London lock-down.
and I wouldn't rule out you making a positive post
"The West will go to war with China before your dividend is reinstated"
Trifle, wouldn't it be better for us to sit on the fence for at least a couple of years and then choose a side, just as America has twice done to us.
Why doesn't the media never explain how we ended up with Hong Kong in the first place, is Britain embarrassed with it's history again.
Snige
Why should anyone be embarrassed by long ago history. It is history. You on the on other hand must be embarrassed with what you post on here.
Maybe the world should look at history to see the exploits of Mohammed . If some think it right to pull down statues and try to get streets renamed then maybe those same people should use the same principle in advocating the demolishing of all mosques.
snige, sit on the fence...? UK offering 3 million Hong Kong residents permanent UK status , i really don't think China will take this news sitting down....
DT
''UK offering 3 million Hong Kong residents permanent UK status ''
Sturgeon is always is favour of immigration into Scotland. I assume she would welcome them all. I wonder if she has ever contemplated though why not many immigrants into the UK are eager to live in Scotland.
snige, sit on the fence...? UK offering 3 million Hong Kong residents permanent UK status , i really don't think China will take this news sitting down....
What on earth is China going to do about it? We buy far more from them than they buy from us.
LTI,
Rather than letting your belly rumble that you know nothing about , consider that there are more English in Scotland than there are Scots in England.
China now with its might thinks it can treat the rest of the world as it treats it's own people, very scary
RW
For most people, that is not hard to figure out why.
Could have something to do with the number of people born in Scotland compared with England.
also RW
English people are not immigrants. Did you not know we are all part of the UK.
RW
''there are more English in Scotland than there are Scots in England.''
I was taking your word for it, but having a quick look it appears to me that just on numbers, that is not the case, let alone a percentage of population.
I believe about 20% of Scots are living elsewhere in the UK.
which is why the SNP didn't want those 20% a vote in 2014.
"""What on earth is China going to do about it? We buy far more from them than they buy from us."""
it's not often one reads a question with the answer in the same sentence....., you're gifted...
LTI, good point about tin knickers sturgeon...
LTI, the reason most immigrants don’t want to live in Scotland is mainly down to the weather, it often is 10C warmer in the south of England than in Scotland which is quite considerable. The other reason is employment, more better paid jobs in England and immigrants relations and friends are more likely to have previously moved to England for these reasons.
RW
''We went for every eligible vote and that included 16 and 17 year olds''
This has been gone over many many times over the years. It was just another attempt by the SNP to bolster their vote in the referendum. Pure manipulation.
By the way, I think the voting age should be 21.
didn't Steptoe rely on the young voters... but .....
RW
''trying to exclude any eligible persons from voting''
It was the SNP who made up the rules as to who was eligible, and they made the rules to fit in with their view as to what would give them a better chance of winning.
Ask DCB who hasn't lived in the UK for a long time whether he still voted in some UK related issues.
RW
2014 is history, just as 2016 is history. People who lost in these referendums, need to concentrate on the future.
With stupid posts like that no wonder you've called yourself all to pot ,cause let's face you have lost the plot...its all over
For all the talk of 'air bridges' & 'quarantine-free' travel, it doesn't matter what the UK government says or does.
It will be up to other countries to decide what we can or can't do.
Useful preparation for the reality of Brexit...
People who do not wear a face mask in closed public areas in Spain will face fines of up to 100 euros ......holiday Brits please note!
